CareerRe: When Is A Man Said To Be Successful by shegzhkn: 5:39am On Jun 03, 2021
iLegendd:
I don't want to type a long epistle or argue, but let me see how short I can make it.

1. I have lived there for years, so I'm speaking from experience.
2. Saying Nigeria is richer does not mean they are poor — in fact, I feel they are 100 times richer than Nigeria in being organized, smart, and managing human resources.

Before I continue, let me point out 5 things

1. All the years I spent, light never blinked.
2. Internet is free (if you subscribe your cable TV) and the speed is immeasurable. 1 GB file downloads in 2 minutes or less with the network I was using.
3. The entire country in tiled and clean.
4. I have never seen an accident or roberry scene before in Singapore.
5. Living there will make you not to even desire going to Heaven because it's Heaven on Earth.

Now, let me tell you why I said Nigeria is richer.

Population, Nigeria is WAY more.
Natural resources, Nigeria is WAY more.
Number of billionaires, Nigeria is WAY more.
Number of everything, Nigeria is WAY more.
Money? Nigeria has WAY more.

Now, this is the interesting part. They have WAY more brain and wisdom than Nigeria.

This brain and wisdom is the reason they are ahead of us. They are even the country that refines our crude for us and "sell" it back to us.

While I was living there, two Nigerian men I met at the club visited me and we became friends.

What brought them to Singapore? Crude. They came by sea to rebuy our product because we don't have a working refineries. So, Singapore makes billions from Nigerian government.

Not only Nigeria, but some other countries. 40% or more of the buildings in the country are underground and most of them are industries that manufacture things. Some are owned by Chinese, Malaysian, etc.

Also, Singapore is a "fine and tax" nation. Any little offence you commit, you get fined and any little thing you buy, you pay tax.

Even abortion, you pay tax — a Nigerian girl I know ran to Malaysia to do abortion at a cheaper rate to evade tax. Meet a hooker, you pay tax. Go to club, you pay gate fee and pay tax, etc.

The only thing they don't tax is the air you breathe. One day, they'll surely tax it.

At Dubai's airport, enroute Singapore, I thought I had seen the best, but when I got to Singapore's airport, I marveled. SG is ahead.

So, saying Nigeria is richer does not in anyway mean Singapore is poor — I was only referring to population and natural resources, not human resources, wisdom, productivity, and financial management.

Singapore is the cleanest, finest, and most expensive country in the world. Oh, I forgot to say, it's only in Singapore, Denmark, and 5 other countries you can have a solid peace of mind.

It's so safe to the point that the late Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew's house was opposite my Church and there was no single security man there. When he goes out, it's only 1 car or 2 max and 1 bike.

Based on what I said earlier, peace of mind is key. Singapore gives it to you for free, but to live in that country, you must make sure your account balance is solid, else, deportation. In fact, you won't even be allowed to come in if you don't have money and a purpose.

If you do drugs, death penalty. It's an organized multicultural nation with billionaires from all parts of the world going there to invest. It's a rest, invest, and have fun nation.

Singapore's survival is based on people's money, not natural resources, unlike Nigeria that is rich in natural resources. (This is why I said Nigeria is richer, but Singapore is 100 million times ahead in infrastructure, technology, security, peace of mind, and every other things).

It's a country (an Island) everyone deserves to visit just to see how Heaven looks like.

Now, I rest my case. Nigeria is richer, but Singapore is stronger, wiser, smarter, and better. I can roam the entire Singapore from 11:59 PM to 5 AM in the morning and nothing will happen to me, even as a black man. Try that in Nigeria as a black, white, or Asian man and see what will happen to you.

Being rich does not mean a man is successful — peace of mind is the definition of success.

In summary, Nigeria is richer, but Singapore is successful. If not for the criminals we have called politicians, you would've seen how rich Nigeria is.
Funny dude, see flawed analogy.

By that logic too i will assume Nigeria is also richer than Japan because i am sure japan is a resourceless country and same goes for South Korea and Germany too.

Dude it is never about the resources, it about creating values and building the manufacturing sector of the economy, Nigeria is suffering from Dutch disease, Resource curses, etc.

Nigeria does not have more billionaires than Singapore, do your homework and infact it illogical to compare billionaire in Singapore to Nigeria because one Singapore billionaire is richer than all ur USD billionaire put together and also their success is independent of government help.

Common the Market Capitalization of their stock exchange is humongous compare to what you have here, Flex, Wilmar International, Grab, Trafigura, etc, all the best firm No Nigeria corporate entity come close.

Nigeria has the population yes a huge population of incredibly poor, helpless, hopeless & frustrated souls stucked in a hole and always looking for every available opportunity to find better life in distant shore.

Finally don't compare Nigeria GDP with that of Singapore, like really Nigeria is like 40X the population of Singapore and even the difference in GDP is almost inconsequential, Why don't you use GDP per capita.

Nigeria : 2432 USD

Singapore : 64,103 USD

Please don't do that again, Nigeria should only be mention alongside Singapore if charity is what is been discussed.

iLegendd:
A man is successful if he has handled these three things below

1. Women: He is an alpha who can handle women (in and outside the bedroom) without being a pushover or a simp and at the same time, without being controlling and abusive.

2. Money: He has a skill or skills that make him money while he sleeps.

3. Management: He knows how to mange the money he made by investing and spending wisely.

Bonus: His mind and health are healthy.

Tips:

1. No matter how successful you think you are as a man, if you ignore knowing how to handle a woman like a real man and put all your hopes on "money," a woman will run you down one day and that success or money you think you have will disappear. This skill is EXTREMELY important.

2. Okay, let's assume you can handle women, but if you don't have skills that will make you money while you sleep and when you're awake, you'll labor for the rest of your life. Is that the kind of life you want as a man? No.

3. Now, let's assume you can handle women and can make money, but you don't know how to invest or spend wisely, what will happen to you? You'll lose all.

Finally, you've got the three things above handled, but bad health is weighing you down. Will you be at peace? No. Mental health is important too.

Peace of mind = success. What brings peace of mind to a man? Handling the things I listed above.

If Buhari has brought peace of mind to Nigerians, he is a successful president, else, he is a failure.

The best way to weigh success is with peace of mind, not material things.

In this regard, I can confidently say, "Nigeria is not a successful nation, but Singapore, a small country Nigeria is richer than, is a successful nation."

I miss Singapore — I can't wait to go back.

This is my yardstick to defining success. PEACE OF MIND.
How is Nigeria richer than Singapore ??

Yeah 1 million a month is just 2000 dollars which you can get via remote jobs now. Medicine is good but not to practice in Nigeria. The best thing a doctor can Do Is to write foreign exams and japa after studies. My mom is a doctor presently doing her residency and she earns just 200k. I with less than a year of programming experience earn more than two times her monthly salary. If my mom was a doctor in the USA of course only very few programmers can match what she earns. The best thing doctors can do now is to japa but to even japa you need money and government has stopped paying salaries for housemanship.
Hilarious !

Besides what do you do to earn more than mom in less than 1.5 years into tech.

I don't mean to talk down on freelancers. It's good and it's worth it. Better than fraud and 9-5 job.

All I'm trying to say is: any work you do that doesn't allow you make money from it while you sleep for 1 full year is slavery.

What I do is: I focus on businesses that'll fetch money while asleep, awake, or dead.

Three of them are

1. Recorded music (via streaming platforms — Bob Marley still makes billions of Naira every year)
2. Movies (you pay the creator to stream or watch it every year)
3. Games/apps/software (paid versions)
4. Books/audio books (paid versions)
5. YouTube/Video courses (paid versions)
6. Monthly subscription packages
7. Cry.pto investment (not day trading)
8. And the list is endless

These are the kinds of things that'll take you out of financial slavery.

As I said, freelancing is still better than most businesses, so I'm not discouraging you, but I can never do it.
Yeah I agree with your submission.

Not a lie. Same way they see Osama Bin Ladin as a hero. When I was in Kwara, one of my students whom I lecture at home was flipping through his phone to show me pictures of northern elites. When he got to Babangida, he shouted Gamji. Same with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Muritala Mohammed and some others. When he got to Bin Ladin picture, he shouted "my hero". I looked at him and asked him if this isn't the same terrorist who blew the twin tower in USA. He replied that those people are infidels.

Hmmm... My love for him fade that day. I'd hope to go back once in a while after my service year. I never went back.
Lol, which part in the state ??

Those kids are indoctrinated from childhood that folks who look or pray differently are enemies and should be slain.

And that is why it is not uncommon to see their ulamas preaching hatred not only in Nigeria but in Muslim majority countries, it is the religion itself.

For web development you can build websites with python frameworks like Django or flask but there's very few jobs using it so it's like a waste at the end at least to me.

If he is depressed in Nigeria then he would definitely commit suicide in UK cos UK is as boring as hell compare to Nigeria.

If you are financially ok in Nigeria, trust me, you don’t have any reason to trade that for UK.

Why do you think African rich men even middle class don’t stay in Europe(UK) cos the weather and social life are completely Zeros with racism on top of it?

The only reason why people from poor homes stay in Europe is cos of employments(menial jobs-89%) and exchange rate. If £ & $ are at the same rate with Naira today, i swear down, 90% Nigerians in USA/UK ll be packing their luggage’s by this evening heading to different airports.

Like his parents said, nothing in Europe/America if you r financially ok in Nigeria but if you r from poor homes, why not?
Rich men in Africa don't stay in distant shore because they are almost completely useless there, they can only thrive well in climate obtainable in places like Nigeria.
