pls, kindly read my story. I will summarize it as as possible. we met and became friends in 2011, in early 2012, we started the relationship proper. she is a replica of everything I ever wanted in a woman. she stood by me during my trying times especially when I was looking for admission, though, she is ahead academically (now a masters student). she has bn so supportive morally, financially, spiritually etc. I love her with passion. the problem started in april 2015, after a jolly conversation with her on phone, some hours later she sent a hrtbroken message asking for breakup without any quarrel oo. I tot maybe somebody used her phone and made mistake, I called to confirm and she affirmed it. the food I was eatin fell down and I strted feeling heat. after calling her severally without pickin, I called her sisters and a fend for intervention. dey were able to help and we settled. we continue again until last month. we spoke in the morning and later in the evening she started rejecting my calls for no reason. after several persuasion on WhatsApp to tell me wht was wrong, she later said she lost interest in our rltship and wnts us to be frnds, I pressed further to knw why she lost interest, she lack reason, she swear with bible that she didn't have any boyfriend anywhere that she just lost interest, I asked maybe its the time factor, she said no. then I hanged the call trying to control my emotion.

she knows well that I so much love her, so she called back begging that I shud not hurt myself and she was crying. she called early in the following morning still crying. her mum and sisters got to knw and rebuked her actions. she promised to work on her feeling and we settled again. since then, each time I asked abt the development, she always say we shud hold on to God.and be praying about it. she don't say I love u again either on fone or chat.

I wanna share my story,it might help someone out there

6 years ago,i had a sexual encounter with a lady whom i met for the first time,and i never knew her hiv status but i heard she was a promiscuous lady.Exactly 6days later,i fell really ill.although i used a condom on her and an sure it didn't burst.i went to the general hospital where the doctor told me it was malaria,he gave me some drugs which didn't help.Then i made the biggest mistake of my life by typing on google "symptoms of hiv".that was the beginning of my problem. I could remember vividly that i also had a stiff neck during that period.it was as if all the symptoms began to manifest.i went back to the general hospital again and this time,i mer with a consultant.He saw how pale i was looking and advice i do hiv test,it was just a month after the sexual encounter which i obliged and did the test.I was negative.i was happy about the result but deep down i still knew i had to wait for a 3months period to confirm.i never had the courage to go back.fast foward till two years ago,i went to niger to serve ,all my life i have never had typhoid but this cut me there,o treat it comes back in few months, my major sign is abdominal pain.within the space of 2years i have treated typhoid over 5times still it comes back.so i felt my immune system is totally down.i inform my two elder sisters about this,that i think its high time i do this cause the typhoid is back again. just this afternoon they came and we decided to side line my mum. I was already telling the lab attendant to direct me to the closest hiv center.my result came out negative. I wept there because for over 6years,i have been wasting my time on something that was not there.And small headache or sickness i had during that period, i would attribute to hiv.i have learnt some lessons from this

1)not because you fall ill regularly, it then means you have hiv.Hiv doesn't have a particular symptom.The only way to know is testing
2)i hear myths of how condoms has holes in them,this is a big lie.A doctor once told me the only way hiv could pass is if it burst.thats when they say its improperly used. always use a cd
3)never Google your symptoms especially "symptoms of hiv".it would give you what you want.
The brain is a powerful tool,it can make you believe what isn't there,as long as you give it too much thought

This is my first time of posting on this forum and I pray this get to as many people as possible.
Most folks dread the thought of testing positive to HIV but it shouldn't be so. That is why it is very necessary to get tested at least once in a month.
I developed the habit of getting tested monthly (though I can beat my chest and say with pride that I am not a promiscuous fellow). But recently I skipped a couple of months in my routine for no apparent reason. The last time I got a test was mid-march so I went for a test last week and the test result came out positive. To be certain it wasn't a mistake, I went to two other places and the results were adamantly positive.
Now some people may ask who who got me infected, but that is a none-issue as far as I'm concerned . I have even stopped asking myself how I got infected because it's been more than two years since the last time I had sexual intercourse . So it can't possibly have been sexually transmitted to me, most especially as the experts say the viral load is low which means I must have been recently infected, at most not more than five or six months.
I intend to utilize my status as an HIV+ person to reach out and help as many as I can. I am already posting on Facebook what I learn from counseling programs I attend on living with the virus.
The Doctors said they have to monitor my viral load and CD4 count for some time in order to determine the best treatment program for me. I know that if I stick to the treatment program and follow the Doctors advice diligently that I'll still live a healthy life.
I use this medium to beg of everyone reading this to go for an HIV test. Knowing your status is key to helping yourself. If you are negative, please maintain all necessary prevention techniques.... avoid unprotected sex/multiple partners , don't share needles/blades (if you can afford it, get your own hair clipper) but above all, get tested regularly.
If you find out that you are positive (like me) , please don't despair. There are several HIV/AIDS centres in most hospitals across the nation where you can access help in the form of counseling and medications and these are mostly free of charge.
HIV is not a death sentence, you can still live a meaningful and healthy life despite your status.
Spread the message and not the virus.
