Russia on Saturday unveiled the world’s first floating nuclear power station at a ceremony in the port of the far northern city of Murmansk where it will be loaded with nuclear fuel before heading to eastern Siberia. Built in Saint Petersburg, the Akademik Lomonosov arrived in Murmansk on Thursday where it was moored in the port and presented to the media on Saturday. Constructed by the state nuclear power firm Rosatom, the 144 by 30 metre (472 by 98 foot) ship holds two reactors with two 35 megawatt nuclear reactors that are similar to those used to power icebreaker ships. The 21,000-tonne barge will be towed in the summer of 2019 to the port of Pevek in the autonomous Chukotka region in Russia’s extreme northeast, 350 kilometres (217 miles) north of the Arctic Circle. The barge can produce enough electricity to power a town of 200,000 residents, far more than the 5,000 live in Pevek, Russia’s northernmost town. It will be primarily used to power oil rigs as Russia pushes further north into the Arctic to drill for oil and gas and needs electricity in far-flung locations. Vitaly Trutnev, who is in charge of the construction and operation of floating nuclear power stations at Rosatom, said such units would “supply electricity and heat to the most remote regions, supporting also growth and sustainable development.” He said the use of such floating reactors can save 50,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year. The barge had initially been scheduled to be fuelled in Saint Petersburg, but that work was moved to Murmansk instead due to concern in countries along the Baltic Sea. http://www.joeoseotoi..com.ng/2018/05/russia-unveils-worlds-first-floating.html?m=1 Cc: lalasticlacla; Seun Mods please move to Front Page...

6 days ago, by Geofrey Omondi Photo of a lady using beer on her hair (photo/pulselive.co.ke) Beer can be very beneficial. A drink that has proven to make people happy, make food tastier and make ugly people finer. Beer also has many different uses apart from consumption. Here are the other beneficial uses of beer. 1. Bubble bath You can pour beer into a tub and soak in it. Beer makes one's skin tone become softer 2. Polish metal You can use beer to polish metal surfaces. Pour the beer, leave it on for a few minutes then wipe. This can help in juakali industries to polish metal. 3. Shampoo hair Boil some beer, until there's no alcohol left, let the remainder cool then mix it with shampoo. This helps your hair gain more shine and luster, it also makes hair stronger and also prevents breaking. 4. Clear rust Pour beer on rusted surfaces and wait a while. The carbonation can help clear the rust. This helps prevent leakages that might be as a result of rust. 5. Pass a kidney stone Beer can help flush out the kidney and bladder. If you are suffering from a kidney infection or kidney stones, it can help. A higher percentage of those who take beer rarely suffer from kidney stones. http://www.joeoseotoi..com.ng/2018/05/surprising-benefits-of-beer-you-didnt.html?m=1 cc: lalasticlacla; Sissy3 Cc: lalasticlacla; dominique Cc: lalasticlacla; seun

People are yet to see from pastors. More are coming... |
Why can't they learn from their foreign counterpart on how to handle street mayhem or crisis? All they do is hold guns loaded with rounds to shoot at civilians who are armless. These bullets are meant for wars and other terror attacks or probably gang shootouts or robbery now shooting at polling units? If it were a pen I am using to type, I would have said it bleeds... No good news about our securities personnel these days and its a huge threat to our societies. If a Nigeria officer can't protect his fellow Nigerian, who will apart from God? An American officer will die for the sake of an American beggar because he because believes that beggar has potential. Dear securities, where have we gone wrong? May the soul of the young girl RIP. #sad |

An Ebola outbreak has been declared in the north-west of the Democratic Republic of Congo. There are two confirmed cases of the virus and 17 deaths, the health ministry said on Tuesday. The incident in the town of Bikoro comes more than a year after an outbreak in the country killed four people. In 2014. more than 11,000 people were killed in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia. The outbreak declaration was made after laboratory results confirmed two cases of Ebola out of a sample of five suspected patients, the World Health Organization (WHO) said. "Our top priority is to get to Bikoro to work alongside the government," the WHO's Peter Salama said in a statement. "Working with partners and responding early and in a co-ordinated way will be vital to containing this deadly disease." The international health organisation says it has released $1m (£738,000) from an emergency fund and has deployed more than 50 experts to work with officials in the country. This is the ninth time an Ebola outbreak has been recorded in the DR Congo. The virus was first discovered there in 1976 (when the country was known as Zaire) and is named after the Ebola river. Ebola is thought to be spread over long distances by fruit bats and is often transmitted to humans via contaminated bushmeat. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-44045842 cc: lalasticlacla; Sissy3 cc: lalasticlacla; Dominique cc: lalasticlacla; Seun |
tribalmall:Your nickname depicts what you are. At this period , if you are still partisan like PDP or APC, I pity you. Who is meant to construct the rail if govt don't do it? You spoke like one of them and probably brain damage or not enlightened |
I just refused to believe most of the pictures to be true. |
Later he will say Holy Spirit ministered to him. Somebody just dey go put himself for trouble. Now the Holy Spirit ended up exposing him. Why will someone wake up and decide to just say rubbish? I respect what other people believe in even if its Babalawo, but don't disturb anyone. People just end up in the hands of this pastors just because of quick miracles and lack of knowledge. Christians in here should go and study the words of Jesus properly. |
am glad he knows his first was. |
