Maybe the one u went 4 was normal workforce recruitment stuff but dis1 it was specified workforce academy as if we're going bk 2 university, so dts y ppl r confused. Pls I stand 2 b corrected! Was it workforce graduate academy u were invited for or normal test? We that were in porthacourt nko?? Wat can we do! Its really unfair 2 come all d way 4 nothing

Oh,mine wasn't for graduate academy. So maybe ure right. But don't turn down d opportunity

Like I typed in the first page, just prepare urself for an exam and go write it. Its for a compnay dat doesn't want to be known for nw. I seriously dunno who told u abt paying for training.... Dats crap. Like I said,my first job was tru a workforce process,my current job is also from d process. For non-lagosians,plz honour the invitation, dis could b ur lucky break, don't let pple discourage u with rumours

Pple,go for the test, most times, companies tell workforce not to identify them when inviting for tests. Be rest assured that its a very good company,I got my first job from such a process. Their exams r usually online: with sections in quantitative analysis(statistics n chats),verbal reasoning(comprehension stuff, sentence correction stuff too),spatial (shapes n sequence). Pray well, read well,b confident... B very very fast and remember that most times, calculators r not allowed. Good luck

fasttrack:

Dude sattap there! a few keep talking about unemployment. how many of you here are employed or have comfortable paying jobs? why dont you seek armed robbery as an alternative. after all arent these hawkers or LAWMA guys are human beings. armed robbery is a decision to quick "comfort" instead of going through the struggles of success.
May God bless u abundantly, see hw people rush into armed robbery,as if I wasn't jobless for months after NYSC,did I rob any1? Smh

Romance / Re: I Cheated On My Wife With Another Mans Wife What Do I Do? by SHABZ: 11:24am On Jan 25, 2012
@poster,its difficult to love sum1 and watch that person be with someone else, i know.but several things should be considered in this particular situation
1. you've fallen out of love with your wife after three years.something is definitely wrong.i dont want to believe that you were forced into the marriage, hence you really loved her before you got married. so what changed? considering the number of years you courted her and fell outta love with her after 3 years of marriage,do you think your recent affair will last after you consolidate it by re-marrying?
2. you might not care about the implications of this new affair but how would everyone around you feel when you burst the bubble? phychological effects are surely going to play a role in either strengthening the relationship or destroying it completely.you might be able to handle it,but would she?
3. telling the husband about the affair is a really a selfish thing to do. you have stolen her heart doesnt give you the right to break up her marriage.that is entirely up to her. please do not try that at all.
4. what about your wife and kid? will you still take care of them sufficiently enough after a divorce?
please, think things true and dont rush into any decision because of infactuation or love that might not be reciprocated, yours truely

if u restrict the entertainment shows on local tv stations, what about those with cable networks in their homes? its just like preventing a teenager from socializing with the opposite sex during secondary school days, when d teenager becomes an undergraduate,he/she becomes a keziah(sharer of goodies). Its entirely up to the parents to regulate the access their kids have to tv,not the government

Nairaland / General / Nigeria Will Not Abandon Farouk Abdulmutallab, Says Minister by SHABZ: 7:40am On Oct 13, 2011
UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – Nigeria will not abandon accused “underwear bomber” Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab even when he is in prison, the country’s foreign minister said Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Olubenga Ashiru told reporters that he believes Abdulmutallab “has gone through a fair trial” in Detroit.

The Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab pleaded guilty Wednesday to trying to blow up a US-bound airliner on December 25, 2009, saying he had sought to avenge the killing of Muslims. He had previously pleaded not guilty.

Ashiru said the Nigerian embassy in Washington had found a lawyer for Abdulmutallab and had monitored the proceedings.

“We stand by our nationals, and when even they are jailed we still will visit them in prison,” the minister said.

“We do not abandon them solely because they have been sentenced. We continue to offer all consular assistance to all people, including Abdulmuttalab whenever he is sentenced,” Ashiru said.

Abdulmutallab is expected to spend the rest of his life in prison. Many of the counts to which he pleaded guilty carry mandatory minimum sentences of 30 years without parole, which must be served consecutively.
