@cinakin I just went to read ur initial question on the matter. I thot u had submitted the form already. I think you should just fill the correct passport no. on the ds 160 and let them know that the error is just with the appointment booking... Your other option is to cancel the appointment yourself and rebook 4 a later date using the correct no. I hope you haven't done so before though cos there is a limit to d no of times u can move an appointment (I think 3x or so)

yes i used the confirmation number to get a date, but in the process typed a wrong passport number, just one alphabet difference,then they sent an appointment a confirmation using the wrong passport number.
cancelling and rescheduling will take longer time as i dont have time again.
i mailed them today to ask for a change of passport number on my ds160 form and they replied asking me to send my scanned passport to them which i have done. i attached it in the file, now i am thinking do they open attached emails? because their website says they dont open such.

Not to worry, you r on the right track. They'll open the attachment and use it to verify ur passport no and effect the change for u. It happened to me b4, although mine was not inputting the full name. Give them like 24hours and if they haven't replied send them a remainder email. I think that is easier than filling anoda form and all that......

I don't think so oh as long as you got the limit (i.e $4k) from sterling bank. They would have stamped it on ur passport already and travelex would check

1; one way ticket
2: u use ur ticket n baby ticket to get the ETc
3: nobody at the airport checked anything only us passport, it is in Nigeria you tender the ETC. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COPY

For me it was different, they asked why there wasn't a visa on mini-me's passport and I had to show them the ETC. They even asked twice, @check in and @ the boarding gate. It was in Naija that the immigration woman didn't ask and I had to remind her.

It was done from Naija... I moved our initial departure date forwards and booked the infant ticket then; that was like 5days to the new departure date. Since it was done in Naija, i didn't bother to request bassinet from them. I called the US office 3days b4 departure to request the bassinet.. some peeps said I was lucky to get it though (maybe cos the flight wasn't full) and that I should ave called earlier.

How far ur side..?? shey d baby is kicking...?? He/she is keeping us waiting oh..

2) Was his ticket booked using his US passport info or ETC or both?

3) Did the US immigration officials give you any issues on you using ETC rather than naija visa for ur baby's trip outside US

1) It was a one way ticket... They just attached it to his mother's itinerary
2)I gave them his passport info when booking the ticket but I don't think it was used.
3) There were no issues at all with the immigration peeps

The iv pain medication they give in the hospital is part of the package, u dont pay for that separately. It has nothing to do with anesthesiologists.

Shawler, from your post, I can deduce that she didn't use epidural. Ask her if any 'injection' was given to her in her spine. If no, then she didn't use it. If it was tru an IV, then it's pain medication and part of your package from the hospital. No extra charge for that.

Epidural is optional in vd but compulsory in c-section. So did she or didn't she? Sounds like you aren't sure

She didn't use the epidural oh, but I thot the pain medication was part of their services....

just checked my reciept. i paid $606 for NICs....baby stayed 3 days and was treated for Jaundice . for The anaesthologist bill, i paid over the phone, the day i finally got thru to someone and they sent me my zero balance promptly. the person's email that sent the zero balance is Candice.Morris@usap.com

i remember they said after a month the $850 discount wont apply agaion and you will have to pay the full fee, which going by the reciept i got then (2014) was $5,940

Thanks a lot favored gal... That $5,940 spurred me into action, cos my baby is just about a month old (but wait first, wetin dem do wey reach dat kin amount..??) shoo...!! Anywayz, i called them again and after searching their systems ova & ova, they didn't find any record/bills for my wife. The woman then asked if my wife took an epidural. I said No, that it was a normal delivery. She then said if an epidural wasn't administered there wouldn't be any bill from them. I told her that my wife took medication for the pain but she said that wasn't 4rm them. So i'm guessing i'm free there...... I hope they are no setting me up sha.. so I no go fit renew my visa again

The only people I dint get any discount from must be greater Houston anaest that one is with abeg they even sent bill in the first place

yeah, but I thought they had already applied the discount.., like the NICS bill. I also received discounts 4rm the others. The anaesthologist bill hadn't arrived b4 I left even after many many calls.. My host is still on it though and would let me know when she receives it

Let me interrupt the debate once again. For oakbend peeps, while paying for brown and associates bill for mother and child, ask for discount. Even though the bill is usually small, less than $150 most times, der is discount for self pay. I was given $113.50 for mother and child bill but I asked for discount and ended up paying $67.50. Firsttymum I know this info will be so so useful to you . This is the number I called 713 559 6929. Oya munch it asap lol.

Dear N/landers, Many thanks for all your useful tips, suggestions and info. I have completed my tour of duty @ the front and returned home with the spoils... I received mini-shawlar’s ETC on Monday and flew back to Nigeria on Tuesday (20/10) using United. I had called them 2 days earlier to request a bassinet & they upgraded wifey and I to economy plus seats cos of that. They didn’t upgrade my mother’s seat though and when I got to the airport and requested for them to do so, the airline official said it’ll cost $159 . I just told her not to worry cos I could see the seating chart and realized there were lots of unassigned seats. At the end of the day, the flight was just over half-full and there were a lot of empty seats, so I just did self-upgrade .
The flight was smooth and uneventful. The immigration officer @ MMA II didn’t even ask for my baby’s documents;when she had finished stamping all 3 passports (mum, wifey & I), she just waved us along; I had to open the etc which was folded and wave it in her face saying ‘how about this?’ She went, ‘oh, for the baby?’ and then she took it, stamped and kept it. (I still have a photocopy though)

I don't think there is any other way of doing it oh (i.e aside 4rm withdrawing & putting it into the American acct). A lot of sites don't even allow you to put in a Nigerian billing address - when you are filling in the billing address, you'll just see that its only the 52 American states that are available (in a drop down format) and there is no way to go round that. I also think its better to deposit money into the american card and use it to avoid sum1 hacking your naija card where all ur savings is at.

@tobermom, Your story really gladdens my heart..., You pulled thru after all the difficulty. God be praised.

I think I also understand how difficult the job is for @justwise but he should also consider how restrictive its becoming for peeps to post on this forum. If we can't post ordinary doc/hospital details and cost here for comparison, then how are we helping others... very soon even poe & visa interviews will be off-limit. (as soon as poe's & individual consulates start advertising )
@justwise; remember that advertisers are coming for this page becos of the number of visits/page views it gets and people would stop visiting if there is no more information for them to gain here or to share thereby also affecting the advertising....
