I would really hate to start seeing the President in a different light.
Get prepared to start seeing him in different light then cos he won't do shiit about this. These guys are the mafia in charge of this government. Did he do anything about Buratai and Dambazzau revelations? As much as I never saw Jonathan as an option and would never see him as one no matter what, Buhari isn't overtly sincere with his corruption fight. It's a one-sided fight as it is now. May God help us. You know we have lost it in this country if a Jonathan or Buhari are the only options we have had to contend with.
Politics › Re: APC Panel Recommends Cancellation Of Ondo Primary Result by Sheggy13(m): 12:55pm On Sep 20, 2016
bejeiodus:
Mo, I don't see how the APC will win this election with the incipient crisis in the party.
Tinubu needs to be told that he can't have his way all the time. He said in his response to Dr Abayomi's letter that he has lost and won elections and have learnt great lessons from the experience. Why then is it hard to see this as one of the setbacks in his political life?

Mo, the truth of the matter is that some governors are tired of Tinubu's overbearing influence in the Southwest. My governor, Ibikunle Amosun, is one of such governors. He and Tinubu are already engaged in a cold war. That war will reach a climax in 2019 when Tinubu will seek to impose Olamilekan Adeola, aka Yayi, on the state chapter of the APC.

Tinubu has done a lot for the APC no doubt, but he has also been greatly rewarded for his sacrifices for the party. As a veteran of many political battles, he ought to know that when you lose your lieutenants you become vulnerable to defeat.
If I'm not mistaken, this Yayi guy is currently a senator representing Lagos West right? How come same person wants to come forward as a gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state. Can one claim two states at a time in Nigeria especially as both positions-Senator and Governor are elective and not by appointment? Enlighten me on this please.

I now believe that 90% of zombies are stark illiterates. I am usually taken aback on how they write, may be they are paying someone to do it for them because their reasoning is just like a day baby.

No one above is asking EFCC to charge her to court to prove her ownership just as Professor Itsa Sagay opined. You don't just maligned people because you are poor, this hatred though caused by poverty of the mind is been taken too far.
You think writing long sentences so your fellow defenders of corrupt acts can give you numerous likes makes you intelligent? How can EFCC charge a person to court whose name doesn't appear as a director to the company whose accounts are investigated. These directors have proven guilty and that's all that matters to EFCC. The onus is on her to charge EFCC to court since she's laying claim to money in accounts not opened in her name or organization.
This Patience case shows everything that is wrong with this country, for someone to be so bold to own up to money laundering and still issuing threats in the process because she was a first lady and some hungry dimwits would be on standby online to help fight for her.
Education › Re: NUC Approves Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree by Sheggy13(m): 8:57am On Sep 17, 2016
naptu2:
A person with a doctorate degree in yoruba does not practice in a hospital.

(According to some doctors) there are many nigerians who are not very well educated and when they are ill they go to a doctor for treatment. These people will be confused when they see another healthcare worker who is also called Dr *** and might believe that he is a medical doctor.
A person with a doctorate degree in whatever field is a Dr. What I see playing out here is just ego. It's only a question of nomenclature. If all medical staff are ethical enough, a pharmacist shouldn't rush to want to assume the role of a medical doc whenever a medical case is brought forward, and vice versa. Each have their job descriptions and would stick by them in a normal society.
Education › Re: NUC Approves Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree by Sheggy13(m): 7:28am On Sep 17, 2016
naptu2:
There's been a cold war between medical doctors and pharmacists in Nigeria over this issue. The pharmacists want their members that have doctorate degrees to be called doctors, while the medical doctors do not want them to be called doctors because it would confuse the patients.
Are you saying this Pharm.D degree will be given to those who studied Pharmacy up to doctorate level by undertaking masters along the way too or just someone who did a bachelor's degree of say 5-6 years studying Pharmacy, cos that's what majority on this thread are making me believe with their celebration as we know medical docs don't have to do a doctorate degree to be addressed as Dr. If what you're saying here is the case, then I don't see a reason for confusion you're talking about cos you'll be referred to as a Dr as far as you have a doctorate degree regardless of field even if it's in Yoruba Language.

And if I may ask you, how do Edo names sound? Does Edo start and end with Bini, Ishans, Akoko-Edo and the likes only? Do you know there are people with purely Yoruba first names and last names that are from Edo state and that there are Ijaws indigenous to Edo state? If you know all these about Edo state, you won't make the initial comments you made, talking about Afonja and all that in this case.

As for you being scared whether the people you're applying for a scholarship to, will raise eyebrows about you talking credit for someone else's work, that won't come into the picture because they'll have to download the original journal article and see your name there as the lead author. Your fear is genuine though in case they just resort to checking your publication on Google scholar and not downloading it.

From Oby Ezekwesili
I still find it funny that most people don't know why Nigeria economy went into recession, they love the incompetent lies of Lai Mohammed about the past government ruining everything. It's also myopic to think that if Jonathan were to still be in power, we would be worse off. The truth about Nigeria's recession is this; it was caused by the president's unguided rhetoric and uncultured body language. Firstly, there is nothing we are buying today that we weren't buying 5 years ago, therefore it's not our purchase that put pressure on Naira but withdrawal of funds by foreign investors. After the election, the president created instability with his unguided statements about how everyone is corrupt and how everyone is going to jail. The instability made foreign investors to liquidate their investment and change their money to dollars. In the process of trying to flee, they were willing to buy dollars at any price, which lead to high exchange dollar rate. Even though some of them were not ready to run away, but want their money in dollars to save their investments from devaluation, the president gave a bad signal by banning deposit of foreign currency into dormiciliary accounts. That was enough for free market believers to see the draconian handwriting on the wall, that was the beginning of dollar rush. To make matters worse, the president came up with another outrageous policy of rationing dollar to certain sectors and blocking many sectors out. That was the nail in the coffin which facilitated the emergence of free FALL. In the end, foreign investors took over $80B out of the economy within a short period and everything went down to free fall. To those who believe it will be worse if Jonathan is still there, you are all wrong. Policy continuity and political stability will not let billions of dollars leave our shores within such tiny time frame. Even though the government might have income shortage, the private sector will weather the storm by their confidence in the market. The fear of the unknown created by PMB is responsible for the economic downturn not low oil price. Interest rate in America is currently at 0.5% while it is 12% in Nigeria. JP Morgan Chase will not mind borrowing $50 billion from Feds at 0.5 and put in Nigeria for return of %2000 profit. Citi bank will do the same, likewise US Bank Corp. Chase gave Buhari warning about the repercussions of his fixing policy before they pulled out, but his illiterate cyber warriors and misseducated e-soldiers said JPMORGAN can go to hell, they no longer believe in economic metrics since their messiah is in charge. Funny enough they are all suffering today because of the stupid policy, but they find relief by blaming it on past administration and Gucci appetite of average Nigerians. For your information, if your president "kontunu" with his unguided rhetoric, Naira will go down to N1000/1 $. But we thank God, he is no longer talking.
Can you please give me a link to this article. Thanks

Say what you know. Tinubu was never in support of Adeosun's choice as Finance minister. He instead presented the immediate past Commissioner for Finance in Lagos but Buhari decided to go with Amosun's candidate and that was how Kemi emerged.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Christians Hate Homosexuals If God Created Them That Way by Sheggy13(m): 4:02am On Sep 04, 2016
Lennycool:
This is fun, so many flaws which to pick apart first. I wasn't just referring to Cains wife, the bible says there where only two humans in the beginning hence the children must have reproduced with each other, and your explanation for the existence of homosexuality as a genetic disorder in the brain (though correct) contradicts with Gods perfection (just like every disabled person on earth), and is you want to talk about barbarism you look no further than Gods instruction to the Israelites, ranging from slavery to rape and genocide.
The bible was written by archaic men, this helped me break my religious bonds.
www.godisimaginary.com
The point is no matter how convincing an answer is given to you, you'd never accept it because you've programmed your mind to believe homosexuality should be encouraged by Christians. First of, you don't believe in the Bible, so any references to the Bible which is a guide for Christians will not appeal to you. You keep giving excuses of animals engaging in homosexuality to be a reason why humans should find it natural, comparing us with them. They are animals for a reason, lower creatures. Does the fact that some animals do things we (humans generally) consider abnormal- eat their droppings and even mate with their mothers make it natural and acceptable for humans? This homosexuality you're talking about is responsible for the introduction of arguably the most destructive disease mankind has ever had to contend with - HIV/AIDS. Infact when the disease was first discovered, it was called Gay-Related Immune Deficiency (GRID) Syndrome. What does that tell you? Humans are naturally inquisitive creatures who like to explore things. This is how homosexuality started. No human was born gay. Ask any gay you come across especially here in Nigeria, they'll you they were indoctrinated into it at younger ages by people quite close to them. Same way, people started exploring bestiality and even being made legal in some countries. Perhaps by the next generation, it'd become so widespread as homosexuality is now and people will start claiming it's also natural and some were born to love to mate with animals.
