If erstwhile President Jonathan thinks Buhari and the leadership of APC will be magnanimous in victory and allow him to enjoy his well deserved rest after meritoriously serving the nation, he must be making an unpardonable and grave mistake. The ongoing selective and vindictive phantom arms purchase probe has really proven that Buhari and APC are not in power to serve the interest of Nigerians but solely for vendetta, name-calling and blame games

The nation is aware of how APC connived with INEC (through preplanned and lopsided distribution of PVCs that glaringly gave the north electoral advantage over other regions) to rig the election in its favour but Jonathan against all odds decided to relinquish power despite alarming reasons not to do so.

Characteristic of APC, instead of savouring its victory and concentrate on governance, it chose to perpetually humiliate Jonathan and his party. For those who care to know, there's none of the "sins" for which Jonathan and PDP are been persecuted that APC as a party has not committed both in the past and the present.

Despite the level of mismanagement under the Republican adminstration of Bush which threw United States into recession, despite wasting both human and financial resources on a needless war in Iraq, the government of Obama chose to concentrate on governance instead of using the shortcomings of its predecessor to propagate its own image. Typical of the Blackman mentality, Buhari is unearthing Jonathan "sins" to shod up his badly smeared public image.

It's on this note that many well meaning Nigerians are asking him (Jonathan) to fight back instead of always being on the defensive. He should use everything at his disposal, legal or otherwise to save his political carrier but if he doesn't, Buhari and APC are heck bent in destroying him in other to play down their ineptitude and inability to govern Nigeria.

. Even if Jonathan negotiated,he was advised to. He never claimed to know it all. In contrast, Buhari critiscized him for incompetence declaring that as a General, he will lead the battle from the front, but disappointingly, he is also talking about negotiation which made him and his co-travellers dub GEJ incompetent. The question is, who is now incompetent? A civillian or a so-called General. The truth will always prevail. GEJ is a hero for wiping Boko haram off within 6months and ensuring that election held in the 3 North Eastern States including IDP camps. Today, we are hearing of Boko haram attacking IDP camps, what a shame.

Actually, the government - as well as most other people - are already focused on governance as a whole. Some people are simply exclusively obsessed with this issue of corruption, which is being taken care of by only a small arm of the government. The issue is also fuelled by the media, partly because such stories always sell.

The other, numerous ministers, ministries, and parastatals of the executive arm of the government are working on their own various agenda. Hopefully, those ones will also bear positive fruits, and generate - as desert - news that sell too!

I admire the president's honesty...He didn't try to sugar coat anything.

But the down side is that, he sounded clueless about many issues. He would need to ask the CBN Governor, He may have missed the programme which exposed his Ministers' involvement in corruption, etc.

The chat also showed that with enough pressure, Buhari can bend (which is evidence that he doesn't have a clear objective) as it relates to his agreement to ban Hijab when pressed by the journalists.

Buhari is a good man, but the Dictator is still strong within him as he doesn't respect the Judiciary. He even made the police look inferior by saying "How can the Police investigate the military when it should be the other way around".

We are in for rough times ahead.

The progressives came together in the spirit of vengeance. The immediate past government also saw these coming, hence the tough fight for retainment of powers. However as it was, president buhari won and trust me, a lot of holes were to be dugged. No government is perfect, if another political party wins presidential come 2019, Buhari's administration may also be dugged for curroption and probed just like it is at present.

We are already seeing what is happening in Osun and some other APC states and it would be stupidity to jump into the same party. My simple advice to some strangers in Rivers state especially Port Harcourt is simple - stay indoors as any form of intimidation by khaki men would be met with greater violence that would make Buhari to react negatively setting up chain of events that will forever change this country.
Whatever they wish for in Rivers State the APC will get it double.
