NextGovernor:Even you correcting someone with such condescending tone, you aren't any better. Should it have been worst or worse in that sentence? |
Izonpikin:Okonjo-Iweala who's more knowledgeable than you and directly involved in both administrations affirmed that OBJ saved which was what saved us from the 2008 global recession and you are here talking about money spent on power? You mean a government has to be put under duress to do what is right? I asked, what happened with saving the FG share of this excess crude which was the biggest chunk, compared to that of the states. While I agree to restructuring, saying we should shut up and not put blames at the door steps of those culpable in getting us where we are today is where you're wrong. OBJ had his own faults, part of which you've highlighted-Power. What kills us in this country is the idea that because you're supporting someone, he can do wrong and cannot be blamed and that is same mistake people are making with Buhari now. You're talking about Niger Delta being raped. The major problem there is more of bad and insincere leadership. Can you give me a justification for why states like Edo and Anambra with bigger civil service and population and about half of the allocation of Bayelsa can pay worker's salaries till date while teachers in Bayelsa are on strike owing to a backlog of 7 months salary? |
sarrki:Stop supporting politicians blindly. When they err, you say it, not applaud their every move like they can do no wrong, whether dumb like this one or laudable. Before you label me a wailer, do due diligence by checking my post history on political discourse. |
Thayay:I guess you're still using this phone? How is your battery performing now. Mine is totally awful now. I'm an heavy user. It takes me over 5-6 hours to get this phone full by putting it off, with a charger that charges other phones quite fast ( I lost the follow come charger). I don't use it for more than 4 hours of heavy usage before the battery goes off from 100%. I bought it in January. Wasn't like this initially. I want to know if you're experiencing something similar or it's just me. Contemplating buying a new battery from their store. Don't know if that's a good idea perhaps the one that comes with this is defective. |
Tip101:Stop turning facts in its head mister. NOI wasn't referring to the constitution with that statement. She was categorical. She said she served under two regimes (OBJ and GEJ) and said under one, there was a political will to save and under the other, that will was absent. We all know which regime saved and which one didn't. Thankfully, both regimes operated with the same 1999 constitution. So what other twist will you come up with? If you want, I can furnish you with links to that publication. Whichever way you look at it, GEJ was a total disaster, though he had few props in way of reorganizing INEC and upholding the rule of law to an extent. Asides that, he was a mistake of a leader especially in a period of boom which we experienced between 2011-2014. PS: If you are gonna come up with the excuse of governors didn't allow him save, like governors never existed during OBJ time. Do you know the FG takes the lion share of any allocation done? Pray tell, why couldn't the Jonathan-led FG save their own portion after giving the states theirs? There was global recession in 2008. Even top economies like the UK and USA were affected. Nigeria was immune from that owing to the strong will of OBJ who was able to jealously guide the future of his country and not spray dollars about like the buffoon did in the last election. Someone who as governor of a small state like Bayelsa couldn't do anything enviable was brought to rule a complex entity like Nigeria. It's a pity. |
stuffs4me:I'm not comparing. Please try and read stuffs before you challenge someone. We're talking about someone who has studied up to PhD level and lecturing and I'm letting you he did SLT as a first degree before doing PGD Chem, MSc and PhD. |
stuffs4me:My emphasis is on PhD Chemistry, never said HND Chemistry. You can study SLT, while majoring in Chemistry for HND. |
Jidibia:That's a big point. Polys are not known for research, as the highest degree given there is HND unlike a university where you study up to PhD. With just an MSc as a lecturer in a Poly, you could rise to become an equivalent of an associate Prof (Reader) in a university in terms of rank and pay while the highest an MSc can fetch you in a university is Lecturer I which is two levels lower than a Reader with a wide gulf in pay and respect and that is even obtainable after many years of teaching experience and research publications. So a polytechnic can never be equated with a University whichever way you look at it. |
acorntree:What you've said is very true. I know of someone who's lecturing in a college of education, a PhD holder in Chemistry after HND, PGD and MSc, and looking to cross over to the University. She's currently running a BSc programme in Chemistry because of this, it also affected her promotion. That's how funny the system works. The logic is how can you lecture university undergraduates when you yourself didn't pass through the system? |
Greatdre:Now I understand you better. If you don't mind, you can enroll for another WAEC. I know it's not easy after so many years but that may help since they're putting much emphasis on O'Level grades these days in admission. Don't give up on your dreams. It's well. |
Ooni:Pele ti e.. omo Oshogbo ni e loto lol |
omoyowa:I'm not actually reacting to his comment on this thread per se,just that he has a habit of always insulting Yorubas and claiming to be one. You're right about our governors being useless, aside Ambode and maybe Amosun also. It's quite sad though. |
Ooni:Dude why do you like to fool yourself by claiming and insulting Yorubas when you're clearly not one. It's time you grow up honestly. |
belzabull:Was it your melzabull account they banned? lol..well done strong woman. |
Greatdre:I'm sorry about your plight but I find it really strange that you could score as high as 296 all by yourself in UTME and cannot get at least an A1, B2 or B3 in any of your required O'Level subject. Really strange. |
abbeyreal92:The funny thing is most of the fools chanting war songs here are not even from Edo state but from the South East. They stay in their region or Lagos and calling for violence in another man's land, in an election where they have no stake, simply because of their hatred for Buhari and APC. |
sexyellency:Are you sure you're ok kid? When I finished my first degree, I'm sure you were still rolling tyre on the streets with your mates. So direct your advice to yourself. |
Ruby17:You're correct. They've uploaded the list of successful awardees as a PDF file on their website. Good luck to the successful ones. |
Rilwayne001:You must be really stupid if all you've got to counter my points is using foul words. I've got my opinions and observations which I've made and that shouldn't be any of your headache. FYI, I'm from the South West and not Igbo and there are always few exceptions to the rules in every scenario. |
Election is less than two months away and none of these candidates have a running mate yet. Which way Ondo State? |
GMbuharii:Mr, I'm from the major oil-producing LGA in the South West and not really a fan of Buhari or any other politician for that matter but bombing of pipelines doesn't help us in the long run. |
linusbnn:Even though Buhari has made some blunders and silly remarks like the 97%-5% thingy, bombing of pipelines is not a punishment to Buhari or his family but to the average Nigerian who work and can't be paid salaries for months because state governors including those from the region they think they're protecting their interest, give the excuse of allocation not able to go round as a result of dwindling revenue from oil sales which is largely caused by this pipeline bombing. So whichever way you look at it, it's the ordinary Nigerian that is at the receiving end. |
idensko:The mistake people like you make and those from your ilk is that you think militants bombing pipeline is affecting Buhari and his immediate family or only "Afonjas", alas the stupidity of the actions of these mere criminals is felt by the ordinary Nigerian including Niger Deltans in states like Cross Rivers, Rivers and Bayelsa who they claim to be fighting for. They are owed salaries for months and made to suffer as a result of dwindling revenue owing to this pipeline explosion by their brothers. It's only fools that will praise the actions of these boys. |
MhizVeronica:Does that your friend have Adbul something as the surname, or Mohammed or Ibrahim as you can see from the samples uploaded here? If not, na O.Y.O be him case. Never seen a more religion-biased school in my life before, despite the school not situated in the core north. |
preselect:The funny thing is Buhari even favoured the SS more in his appointments than the SW who people would ordinarily think he would have owing to the support given to him by the zone during the elections. |
crutess:was given the data and credit but not browsing and can't call with it.. is it working for you? |
techinfong:Boss, u talked about how to get Adsense approval without contents. How does one go about that? You can help me check out the blog: naijaawake.com when chanced to see what can be done to improve it, generally and monetarily. Thanks. |
discusant:You people always have this victim mentality of they're ganging up against us. In all of what you said, you never blamed the EFCC detective for seeking and collecting gratification simply because he's Igbo. Did they force him at gun-point to hand the money over to him? Change your ways and learn to be upright. Stop supporting corrupt acts simply because the offender is from your ethnic stock. |
Decryptor:Why are you so shameless? Lying over something that's so glaring just to tell us how much you hate Yorubas which is an established fact already known by people on this forum. It's boldly written in the story that the said rapist is from Ado LGA in Benue but resides in Otukpo, yet you have the effrontery to come with a fake story told by your fictitious cousin. So much for being a bigot. |
