I have a girl friend, we dated like one year before i proceeded to write an entrance examination into a mission`s school though i told her that i am not interested in the relationship through facebook as a result of my intentions but i did not notify her my motives for doing that. So as things goes on i wrote the missionary examination but wasn`t successful, i chatted with her to know why she did not ask me directly my motive for ending the relationship, she kept saying that she doesn`t want to know initially that is why she did not went further to ask. I called her last week on phone to discuss the stuffs with her but she said that she will call me back but haven`t seen her calls presently. Dear aspirants, medicine and surgery is not for the faint hearted, are you capable of surmounting all the stress, voluminious textbooks, quizes, practicals et al. The man is a professor to be precise, basically he did not emphasize on borrowing any course either in 100level or 200level respectively. He only told my dad that i should change my course and at the end of 100level, i will cross to medicine and surgery. However when it comes to borrowing of courses from the medical counterpart, i keenly want to know if i will borrow any course in my 100level/200level physiology when i will eventually switch to medicine and surgery.
if yes, specifically in UNIZIK what are the courses sir to be borrowed sir?
*Chief, my admission is typically based on connection on both as the departmental merit cut off mark may drastically go higher this year; sir when school resumes how do i go about it ?

I am a medical student in a Federal University in Nigeria, but due to the protracted ASUU strike and incessant strike actions embarked upon by ASUU yearly, I decide to source for other means abroad. I have been offered admission to study M.D program (Doctor of Medicine) in a University in the Caribbean (Barbados to be precise) and new session is to commence this September, but I don't know whether to go for it or not. So I have bothering questions to ask.

My questions are:
1. Is a Barbados a good country to study Medicine?


2. What can you say about studying Medicine in the Caribbean and studying Medicine in Nigeria? Which one is more preferable and better? Which one will you advise someone to go for?

Your advice will be much appreciated.

It depends on the school like UNN money is everything there so far you can buy 1 big AC and 1 Gen for the faculty or if you have your 500k your GP Doesn’t matter

Admission is now regulated with JAMB CAPS, even if your father owns the school, if you don't meet the cutoff for your department and the school sends your name to Jamb caps, it will be rejected. The only thing your aunt can do is to influence the cutoff to accommodate your score, which is very unlikely depending on general performance.

Chief, pertaining to influencing the cut off marks to accommodate someones score or chances of getting admitted. Boss, how is it done and who is responsible in doing so if any.

i am actually on the same shoes as you are now bro but my institution of choice is UNIZIK, as a matter of fact; the truth is, it is absolutely possible with a very strong connection and doing the right thing as well.

It is okay man. To me personally, What i hate in this life is Pleasing someone including you and it seems to be very appaling irrespective of all odds. The bitter truth is medicine and surgery is very competitive, only the survival of the fittest will emerge victoriously. I don`t always like giving people hope but as a state university that score is still enough to suffice him a slot in the medical school, though i forgot to point out the specific policy of Ebsu merit admission procedures which must be known to him which you already itemize above. Relax fellow, you will still get it just rely on God that you will.

Considering your jamb score 263. You may still get in because Ebsu quota for medical student is 100. Ebsu does not conduct post utme rather they will aggregate both your jamb score and O level grades respectively. To be on a safer side, make sure your O level grades is extremely outstanding at least containing A1, B2 or B3 parallel. Anything less than that is inimical.
