mightyokwy:Reading ur first few words and am confronted with a fellow that comes up short on conprehension. Sorry, I never knew i was unto one of those fellas around here who can't engage in a civil conversation without peddling slurs! Wow...too bad..I overestimated ur I.Q! Am done with you! |
godoluwa:It was NOT FOREIGN RESERVE Mr, but the EXCESS CRUDE ACCOUNT which was a JOINT ACCOUNT between the fed and state govt....why was oshiomole confidently callin Iweala out. So please answer the simple question since i have clarified this grey areas for you. Concerning what u hv conveniently termed Buharinomics which is a global problem having a painful local dimension. The same question that applies to the initial source of discourse applies here. "What precipitated this economic crunch that we are experiencing now? Nigerians can shout themselves hoarse when consequences start to rear their ugly head but dnt want the cause to be mentioned! We are only reaping the harvest of our past actions or inactions i.e the actions or inactions of govt! A govt that depleted the foreign reserve in a time of oil sale surplus without anything tangible to show for it... A govt where revelations of mass unconscionable looting are revealed by the second... A govt that was sharing dollars like pure water... Atleast Iweala was truthful enough to warn us about what we are a facing now as far back as NOVEMBER 2014 but what dd that same govt do about it? Just imagine if the BUFFERS were put in place by the previous govt. Now we expect magic to be done..Face it or leave it....In the SHORT TERM, anything outside this "BUHARINOMICS" will spell doom for us. Fiscal policies take time to mature You dnt want to imagine our economy with a currency devalued too soon. |
godoluwa:Rily? Two wrongs? Like Alibaba said issues like this hit the raw nerve in us when it is personalised. Simple question: For peace to reign, what will you do if you find your wife making unexplainable withdrawals from your joint account? Please give an honest answer! |
mightyokwy:Its only for some very few that this ur kind of flawed logic "sells"....d logic of "I am not the only one that stole o". You immediately become culpable when u peddle such gibberish and u are left to provide proof of the corruption of ur co-travellers There was no where in our constitution where governors are compelled to keep their statutory share with the federal but they agreed in the first instance. What precipitated this sharing? This is the basic question that should be asked. What do u expect the govs to do when they discover that the fed govt was unilaterally makin withdrawals from a joint account. The depletion of our FOREIGN RESERVE talk less of the ECA by the FEDERAL GOVT in a time of oil boom should suffice in this matter. https://www.nairaland.com/1985177/external-reserve-debt-under-obasanjo Did the state governors also force the govt to drain the reserve? Ok what was done with the money from the reserves in a time of huge oil sales? Dnt forget that he borrowed to pay salaries. If this makes sense to you, then I cant help u. Folks like u hate to hear GEJs name been mentioned at every turn...I guess u have forgotten that the buck stops at his table! If the Amaechi name that folks like the OP keep shouting from leaking roofs cant expose him now, I dnt kno what Wike is waiting for to take Amaechi to court with the evidence he says he has. Or hasnt Amaechi asked to be taken to court instead of engagin in "media trial"-what folks like u have coined in cases u r sympathetic to. Before shouting that wasn't a petition submitted to the EFCC, consider this, wont it be worth the while of Wike and the opposition to conclusively prove their case in court jst like wike dd at the supreme court. The EFCC is not the only route! Do u kno what that does? It kills Amaechi politically and exposes the much touted fight against corruption by this govt as duplicitous and selective. The case of Ibori comes to mind-remembr he was giving a clean bill of health by our judiciary but was convicted for the same offence outside our shores. If the EFCC say he is clean, let Wike go to the courts and prove his allegations. PMB has 4 years to prove himself or he gets the GEJ treatment- and yes, his name will be peddled jst d way Jonathan's is if he fails....for now sorry, gejs govt remains synonymous with flagrant heist. |
alcmene:Son Please answer this question....How come Bokoharam ddnt gloat/celebrate over the death of 105 soldiers with pix and video evidence all this while? You become suspect if you cant give a satisfactory answer to this simple question! |
Iroh88:Anything outside what you have posited wont make sense! |
espionagesavvy:Lol...hahahhaaha....guy u crazy...nigerians and comedy! |
Tallesty1:As much as I see reason in the fact u stated, I also believe that within this union the hatred is mutual but other tribes seemed to have moved on and consolidated their hold except the igbos! Still a very salient question comes to mind. How has this hatred helped the igbos within this entity called Nigeria? Personally, I believe the first freedom the igbos need is the "freedom from that hatred" before agitating for independence because other tribes when it comes to issues of interest, they put interest first even if it means joining forces with other tribes who they do not share the same interests initially! |
mekaboy:Did u actually say there was no need for an enabling law to back the National Conference and its recommendation? Rily? That's an eggregious blunder and u jst nonsense of all your argument! Why do u think all other "National Conferences" before this were not implemented? The same devil of the FORCE OF LAW! The same that applies with the use of our card readers in our elections With the way our National Assembly is presently constituted, believe it or not, even if GEJ was president, it wont sail through. You dnt believe me? The PIB shd suffice...heed the wise words of obailala and doctokwus! |
mekaboy:I see u harping on and on about this National Conference Recommendation as if this was the only "National Conference" we have had and even attempting to make it about ur tribe as if other tribes ddnt make submissions. Why were others not passed? The same devil that bedeviled those other ones is the same that is goin to choke this one to death! Yes, it has no force of law and an illegality cant be used to enforce legality! The fact that a conference wad convened with executive fiat was over-reaching on the part of the executive! Believe it or not, even if GEj was there, that conference wdnt be implemented with the way the way our National Asembly is presently constituted! |
kodded:keep investors away? Sack Nigerians? Lol...dnt make me laf! Hardworking and honest Nigerians wl get and retain jobs anywhere because they are smart enof to recognise our ingenuity. How come the investors who have BETTER intel about us are still trooping in? Mister there is nothing that PMB said that this foreigners dnt kno...stop decieving urself.... If there wasnt a pronblem how come the late Dora Akunyili wanted to rebrand Nigeria. Oh because PMB said in the open what we say about ourselves in hushed tones....u r now forming hashtag abi? Obama spoke the hard truth to the black community about the criminality among them and they called him a sell out...but it ddnt change the fact that statistics were out there! Mister if only world leaders will learn to say the truth we wont have the global conflicts we see around the world. Why dd Russia come into Syrian conflict? The first place to finding solutions to our issues is to say them the way they are without garnishing it! |
kodded:keep investors away? Sack Nigerians? Lol...dnt make me laf! Hardworking and honest Nigerians wl get and retain jobs anywhere because they are smart enof to recognise our ingenuity. How come the investors who have BETTER intel about us are still trooping in? Mister there is nothing that PMB said that this foreigners dnt kno...stop decieving urself.... Obama spoke the hard truth to the black community about the criminality among them and they called him a sell out...but it ddnt change the fact that statistics were out there! The same applies to us! |
dani3:Folks like u never learn...the case of late Audu shd teach folks like u a lesson that power belongs to God and none else! He can take it from whomever and give to whomever he wishes! #Learn! |
kodded:And since the Syrian president ddnt say that "most terrorists are syrians" as you have assumed, does that negate the fact that "you know that most syrians are terrorist", right? How dd u reach that conclusion if I may ask? World media, rigtht? The same world media sees most of us as criminals and the sooner we face the truth the better for us. You can tattoo that hashtag on ur forehead if u like but go to foreign embassies and you wl understand what PMB is saying or even go abroad! Political correctness wont get us anywhere mister! #The truth is bitter Nigerians abroad need to change that narrative ..... I stand with PMB cos he shoots without blinking! |
TheArchangel:As much as i dnt support racial stereotyping but the unfortunate fact that stares in the face is that some of ur folks wd have been up in arms right now if Saraki/Dasuki was of ur stock. Like I said this is unfortunate! We are stared with this danger of a single narrative where a vocal few who support criminality have overshadowed the voices of the many who are objective enough to see issues beyond supposed "persecution" but have chosen to be quiet! That's d narrative ur stock needs to counter! |
@virginfinder u jst got whipped for a "yoruba" boy who thinks he can whip up sentiments for a fellow who has case to answer. The yorubas jst proved to u even with such a "small" platform like nairaland that they dnt support nonsense. Take ur BS somwia...ur shenanigan is DOA! |
Wow..congrats Berem...I celebrate u and the new baby! With those crispy clear eyes....ur pikin dey c road....we cant wait to have him onboard to do worse damage than u do around here! |
OLADD:Oga instead of shouting urself hoarse in here....tell GEJ to take Tinubu to court and lets watch how it ends. Simple! |
Wisdomkosi:Mr. Neutral, ppl like u never cease to amuse us wt ds stale gibberish over and again! An APC member, a close pal of PMB was arested. wasnt he, and he cooperated without gra gra. The PDP folks prefer strong hand and that they will get. If only ppl from the south were indicted, i trust ur fellow neutral cotravellers to cry fowl. Since its not, u r now seeing it along party lines. The hardship in the land caused by a handful is felt by the N.E.W.S, APC/PDP etc. So mr man chill and let the books be opened. You might be shocked who will be indicted when other books are opened! |
Aspireahead:Mr, maybe u shd go single out those who said she started the rumour (and not 'rumour') because I didnt! What I remember making a passing comment on her insistence that it was a fact that 105 of our soldiers were missing or dead was that she said she got her own insider confirmation (go look for her words) and she kept gloating over it! My grouse with her was not that Premium Times peddled a rumour but that she got her own insider confirmation of the story which I kno was a blatant lie. I know because I have family, friends and soldier friends who are in maiduguri right now. Hope u get my position! Amdone with this! |
tellwisdom: I must report u to yahaya bello |
oluamid:Couldnt have said it any better! |
Aspireahead:Go back and read her words if she hasnt deleted it. If she was ONLY quoting Premiumtimes I wont say a thing but she kept on telling us she got the CONFIRMED info from her soldier friend with those gruesome pics to boot and wouldnt let it rest even when she was told otherwise. She said she was seeking justice for the families of the soldiers ![]() Now she and you folks pray we dont talk about it! Oga am just harping on this so she knows we dont forget! If mizmycoli has turned a new leaf...I wish her well in her new found adventure! |
asEdeyHOT:Seriously, reading Mizmycoli gloat over the "missing/dead" 105 soldiers that even Boko Haram said nothing about even till this very moment clearly exposed her underbelly and wittingly or unwittingly she became a bokoharam sympathizer. Now she wants us to believe the contrary! She wont respond to this and it eats at her that we keep asking her this question anytime she pops her beautiful face around here. Anyway, her minions are doing her dirty job in the hope that we would forget and move on. Coli ur words are as transparent as a restaurant curtain! |
GreatAgb:
Son,Its obvious you dnt know what "Buffer" means? A simple google search would have said u ds embarrasment of asking which buffer this govt has put in place! In ds case, a buffer wd b a measure put in place BEFORE an occurrence. Which buffer do u expect the govt to put in place when we are in the heat of the downward trend in oil prices? As at Nov. 2014 till when gej crew was chased out no buffer was put in place, now in 2016 u are askin what this govt is doing abt it. Askin for buffers now is akin to askin us to fill up sandbags AFTER the impact of a tsunami! At a time like this a ROBUST FOREIGN RESERVE wd have been a good buffer as it wl reduce pressure on our currency and we wont b witnessin ds naira free fall! This was depleted at a time of Oil surplus by the same folks that were shoutin buffer! At a time like this a healthy EXCESS CRUDE ACCOUNT cd have been a buffer as this govt cd have tapped into it to ease pressure on its fiscal obligations. Ur hero and his band of thieves did same as above! At a time like this even a DIVERSIFIED ECONOMY even at its infancy wd have gone a long way in cushioning the effect of this economic hardship because it wl have brought FOREIGN EXCHANGE no matter how minimal. We had the funds then to kickstart a diversified economy. At a time like this a 40 percent (yes, jst 40 percennt) corruption-free MDAs of govt wd have enabled us to ride through this storm without much of the hue and cries now. Going by recent revelations of how some people in last administration turned Nigeria to a free chop restaurant, contributing to an already festering cancer, it becomes obvious why they cant have simple initiatives to put buffers in place. I dnt see u asking about plugging leakages cos its no longer propaganda as ur co-travellers wl sy! Dnt ask for "buffers" now, cos this govt in the SHORT TERM can only hand out "life jackets" (bail outs, low interest loans etc) until we ride past the eye of the storm! |
Jengem:He is sounding like that COZA pastor that said they will give a "ROBUST" response in the appropriate and uptil this morning we havnt heard anythin of that sort.. Back to the matter He shd better talk o before all his minions form beard gang for prison! |
Hmmm bare bone facts...This is getting interesting...falana aint letting go-vice grip! |

Chief?..lol If that profile pic is you...then my respect for u jst grew in leaps and bounds.... |
Gentlesniper:If u a "sniper" is scared of us touching this case...den wetin I go tokk..anyway wisdom is profitable to direct...na my prayer for PMB b dat! I greet u. |
Juxtified:Hmmm...if d emergence of PMB has taught u anytin...it shd teach u never to say never u kno...anything is possible! You wl shocked when it does happen. |
wirinet:I beg to disagree with you that we can as it stands NOW there is any magic wand that iran utilised that we can also employ considering the uniqueness of their situation compared to ours. The sanctions that was imposed on iran ddnt take them by surprise...cant type much right now...read this http://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com/2013/01/19/western-economic-sanctions-and-irans-survival-strategy/ because it captures what I want to explain to you. |
Chubhie:You are always "daring"..smh When buhari met with iranian officials in one of his official travels, ur cotravellers said "Ah terrorists have gathered" Now that he has disapointed you by showing he can hold his own...u are now littering this platform with stale gibberish! Kwantinue! |
