IamAtikulate: SW have the highest political apathy in Nigeria even more than the East. SW doesn't give bloc votes because of the heavy presence of non-indigenes. So SW cannot give all their votes to APC.
In 2015, 4 million votes were casted but APC won with 580k votes, while out of the 700k votes casted in Anambra, 660k voted for PDP. Anambra neutralized SW's votes by over 80k votes. Lol at your ignorance, Jonathan and Buhari shared the vote in 2015 because many are not convinced about Buhari's agenda and Jonathan made mistake of underating Southwest electorate which made him lost millions of votes to Buhari. My own mum voted for jonathan, will you call my mom foreigner? Most of the so called foreigner always go back to their villages to register and cast their votes. That is why Lagos with population of 20million only has about 6 million voters while Oyo state with population of about 5million has only 2+ million voters. Go back to 1999 and 2003 to see that they do give block vote when ever they are convince about who to pour the whole vote for. Don't forget that 80% of kwara state and 30% of kogi state are Yorubas who cast their vote along with Southwest. |

deomelo: Fashola left behind countless projects from power plants to 15 waterworks, hospitals, 17 maternity centers, 30 skill centers, roads, bridges including the best bridge in Nigeria, housing estates, markets, malls, Jetty terminals, asphalt plants, Lagos Metro, new government institution buildings and so on all over Lagos state, but obi left nothing so of what relevance and accomplished nothing.
Debt is a credible instrument of progress and development so no debt is not an achievement, it's stupidity and a sign incompetence and dereliction of duty.
....but of course, many of you are too shallow and misguided purvey sane and rational thoughts and this is why you end up with useless and unproductive leaders in your villages You made sense at the beginning but ended it sensesly. Typical Nigerian without manner and ability to contribute with sense except to trow insult even she he does not really understand the discussion properly. |
Politics › Re: Why The North Are Not Atikulating YET by seunfly: 2:10pm On Oct 14, 2018 |
IamAtikulate: When the time comes the tsunami that would sweep Buhari away would come from NE and NC. This is the reason.
Last election, out of the 4 millions votes casted in the South West, APC won in the South West with 580k votes while out of the 700k votes casted in Anambra alone, 660k voted for PDP. This means that in the election between South West vs Anambra, PDP won with 80k votes.
So Anambra alone can neutralize SW votes.
The number of registered voters in the other 4 South East States and South South can is slightly more than the number of registered voters in North West, Buhari's strongest hold.
Then Atiku would ride to power through the 20 million registered voters in North East and North Central.
So why are this people not Atikulating yet:
1. The people that would vote for Atiku are still mourning the deads buried in Benue's mass grave and so don't have time for Social Media.
2. The people that would vote for Atiku in Plateau are still rebuilding their churches and buring their deads, so don't have time for social media yet.
3. The people that would vote for Atiku are still mourning their deads in Taraba.
4. In Adamawa, they are still mourning the air force bombing of their villages because of cows.
5. In Kogi, they are still looking for away to meet ends meet and don't have time for Social media.
6. In Borno, they are still angry with the raping and starving of their people at the IDP camp and still mourning the Rann aerial bombing.
7. In Sokoto, they are busy with Tambuwal homecoming and they don't have time for social media
8. In Kano the Kwakwassiyya are not noisemakers and they are waiting for the NW PDP Campaign Coordinator Kwankwanso to mount the Podium.
9. In Zaria, the 10 million Shia moslems are still mourning the Zaria massacre
10. In Zamfara, the indigenes are still mourning the lose of their homes to the hands of herdmen.
So the people that would Atikulate in the North are not noisemakers.
Let meet at the polls.
#IamAtikulate, what of you? Lifeless? Do you understand mathematics and logic at all? The whole of southeast registered voters is btw 7milliion to 10million while southwest is 15million to 16million. How will anambra only neutralise southwest vote if they decides to cast all their votes for APC. |

NonsoWow: This happened before the PDP presidential primaries when Atiku came to solicit for Anambra PDP votes. Atiku should listen to the southeast PDP stakeholders and replace peter obi with another generally acceptable candidate like Osita Chidoka or Chukwuma Soludo if he wants a united southeast behind him in 2019. But if he insists on peter obi, then he should prepare himself for sabotage in the southeast because these guys are serious and they are in the position to make or mar him in the southeast. Ok |

jaymichael: You are right about Obi, a very prudent administrator. about Fashola and debt, Lagos with it's cosmopolitan nature and higher population, the need for infrastructures like road maintenance and construction, health care, education etc is many times higher and puts a very big strain on scarce resources. Peter Obi can achieve much because Nigerian Governors are "emperors" they have the state house of assembly in their pockets. In the Federal level, it is a different ball game entirely. The President can't even REDUCE his own salary as every penny he spends and receives must be appropriated. Many of his actions must be RATIFIED by Parliament. He cannot RESTRUCTURE the country for his convenient administration, that is a constitutional issue, he lacks the power. He cannot sanction or sack even a civil servant, that rests with the Civil Service Commission. It is as if the country is structured to be at the mercy of people who are determined to see it plundered to the bones. If the President's powers are this limited, what can even the VP do? I don't see Peter Obi replicating his achievements when he was a Governor as Vice President. You are very right about this country. Although those constitution procedure was put in place to checkmate the excesses of the president, I sees it as necessary evil. However I still feel president can still get things done even with his limited power but certainly they can't operate like state governor. |

Was Atiku in PDP 8 months ago? As for me, I like Peter Obi he is one of the first class governors we have in Nigeria, I rank him in the same league as Fashola, Donald Duke kwakwaso etc but Peter Obi also manage to achieve those thing without putting his state in debt like Fashola and Donald Duke. Anyway I won't even vote for APC or PDP they are one and the same. I'm casting my vote for Donald duke. |

BrandSpurNG: Having opened its 25th Nigerian store just a few months ago, Africa’s largest grocery retail chain has revealed that it will not be opening any more outlets in the country for the time being.
According to Shoprite CEO Pieter Engelbrecht, “We had to impair four loss-making stores in Nigeria… we have slowed down in terms of our expansion until we get better clarity in terms of banned products and foreign exchange fluctuations.” He added that the chain’s Nigerian supermarkets were currently only carrying “half of our ranges because of the products banned.” The products affected by import bans include rice, flour and frozen meat.
There are two main factors behind these restrictions on imports – a shortage of foreign currency and a desire to boost domestic food production. But with domestic production unable to meet demand, smuggling is flourishing and the prices of staple foods are rising, according to local media reports.
SOURCE: https://brandspurng.com/shoprite-puts-nigerian-expansion-plans-on-ice/ Why can't they source those ban product internally? Pls tell me why they must import frozen meat from south Africa when we get plenty cows here. It is just a deliberate act to help south Africa's economy against Nigeria. |

Bit by bit, Europe is getting fed up of America's antics and they are reducing their backing of America's foreign policies. This turn around is as a result of EU trying to create alternative system to SWIFT $$$ system which makes it is possible for america to use sanctions as a weapon. America knows EU took this step to protect her energy demand and america just has to please EU by exempting energy, this will discourage EU from setting up that alternative system. |
