AyaE: Hello Guys, my grant just came in today!!!! Thanks to everyone who has contributed on this thread one way or the other on this thread. It has helped immensely. My time line: Submitted application-31st July 2019 Conditional offer- 15th July 2019 CoE- 24th November 2019 Biometrics- 27th December 2019 Submitted Visa Application- 25th January 2020 IELTS Score- 7.0 (I had a minimum band score of 7.0 so my average was 7.0). I got a waiver from the school so I didn't need IELTS for school admission. My agent advised I write one for visa so I did. School- Flinders University Sponsor's account: My maternal uncle. Submitted 2 bank statements. One had 18m and the other was a fixed deposit account that matures every 30days. It had 13m. Course- Social work (masters) BSc- Microbiology
Submitted my credentials, letter from sponsor, proof of relationship to sponsor (uncle & Mum's NPC) and sponsor's account statement. I didn't submit payslips or my account statement sha. Challenges faced: I already had an MSc in Microbiology so applying for a second masters was what I had to prove. Plus, with Social Work being a high risk course I had to write a convincing SOP. (I can share that with anyone interested cos mehn this took me like a month to write). My work experience was also a bonus cos I work as a care assistant. Sometime in December the bank statement I used for the school admission could no longer be used cos he had to move the funds to another bank for investment reasons. He had to submit another letter to this effect. He also had to back it up with the fixed deposit account. School resumes on Monday so if anyone could help with flight and accommodation links, I'd be most grateful.
Thank God!!!!!!! @AyaE kindly help with that your convincing SOP to serve as a guide in drafting mine. My email address: mytimemystar@gmail.com. Thank you in advance |

Thank you Ayae, I appreciate your candid opinion. @others, Please help with your opinion also in terms of VISA application with regards to educational background and the proposed course (Social work). AyaE: I would say whichever one works for you then you go ahead and do it. I don't exactly have the right answer for you I'm sorry but the social work degree does give you a higher chance of job opportunities and PR. |

AyaE: Before you decide on any course, I'll advise you to check the skilled occupation list. The most common pathway for graduates of MPH is Health Promotion officer and the jobs are quite limited. Should you intend to stick through, it's possible to come in and switch courses after your first semester. Don't come and pay millions for a course that won't get you PR. @AyaE I would like to have your opinion and that of other experienced ones on this platform in my present position. I have an offer with UTAS on MSc Finance (Data Management) specialization and I have accepted it and also went ahead to submit documents needed for GTE. However, I also applied for MSc Social work in the same school through another agent and I was given an offer that includes 6 months BSW and 2 years MSW. My concern now is my educational background and work experience suit MSc Finance but I have engaged in some voluntary activities in my place of work and also personal that I stated in my SOP when applying for the MSW. Will it affect my VISA processing if I go ahead to accept the second offer on the ground that my educational background does not align with social work or I should just stick with the first and change when I arrive in Aussie? Kindly help with your candid opinion without reservations. |

Thanks a bunch, this will definitely help. alao1981: Receipts are two ways. If she does not have the one from her suppliers, she should have evidence of her sales to her own customers. Her bank accounts will also show all her business transactions especially money she paid to her vendors in china as well as payments received from her customers. That is enough to show her business |

Good morning guys, please I urgently need your help.
My agent requested my sponsor's CAC certificate and which she confirmed to me that she does not have. In fact, all her business transactions are completed online. No receipt nor invoice for the goods she purchases from China. She is in the Jewelry business.
Kindly give me pointers on what can be done to replace the CAC certificate to prove her source of income. |

Thanks a bunch. I will go back to him with this advise and hopefully he will be able add one or two things to it or come up with a better one. AyaE: The relationship is indeed far but I think with the right packaging and the God factor, nothing is impossible. Can't the sponsor transfer the funds to your mum? Maybe if the sponsor pays your fees using her account and write a very convincing letter of sponsorship saying why she wants to sponsor you (e.g your mum accommodated her or sponsored her in school when her family could not afford it)...it might work. Ask your agent for other possible options. You will have to show proof of relationship tho. |

Thanks for this. I have another situation at hand, my sponsor is my cousin (her mum is my mum’s cousin) and my agent is saying that it my not fly because the distance is too much. I would appreciate any advise from anyone. Pls note that this person travels to the US and UK a lot and from what I heard they share information. Thank you VickayThrills: You can defer before acceptance, before payment and also after. It all depends on when the decision to defer is taken.
Deferment in UTAS is done once from the information on their site. You can also ask them directly to know if there's a consideration or exceptions based on the border condition.
I do not know when the border will open tho. I'm also waiting and looking forward to that.
Thank you... |

Good evening everyone,
I have a situation at hand, I got an offer from UTAS and I am contemplating whether to accept it or not due to this border restriction. However, I have a few concerns that I need clarity on from everyone.
1. How is the deferment of admission done? Is it after acceptance of offer and payment of the course deposits or before? 2. Is there a chance of the borders being opened before July 2021 because the admission is for the July session. 3. How many times can one defer admission in UTAS?
Kindly help with answers. I do not also mind further information/guidance from the experienced ones on this journey. I am stuck in between, please come to my rescue.
Thank you. |

VickayThrills: Thank you...
Well, it all depends on the school. My school didn't take time. They give an offer within one week, 3 to 5 working days at most unless there's an issue. Great, UTAS you said in your earlier post. I am also applying to the school and my agent told me they started working on it close to three weeks now if not more. With this info now, I think I need to follow up on them more than ever. |

Good to hear that you have received an unconditional offer, God will perfect the remaining steps. Please how long did it take you to receive this offer from the application stage? VickayThrills: Greetings Fam...
I received my unconditional offer today from UTAS. I'm glad the process is moving. The border is just what I'm praying for to open on or before July.
I made enquiries at Access Bank and I wasn't given a clear info as regards payment through Form A.
How long those it take to process cos the person said something about them having backlogs. Again, any idea about the rate and charges?

Thanks Bro. I really appreciate your responses. I sent you a private message. tunlex01: Nominate internal auditor with those banking roles you listed previously would mean giving Vetassess free money.
You need a minimum of 1 year experience and a Bachelor's degree to assess as an Internal auditor with Vetassess. If your BSc is not from OAU, UI, Unilag or FUTA, that means only your Master's degree will fly which most likely only experience after 2017 will be approved (that's if the experience is considered as an Internal auditor role by Vetassess).
P.S - Score of 90 and above does not apply to every occupation. Currently, Internal auditor requires 90 and above for 189 while it's less for the other visa class just that no state is currently nominating the occupation. |

Thanks for your response. I was thinking of an internal auditor role. I do not know if that can bag me enough points. I tried using the calculator and all I could get on VISA 190 and 489 is 65 & 70 respectively. Will I be able to claim points under the internal auditor role? How do I improve my score to meet the recent trend of 90 and above? Everybody come to my aid oooo please!!!!!!, All suggestions are welcomed. Thank you. tunlex01: I'm not sure if there is any occupation you can assess on the list relating to your banking roles. You can assess as an external auditor but you won't be getting points for experience and currently, you need good points to get a nomination as an external auditor.
You can also check the occupation list and see if there is any occupation you can nominate. |

Congrats Bro. Kindly send me the downloaded materials. Email: mytimemystar@gmail.com. Thank you. DonFreshmoney: Time for my testimony (IELTS)
Its been a long time coming. I have been following this thread since part 1 when i was in the UK for my masters. I could have attempted to write the exam there but my procastination got the better of me. I kept pushing it till i landed in Naija in November 2016.
On my arrival, i fortunately got a great job earning quite a huge sum of money so i relegated ielts and canadian dream behind. However, fast forward to 2018 around April. I noticed most of my family friends and people i knew were vamoosing to Canada. I picked interest and paid 40k for 6 weeks tutorials, registered for june 2nd exam with BC. I thought that, isnt it the same English i spoke and wrote in the UK? Result came out and i scored LRWS 7.5, 7, 6.0, 6.5. Wow, i was dismayed and embarrased. Ielts humbled me but their humbling wasnt just once.
I practiced for my second attempt immediately my 1st results were released, i made sure i gave myself 3-4 months gap to prepare properly. Then i heard about IDP , some people told me idp was lenient and i should give it a try. I registered for october 23 exams with idp, results came out and i noticed where my problem was. (Writing). LRWS 9, 7, 6.5, 7.5. I thought i did well in the writing to deserve at least a 7 so i applied for EOR same day. I transferred 46k to IDP and after 3 weeks the results came back unchanged. I was annoyed with myself.
I wanted to apply immediately for the next exam around december but due to christmas festivities and the lack of preparation..i decides to tally and register for my 3rd attempt february 9th with IDP. I prepared only for writing, i never practiced LRW, i used all materials i could see ranging from Liz, Jay, Chris, Ryan, Ieltsbbuddy, ieltsonline. I prayed and fasted for weeks prior and after my exams, i told God that if this didmt work for me this time, i would pass my next attempt. I must say st joseph of Cupertino was my daily prayer. Result came out and still writing was my nightmare LRWS 8, 8.5, 6.5, 7.5.
I was depressed for the first time in my life, everything annoyed me, i couldnt even eat for almost a week. Then i remembered that i told God to make it happem for me in my next trial. I immediately got to work, this time i focused my attention on just a website and i recommend it to ieltstakers. For me she did justice to writing. Her name is Shelly, her website is myieltsclassroom. She broke every inch of the writing down. My friend subscribed for her monthly paid videos and she was magnanimous enough to give me her log in details which i watched, downloaded and followed it religiously to the latter. I never forgot God, i prayed but didnt fast. I made it a duty to pray 3ce a day even at midnight. I registered for june 1st 2019 with IDP, focused only on writing again. I though that listening and reading was easy. Result came out today and to the glory of God i aced my ielts on my 4th attempt. One full year of practice and trial. LRWS 8.5, 9.0, 7.5, 7.0.
My ielts jourmey officially comes to an end. Thank God. I want to tell everyone not to give up. Please dont forget God in your studies. Pray and practice and remain confident in your ability. To be honest, in my 4th attempt i spent 50 minutes on my task 2 infact i asked for extra sheet and filled everything to the last line. I was wondering if i was writing jargons cos i know people were saying you should make your essay short and coincise. My task 1 was rushed, i practically wrote what waa coming from my head and didnt plan. Finally, to all the catholics ielts takers, and of course, christians as a whole. Pray to God and read St Joseph of Cupertino.
Abridged version: (LRWS)

Can anyone confirm this here? I am planning doing same for my wife's certificate evaluation with WES. Avidreader748: Depends on if it is SSCE or GCE.

Which NOC did you use? Your JD is very similar to mine and I used 0122 without any issues as per my gcms notes...awaiting ppr though but my notes show mine application has passed eligibility.
You can actually pass for an assistant operations manager reporting to an operations manager...although I claimed points for the supervisory role since I had more than 3 years experience on that role. I also had a funds transfer history but I didn't bother about getting an NOC for that role.
All the best.

My guess is because most of your JD depicts duties which fall under NOCs such as 1434/6551 which are NOCs of skill type C (ineligible NOCs for Federal Skilled Workers). You might want to take a look at 1212 as your JD as a Head Teller seems similar to a Bank clerks supervisor or collection clerks (bulk tellers) supervisor. |

Thanks for your response. The JD I pasted in the link in your post was not used in the application because of the category c it is. I decided my two previous job positions and put this in my history. The NOC 1212 is for the position of head teller that I used as my secondary NOC. Mamaroon: So sorry to hear this. Looked through your precious posts. I'm thinking (and I may well be wrong)...that it's more than the typo of using 1112 instead of 1212.
Going by your description in this link and the response given, unless your role was supervisory I suspect even 1112 maybe considered inappropriate and that may be why the CSE didn't make a difference.
https://www.nairaland.com/4212543/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/163#64257841
What to do? If you are indeed a supervisor of the 14XX group maybe reapply and rewrite the JD to accurate reflect this. I also suspect that mcstan suggested 1434 because of all the many references to ATM in your JD.
Ps:@everyone it seems NOC is a major deal....let's be very careful and extra finicky when we choose...especially considering the experience of Nnetayo also. |

Dear All,
I am writing this draft to solicit for your advise/help with regards to my application. My application was rejected on the 18th of April 2019 for a reason which I raised CSE on 5 days prior to the day of rejection. The issue is related to mistake on NOC number. Instead of me picking 1212, I picked 1112. This was noticed after 10 months of waiting for PPR via GCMS notes. I would like to hear from everyone on the best way to contest this decision as I am seriously bothered and I can't tell my wife yet because we have sacrificed a lot for this application. Thank you in anticipation of your responses. |
