I think that one of the ways to solve this problem of bad economy is for more Nigerians to be able to earn in hard currencies. What I recommend to help us start doing that immediately is that people should try to sell any service they can offer online in a global market.
I believe that if more of us do this, it is going to help strengthen the Naira and reduce the rate at which Nigerian youths do illegal things online to survive. It will even reduce insecurity levels in Nigeria because if more people are getting more money then, less people would be ready to do violent acts. So, it's going to be a win-win for all of us directly or indirectly.
So, please, let's share. How do you get paid when you work for overseas clients as a freelancer based in Nigeria in 2023 going to 2024?
You know, there was a time everyone seeking online earning opportunities in Nigeria was struggling to get a Paypal because without a PayPal you couldn't get paid in most online opportunities. Then, Payoneer came and many of us heaved a sigh of relief. I still use Payoneer.
But, I'm wondering is there anything better than Payoneer now? Please share the one you use. Thanks in advance.
Nlfpmod please, help to amplify this hopefully helpful thread.
I have enjoyed using Zenith Bank for years to the extent that I don't think of opening any account in any other bank. But in recent months, their services have become so shabby. I don't like having more than one bank account because it makes my life difficult.
So, I need a bank that works well so that I can close my Zenith Bank account and switch. Please, kindly help with experiences of your own. Thanks.
ObaKlaz: Is that totally impossible! Sir, I'm just doing some few forensics here. Who recorded the footage? Whoever did must have been so invisible to be in such proximity as those ACTORS that they couldn't see him. The footage gave them away. Too stable to be real stuff. Please don't even bring up CCTV. I've seen and analysed plenty CCTV footage enough to know that this isn't one of such!
Ok, let's listen to more voices... Like this...
Isobug: I watched this on Facebook a month ago.....I was even thinking it was just a skit but the comments under the post said otherwise. This is so wrong. Thieves on Uniforms
I still have reasons to doubt that this is a skit. Many times, we have opportunity to change a bad situation but we fail to as a result of negligence.
ObaKlaz: There's nothing CCTV about that footage, sir. One of the cameras was even following right behind them at some point (like when that ACTOR scaled the fence to break the lock, and when another ACTOR hid behind that black car. )
Also, there's nothing official about those gears they have on, just that they have EFCC inscribed on them - Na so EFCC get level?! Anyone can come up with gears like that.
So someone can use EFCC name in a movie that depicts EFCC in a bad light?
They even switched off the generator after the guy suffered to get fuel because there was no electricity.
According to the video description,
In this video, some EFCC operatives and a police officer are seen breaking into the private residence of a Nigerian citizen. They scaled the perimeter fence, broke the gate and switched off the generator.
When the Nigerian citizen came out to see what went wrong with the generator, the invaders held him like a common criminal, slapped him, kicked him all over, and smashed his laptop on his head. Then, they forced him to transfer the sum of One Million Naira (₦1,000,000) into a bank account.
Some soldiers came in and wanted to know what happened but the EFCC officials said the man broke his own laptop to hide his crime. They did all these without presenting any search or arrest warrant.
In a fuller version of the video, we see that this video was recorded by a lady (probably the man's wife or girlfriend) from a top floor.
Is this what many Nigerians are going through unreported? If no one recorded the scene, this would have gone by unnoticed.
Nigeria has all sorts of economic problems. The citizens are going through hell. They can't find well-paid jobs at home. But when they try to work remotely according to the culture of the time, EFCC would brand them as internet fraudsters without due processes.
Until proved otherwise, the above scenario is what is depicted in this video. The question is: How can such an economy thrive where:
1. Citizens can't find good jobs at home and are not allowed to find jobs beyond the shores? 2. Innocent citizens are blatantly punished while criminals go scot-free and even ascend to top positions in the polity?
We posit that, if this is what EFCC is doing, then, they have outlived their usefulness. Therefore, we can as well #endEFCC too.
But, it's left for the true masters (ie. the masses) to decide. So, what do YOU have to say about this?
The juju that Tinubu uses on Nigerians is very strong. I don't mean to joke about this. Prayer warriors need to do something about this.
I am ashamed of the level of ignorance of the political class. See this one oh!
“ The PDP will not allow itself to be dragged into that trap, but he failed to consult the party. If he implements it, he is in trouble, if he doesn't, he is in trouble. Implementation of the agreement is like jumping into awaiting problems. And if he fails to implement it, he is going to enter the Federal government’s trouble. So, either way, it is trouble for him.”
The bolded is a big lie. Going against the law is the only path to trouble here.
This is the truth:
“ The question of the seats of the defected lawmakers being vacant is a clear constitutional issue, not at the wishes and discretion of President Tinubu or any other person. It is a clear constitutional matter.
“ Also, the PDP constitutionally owns the votes, so I don’t see how Governor Fubara will tell the PDP that because he met with the President in Aso Rock, the PDP should not take charge of its votes. As we speak the PDP is in court, the votes belong to the PDP, not to Fubara or the Villa.
“The one within the governor’s purview is to pay salaries and allowances of the lawmakers to the date their seats become vacant. I am sure the governor knows his limit.”
Jewessgratitud3: Hey.. don't bring any religious blackmail into this. I wasn't referring to the spiritual significance or implications here. Just addressing the decoration ideas. Less is more.
Haha! And it's ridiculous talking about CHRISTmas but excluding the spiritual significance and worrying about religious blackmail.
vanbonattel: You're very correct, my worry is that there are regions in this country where any attempt to resist godfathers is seen as rebellion. They support for godfathers to run their states, making a rubbish of their sitting elected governors and making the people of the state poor.
Poverty, ignorance, and lack of principle is the cause. They have slave spirits in them.
God fathers should go and learn what democracy is. Democracy is a situation where elected representatives owe loyalty only to the people and to no one else. Our ignorance is making us not to know this, without which democracy would be a big lie.
If you allow your entitlement mindset to make you think that a governor should submit to you in every way you want, then you are indirectly telling us that you rigged the election, that the people did not vote your claimed godson, that you (not the people) are the one who put the Governor there.
But our people have become so oppressed that they are now victims of Stockholm Syndrome. They now think they are slaves, when they are the masters.
Assuming the permission of Falseprophet1, I see Wike's oppression turning Fubara into one of the most popular and most loved governors in this dispensation.
This I have seen.
Accordingly, I reaffirm my acceptance of the Presidential Peace Proclamation and my commitment to implementing both the spirit and letters of the declaration in such a way and manner that will restore political stability to our dear State without compromising the collective interest of our people and our cherished and shared democratic values.
But please, Riverians should still rise against the implementation of the so called Presidential Peace Proclamation. Let me tell you today that, as far as Tinubu is concerned, the bolded lines in my quote is IMPOSSIBLE as long as the 'peace' proclamation stands.
People shouldn't be succumbing to oppressors just for 'peace' to reign. Such peace is only of the graveyard. It is the kind of peace that will make your children not to have any iota of peace in their lives since they'd live under the oppression you submitted to. That's how Goodluck Jonathan submitted in 2015 so that there'd be no bloodshed, but there have been endless flow of Nigerian blood across 6 geopolitical zones since then.
Tinubu is using the template he used in Lagos to cage the entire country. I read the so called peace proclamation and it has all the indices to cage the Rivers Governor, people, and resources. The Rivers oil money is the target. APC and Tinubu want total control.
I can say this on and on and on and on but I believe that a word is enough for a wise. Thanks. Now, let the grunts of the witches start.
I guess your main problem here is that you're not used to public transportation in Nigeria because you have your personal car. So my advice is that you should just try to get used to it. After all, there are many tall people that commute across Nigeria.
To be honest, Eme is the most stupid Central Bank governor in the history of Nigeria. The only one that went to contest to become President when the agency he governs is the custodian of election materials. Serves him right. If you did not dabble in politics, who would have been accusing him of all these nonsense?
A preliminary review of the cases showed that Keystone was “acquired for free,” according to the report. “Some persons were used as proxies with the connivance and assistance of Godwin Emefiele and the CBN to acquire” the two banks.
Emefiele has denied wrongdoing. His lawyers declined to comment on the investigation’s findings and a government spokesman did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment.
Hope someone won't Diezani deny this report. How could he actually acquire the bank for FREE and still have the gut to deny it? Or, is someone framing him up?
