Only if your current visa status expires while waiting for a decision.

You can withdraw your application.
Thanks

Hi all! I applied for Healthcare tier 2 visa and the application is yet to be out. My student visa is valid till next year before applying for the Tier 2 visa. I want to withdraw my application. Will I loose my student visa if I withdraw my application because I saw on UKVI website that I will loose my status if application is withdrawn?

I think you need to have less than 6months to be able to renew it but then again Nigeria and rules is not 5 and 6.
I will find out. Thanks

Yes, you can and indeed you should.
I assume you are moving to the UK. If you are, remember that the Nigerian high commission here is seriously backlogged with passport applications, and has a very Nigerian record of efficiency even in non-Covid times, so you'd best get yourself a 10-year passport in Nigeria before you leave to save yourself the added stressor.
Yea, UK. Thank u very much

Can you renew what? The visa or the passport?

Visa? You’re free to. It’s your money.

Passport? My dear, valid passport is hard to find these days, just renew and save yourself the headache. Still your choice anyway.
I mean my passport. That means I can travel with the old and new passport.

No, you basically have to be traveling with two passports until the visa expires
My passport has 6 months validity and I have a valid visa on it. Can I renew it b4 leaving Nigeria? I have not travelled to the UK with d visa but will like to renew it b4 travelling. Is it possible?

A letter stating the bolded will be irrelevant. As long as you are doing a FT study and your CAS stating start and end dates, you will still need to FULLY meet up with the Student Visa / Dependant requirements.

Maybe you apply first and partner applies later.
If dependant applies later, does d main applicant show his POF if the dependant is using the main applicant's bank statement and still in Nigeria?

Contact either the Portuguese or the Brazilian embassies and ask if they've got a translator they can recommend to you.
If not, you have to go online and search for someone based outside the country who will charge you significantly higher, in the range of 40 - 50 euro per page.
ok noted. Thanks.

If u live in Abuja, they have these certified translators close to the Min of Foreign Affairs or u call up the embassies and ask, alternatively you can use any translator in your city as long as you can confirm they are certified, that’s all. I have submitted translated documents to embassies at different times, I dnt think I went through too much hassle.
Thanks. I appreciate.

I’m not sure if they have one, you can get that done outside the embassy.

I suggest you renew the passport else very soon your kid will be travelling with two passports.
Ok. Thanks.

Any document that you are submitting to the UKVI that’s not in English will have to be translated by a recognised translator and notarised.

Pls I want to apply for my dependants. If I'm using the same bank statement I used for my visa application , is it required of me to show my POF alongside my dependants or just that of my dependants? I'm still in Nigeria. Cc Justwise, LagosismyHome. Thanks.

TBH, if I was the ECO I would have made same decision, her application had too many complications. I only feel bad for her and telling her the hard truth rn would be unfair.

1. She didn’t declare one of her refusals, even the day she got the Non-straightforward mail it took her sometime to open up to me she has been denied by US and Canada. She said Canada didn’t deny her but she didn’t get any decisions from there since 2019 she applied...hmm
That’s why she didn’t declare it.

2. She did a change of name, different names on her passport and application, thou she told me she had an affidavit to back it up.

Two nights to her Application, I called her to boost her up and ginger her....she told me she was “chilling with friends” smh

She has been crying over the phone....I’ll have to advise her to reapply like you said, because her agent is about to drill out all her money. Her agent guy sent a Lawyers number she should call, consultation fee alone na 50k.
Is the lady going for MBA?

Sweetheart, most of my colleagues are going crazy working with their kids around them. All the love they have just went out the window because the kids keep disturbing them during meetings. Please don’t let that your love for them turn sour. Wait till your holiday to bring them here.

They’ll always have their visa and you’ll have yours as well.

This is not going to be easy even without Covid restrictions and your studies will be affected because you can’t concentrate on online lectures and at the same time give the kids full attention.

Like I said before... in my opinion this is not the right time to travel abroad for studies because you will not get value for your money.

This is a premium long distance learning.
Noted. Thanks.

poster is a mum, one can also sense she is genuinely seeking help.. she even stated in her post that ‘she is a bit confused’ (let’s not be harsh with our replies. Shalom!)
Again. .. maybe it’s an attachment thing and she just wants to see her children for sometime since they won’t be staying with her in the Uk during the time of her study, perhaps she also needs family support at such a time.. it could be tough...

@ shallypop, you can bring your kids along with you if you need their support or need them to have a little time with mummy.

However do keep in mind the effect this will have on you and your studies..and settling in also.. and then find out your options with airlines and they going back as unaccompanied minors.
U won’t have to go back with them if you choose this option.
Different airlines have their different policies with age restrictions and all that but this service is top notch and stressless for them. Google unaccompanied minors for each airline you might want to use for them and check the policy.

When they land in Nigeria, they will also only be handed over by the airline to whosoever you have designated as their pick up person. Only this person. Goodluck
Ok. Thank u very much.
