I am inspired, thank you for sharing. Please, how did you start your NYSE? Are u above 30 yrs?
He started investing in the NGX in 2008 so he's most likely above 30 except he started investing at the age of 14.

Final dividend for Zenith is N4.00 not N3,50. Fair enough.
What happened to GTB?
Zenith:
Interim (N0.50) + Final (N3.50) = Total (N4.00)

GTCO:
Interim (N0.50) + Final (N2.70) = Total (N3.20)

I don't think you've been following trail posts...
If you do, you'll understand why CP's post was ignored. I guess he also knew.
I saw that you mentioned this the last time as well, I also ignored your post grin
Make we just leave story and focus on how best we can make use of the current situation to everyone's advantage.........rather than coming here to mock anyone or jumping out to say "I told you so".
I've never missed a single page since page 1, so I know exactly what's going on here. I don't know CP from anywhere other than his posts on this platform but what I'm aware of is that he's been a great asset to this thread.

If you feel he's come out recently to say ''I TOLD YOU SO'', then so be it! He's earned it, so let's give him his flowers. Besides, most people do it here including you.

Something wey go still drop more than this
As investors, whether long term or short term, we need to learn how to effectively manage risks. Isn't it funny that the same CP whose comments about bull would garner tens of likes followed with praises of how he always got it right, now gets ignored because the narrative has changed? Well, not surprised, it's an aspect of human psychology!

If saying the fact as it is, is termed being controversial I rest my case.

It appears we love things to be sugarcoated.

The people that should not be bothered by what is happening are long term investors. If you are a short term investor, you need a good risk management.
To be honest, I don't understand what the issue is. Whether you say it or not, the market will do exactly what it's going to do. I know it's hard to see paper profit deplete but that is the beauty of the stock market. We should desist from unnecessary bickering and subtle attack on those who have contrary opinion about the current happenings in the market.

So we should convert all our monies to dollars?

Same reason the dollar is feeling fly.
Here comes the classic! Another one is all my expenses are in naira so I have no business with dollars.

Well, fast forward to 2024, most people that I know on/from this platform now have some sort of dollar-denominated investments after lambasting those who took a similar route when USD was between N250 - N450.

Last-last, everyone should do what works for them. However, in all diversifications, consider your current age and circumstance!

We just completed Elliot wave 5
I like the way you're so adamant with your market convictions despite the fact that people find it difficult to accept it. It's kinda funny when @CP made a declaration of bull weeks ago, his comment was bombarded with ''likes'' but the moment he returned with a different message from his ''bedsheet'', people no wan gree again. Indeed, nah serious no gree 4 anybody this 2024! Lol cheesy

The truth is some of these 'ogas' r not really making money from the market... grin knowing too much' sef na problem.. grin na so one of 'my oga' will be telling me...don't buy penny stocks, they r too risky, they r this, they r that...he is still struggling to make enough for himself......Too much Analysis... grin
There is an African proverb that goes: What an old man can see sitting down, the youth cannot see standing up. If you were in the market around 2006/2007, then you'll better understand your oga's point of view. Remember that in a bull market, everything goes green. You need to remain cautious and never let your guard down. Humility is a virtue!

I trade in only 1 or 2 stocks and it works very well for me.The loot is always catholic when hammered.
Correct provided one has diligently done some deep findings. However, the converse is also true. The loss is always catastrophic when ''unhammered''.

Greetings all. I work in Nigeria but earn in dollars. I have always been reluctant to invest in stocks, as my dollar-denominated salary has significantly hedged me against the constant slide of the Naira. Lately, the thought of diversifying into stocks has been recurring. Will buying stocks be as profitable compared to saving in dollars? I am in for the long run (5 to 10 years). Kindly advise. Thanks.
Fantastic line of thought.

I would suggest you diversify into the NYSE/NASDAQ market. You can ask all your questions at https://www.nairaland.com/5669161/us-stocks-pick-alert/417. I'm certain that you will be properly guided.

Well-done!

This VWAP thing you mentioned reminds me of Oga Meshpips... He used it to identify NAHCO as a winner many months ahead of fundamental analysis highlighted it to many. It was still selling below N5 when he strongly recommended it.

I hope he is doing great wherever he is...
I bought my first tranche of NAHCO in July 2020 at 1.99. I recall vividly when he had to send me a WhatsApp message, almost begging me to buy more NAHCO at 2.50 but I did ''STRONG HEAD''. Eventually, I bought the bulk of my holding at N7.50

He meant 500m but disguised for security reason.

500m, minimum of 10% will give you minimum of 50m which is over 4m per month.

4m might go along way, good luck
Are you also EngrKemp? I'm asking because I read his post again and didn't get to see any clue that he meant 500m. Though the stated amount (500k) was just an example, there was nothing that suggested that he actually meant 500m.

Is there a minimum amount of stocks you must hold before you get dividends? I bought on the 13th of September on Trove but I didn't get any dividend
There is neither minimum nor maximum holdings in order to be qualified for dividend. You get paid dividend even if you own just one unit of a stock!

Trove's default account allows you to get paid without filling any e-dividend form while the other type of account requires you to reach out to registrars of the companies you're invested in to complete e-dividend mandate forms.

Check your Trove account balance/bank account balance again or get in touch with Trove for further clarification regarding your account with them.
