My goodness this my thread. I was going through my phone this morning and saw the bookmark for this thread. I haven’t been here since 2015 since I posted this. Our story didn’t end here. As a matter of fact we lost that pregnancy and the grief was overwhelming. August 17 2015 hmm. My plan was to come back after delivery and share the good news here. Alas life happened. For 3 years we didn’t do anything but lived our lives. My wife didn’t want to hear anything IVF for those three years. In 2018 we tried again with FET from 2015 attempt. And by the Grace of God it resulted in BFP and safe delivery in 2019. We currently have triplets who just turned 3 recently.
This is just an abridged version. To everyone still in waiting please know that it will happen for you. Be encouraged Last week a friend of mine just had twins. The last time we spoke about this was when my triplets where born and He asked for some information.
I learned to live my life in those 3 years. The 3 years we didn’t try was one of the hardest period financial, physically and spiritually.
Learn to forgive people who hurt you and move on let God be the judge. Forgiveness and letting go of bitterness is KEY.

I am thankful for stumbling on this page in 2013 because it led us to Dr. Emeka Olive Branch.
I want to encourage everyone still in waiting please hold on. It will happen. I have lived it I know it. I doubted God at times but he was still merciful to us.

Hi All,
I just wanted to share my own news to encourage someone. I stumbled on this group in 2013 after being frustrated with the outcome of an IUI and the shabby service we got from OMNI fertility clinic. we had been married for 3 years then now 6 years now.I was looking for other options and This group provided me with different option. I think it was Blondy who mentioned Dr. Emeka of Olive Branch Medical Center in Lekki operating out of georges back then, after someone complained about a similar incdent at omni and another hospital. We got in contact and went through the test and all. And We went through the IVF process in 2013 and we got a BFN. I remember coming here and posting what happened. I even said I thought it was a sure banker and I got words of encouragement.
So since then I have a silent participant. So this year we decided to revisit the matter again and we did an FET from with frozen embyro's from the 2013 process. Only one out of 5 was viable. A transfer was done And it still didnt work.
So we decide go through a fresh cycle with the Olive Branch Clinic and this time go the full Blastocyst route.
Things where a bit different this time, we where able to do the retrieval and my wife had a bit of OHSS. Infact one time after retreival she was in so much pain she said she wasn't going through this again ever. Thank God that passed.
Well to cut the long story short we did the transfer were asked to come back in 2 weeks. That day we just carried on like we didnt have anywhere to go. we even got to the hospital late that afternoon. And took the result, which was a BFP. Needless to say tears of Joy all around. I couldn't wait to proclaim Psalm 126 (I remember somebody from here proclaimed that when they got their BFP) and did I proclaim it because through this all it was just God and God alone who turned away our captivity. I would like to use this to encourage somebody today, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask of him. I and my wife can testify to this. to him be all the glory.
He will surely come through for you.

Nogen:

So sorry Sir. ICSI/IVF is not one hit though. Some people get a BFP at the first attempt, some after the first, second etc. Above all, it is God who answers and gives babies after all. Please do take heart and send our love to Madam. Be strong and try again after some rest,God will make the cries of babies be heard in your family! Amen
Amen, thank You Nogen, I Know it isnt a one hit but We just prayed and hoped. Thanks

I have been struggling to write this. So Wifey saw AW on day 12 after implantation and at first we thought it was implantation bleeding, called Dr. Emeka and he said we should wait for the PT. Anyways we waited until after the weekend to do the test and the results took longer because they did quantitative test also. Anyways to cut a long story short, the end result was BFN.
I can say I am past the anger and the disappointment of not having gotten a positive result. My wife of course was distraught but I have to say she has come out stronger and more determined. I always thought the ICSI would be a one hit. God knows why it didn't work this time. Eventually he will come through, he always does, Doesn't he? At least I have seen cases where he has been faithful in this forum and even outside, so why would our own case be any different. It is well. Life continues. God is in control, just a matter of time.

prettyrosefave: Hello sisters n brothers, I have always being reading your posts.

Congratss to all the women who got their miracles, non shall cast their young in Jesus name.

Pls ooo, I just went to family section now, where someone said people should stop visiting prayer camps and embrace ivf, that they should also mention they got their kids through ivf in their testimonies instead just calling God God.

Do you need to herald your ivf procedure to all including inlaws?

I have read of some urgly stories here of inlaws who almost scattered a mariage cos of it n another who reject adopted baby, all cos they are awaw of it, will you tell inlaws or friends of your process?

Am not of the oppinion you should not tell them, but only to persons suffering the same thing and dat must be after your success.

Maybe am wrong, what's your view or take?
God gave man the knowledge for IVF. Even with the IVF/ICSI there is still failure rate. At the end of the day it is entirely God not any man's doing. It actually depends the family really. But really these matter are better kept from every other person.
Religion / Re: How My Friend Was Brutalised By Winners Chapel Officials In Abuja by seza: 11:04pm On Sep 10, 2013
Next IG: @Op, I am not going to exonorate the church from some unwanted happenings within her, but this your story lacks substance. Why did I said so?
(1) Every Winners Chapel has a designated parking lot either within the Church premises or outside the gate but, it is either fenced or well protected.
(2) Your friend made the mistake of parking near the church (outside) when he has been severally warned not to. That shows a sign of disobedience to the church leadership.
(3) Your friend lied by saying that the traffic officials will asked him not park at a particular point without showing him where to park.
(4) If your friend had been a true member of the Winners Chapel for Five years, he should by now knows where Church members, Church officials and Pastors do park their vehicles. Because each have their parking lot. Even the for the Church members, where the first service attendees will park is different from the second service.
(5) With the security situation everywhere, why must you park your car anyhow or somewhere near the church without letting the officials?
(6) If truly he has been a true member, he should know that even if the head of the unit is against him, he should have gone into the church and report him to any other Unit Head, Deacon/Deaconness, Elder(s), or any Pastor and his case would have been attended to immediately without bias. Because the leadership of the church won't take their action lightly if at all, it is true.
(7) For the number of years he has been in the Church he is still not a member of any unit group? That cast a doubt on his true membership in that Church. Because if he belongs to any unit, he would have reported the matter to his own unit head.
(cool The Bible said, if you had a grudge against your fellow brother (Christian), never you take the matter to the judge outside, rather, present it to the elders (pastors) in the church for an amicable solution, we shouldn't allowed unbelievers to settle our matters.
(9) How will you feel when you caned your child and he immediately went outside to call your neighbour when he hasn't reported it to his mother?
(10) Your friend said the head of the Police Anti Robbery Team called him aside and told him to take up the matter. Haba! When a Senior (woman) Police Officer is around and had shouted at him, he still had the audacity to call your friend aside for at least 3minutes advice? Hmmmm!
(11) Think with your mind not with the head. I know there is an onslaught of evil allegations against the Body of Christ the world over, but, the good news is, They Shall Not Prevail. The Church will Keep Marching on until the day of resurrection.
(12) Shalom! Jesus is Lord!!
Two wrongs do not make a right. Okay the fellow did wrong by parking in a wrong place. The traffic head did wrong by flattening the car tires. He also did wrong by lying and calling the police that there was an armed robber there (is that not calling outsiders to judge) and they even beat him (Where is the restraint). These are not the kind of people that the church needs. How can the world know that Jesus even exists if they cant see Jesus in us Christians. We Christians are Christ on earth and should behave accordingly. And it is not a must you must be a worker in church to get your salvation. The number of years the guy spent in the church does not determine if he should a worker or not.

Faith2013: Has anyone tried Fertilaid for men and women before. I have read a lot of good reviews on this product. Please, if you have tried it, share your result to help others. After spending $30,000 USA dollars on 3 failed IVF with ICSI cycles, we are done. We just want to try any effective natural vitamins and rest all to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I noticed in Europe mostly (Brno and Prague)they perform new procedure called PICSI with they claimed to be better for quality sperm selection.

IVF with ICSI is a gambling procedure for the doctors and embryologists cannot tell whether the egg or sperm selected are good quality with complete DNA.

Some studies show that one in every ten couple who underwent IVF get pregnant on first try after spending over 10,000 dollars. what a joke!!
@Faith2013 I have tried fertilaid for men. The results where good.

Blendy77: Inwangobio we thank God for her strength. You're in our prayers!

Seza welcome onboard! We sincerely pray ur stay here as a waiting father shall not be long. God who did mine and other expecting mothers and fathers in this forum will visit ur household soonest with bfps. Omni is a serious waste of man hours. I also had 2 ivf procedure with them. Men it wasn't funny as Prof was never around to attend to his patients. Infact the day we did collection for my 2nd ivf, I was told he was receiving chieftancy title in Benin so he seconded the collection to one other Dr. ET was another story as it was also done by that Sowolu so I wasn't even sure if anythg was transferred as the woman kept fumbling with the instruments used in opening the cervix and the catheter. That was the last I went there. Though Prof is a nice man o, correct father figure where gynae is concerned but not for ivf and iui anymore even though they started it in Naija.
Amen, I pray so too. Thanks Blendy77, Yes prof is never around, to see him is quite a big deal. I jammed him once at the airport and we scheduled an appointment only for me to come on that day and he wasn't back. He never seemed to remember me though I always had to reintroduce myself every single time which hilarious. I can imagine having 2 IVFs there. I thank God for you. And I tap into all the good news I have been reading. After the misinterpretation of results and IUI, we just decided to look for alternative. kai I nor know say if I mention you Dr. Emeka for give discount like that. lol

Hello Guys, I have been reading this thread for days now. And I have to say I have been inspired. I stumbled on another thread after being frustrated after doing IUI a few months ago. we had started a with OMNI and the experience wasn't anything to write home about. that one on one interaction was just 30%. We ended up seeing MOs, who would want to see us in groups of 2 and 3, and I objected (this should be a private matter), and on one occasion one of the MOs read an SFA result done in the previous year as the new one and gave antibiotics based on that result. It wasn't until I had a second thought to check that I realized the error, weeks after, talk about taking medicine for nothing. We complained and no proper apology was given. we did an IUI and an MO was going to do the implant, and we again objected. You can imagine my frustration when the results of the pregnancy test came back negative.
Fast forward to a Google search and I ended up here, and for months I had been scanning reading trying to make an informed decision. One name that always came up was Dr. Emeka. My thoughts was, for the name to come up that often then there must be something about the man. So Prayed about it, and I call him and he was courteous on the phone and engaging. He even sent an sms later asking if a received his email on information.
well we met him in person and I must say we were but blown away and the meeting educated us more than the past few years we had spent with other hospitals. The attention and care was fantastic. He finally asked how I got his details and I told him a thread on nairaland. like they say when you do good work it will speak for itself. The Journey continues. Funny thing we are okay from the test, I wonder at times why these things take long. Well God has a purpose and a plan and he has not called anyone barren.
@ inwangobio congrats you have another brother in the house.
@Blendy77 you might not know it but you were part of us making the informed decision. Congrats I followed your journey. Bless God.
