Oracleee: The ijapa was made in hell. Let's blame it on mechanical know-how of the generation of mechanics we have back then. Without machine or academic knowledge, they try to solve issues. The starlet major problem was seat hooking when we wan enter back. We dey always fight for front seat forgetting you need to always alight anytime a new passenger wants to come onboard or alight. Apart, the thing was so compart that I was always scared articulated vehicles might not see us or easily run us over. I guess I was greedy though. Lol .... i dont like 2 doors either; as cute as the toyota solara is, the 2 doors turns me off. |

Oracleee: I can imagine the kind of Everlasting scar the car gave you. Lol. My mum starlet made me hate two door cars that I shake my head in pity when I even see the latest ones this days Bàbá... Shebi you said the starlet still gave your mum piece of mind even though it is fojo pa olóore. This useless beetle fit collapse for anywhere, for church o, for road while papa dey carry us go school, for in front of my crush's house If belt no cut today, carburetor go block tomorrow, if kick burn today, battery go wan catch fire tomorrow That's why till today, I no trust German cars, I trust benz only slightly, na one eye I dey take look am, I also notice some drivers now use VW Vento very much, car seems reliable though. But I no trust golf as well, I saw a lot of golf 1 and 2 that laid dead in mecho's workshop in those days. Some never received life again But I observe people still dey use golf 3 wella both hatch back and wagon with also jetta/vento, I love the looks, stand and stability, but I like my peace of mind. Na side eye I dey take look dem. We never had peace with cars then until we got a nissan primera, the car still dey now sha, but we don change the engine some years back and the engine sound wella. |

delpee: Very durable when bought new. My mum had one. It never really died...just given away after some of us had used it to learn how to drive. The only problem is that it's a real "fejerun" car. Very stressful to drive. Lol.... With the vertical clutch and brake like sticks. Very weird car. I still remember when a younger one first noticed those two pedals in those days, he laughed like tomorrow no dey... I say wetin happen, he say na the pedals dey funny to am, he's never seen pedals like that before |

Eriokanmi: Reminiscent of the military era. Black and green painted Peugeot 504, GL and SR with tinted glass and telecommunications antenna dangling at the trunk side. My school principal drove a 505 evolution, brand new which he bought with his own money. Our principal's lodge was like an oyinbo quarters. The VP was Indian. A public secondary school for that matter oo
I still doubt those saying our military were reckless in spending and unpatriotic weren't saying so, in order to steal our commonwealth. Those criticising them back in the days have slapped the faces of the masses today and embezzled so much. One of them is the richest politician in africa today, owning 3 private jets and uncountable assets. He rode a bugatti to the airport recently to catch a presidential jet to malabo while the operator of radio kudirat, a former governor owns one of the most expensive private universities in africa in Ghana, while those defending them are wallowing in penury. Mumu people.
Those who have been japaing should have sued these greedy politicians in the Hague for crime against humanity. Japa is never a solution. How can a few greedy Nigerians chase you away from your land due to their inept rule and you'd accept, just like that? What's the remedy for the bolded? How can people be free from the clutches of these demonic leaders? |
