porka: What you wrote here is not clear.
You need to post the link to what you have been reading to allow for clarity.
Nevertheless, the seeming premise of your conclusion, based on your question, is part of the historically false assumptions that got Buhari elected by Nigerians and now regrettably looking for a way out without finding any.
Get it very clear.
The oil revenue is shared by all tiers of government: comprising the federal, 36 states, and 774 local governments
Using the federal government budget alone to compare the oil receipt is fraught with grave errors.
You would need to add the budgets/estimates of all the states and LGAs to make an appropriate comparion.
Or isolate the share of the FG from the revenue to compare with its budget.
In any case, the budget itself is not all about expenditure, it states the portion of receipts and the sources. Sire am not a buharist , infact right from the time he declared his ambition in 2015 , I was sceptical about the guy about delivery. but of course am sure of what I do post online it passes through impeccable scrutiny. To my understanding what you are trying to say is that all federal government revenues from oil sales, royalties, rent , firs revenues, nimasa, jamb all sum together are shared between the three tiers of the government framework Abi. |

GenBuhari: naija matter weak me sef!
nnpc don't remit all revenues. foreign imperialist oil companies are pumping our oil and taking some away with out paying for it in other words straight up theft of our crude. foreign oil companies are paid 6 approx 50% of revenue realised from our crude sales.
when I say that we will never progress until we break our exploitative ties with white man, Nigerians seem not to take it seriously General so what you mean is that the difference between amount of oil sale and government annual expenditure is what the west are taking away from us.. I guess you mean companies like royal Dutch shell , chevron, Exxon Mobil right. |

Was just going through the web and I saw reference to former president Jonathan regime of how we had 4.9 trillion naira for 2014 annual budget but over 77B USD as the annual oil sale for the year and the budget equivalent at the time was a little above 30B USD.
so my question is are we utilizing all our oil revenue for budget or what will have happened to the remaining amount that is not reflecting in the budget.

Politics › Where Is The Location Of Nigeria Looted Fund by shegzhkn(op): 9:27am On Aug 19, 2018 |
Emm..
we've all heard of the amount of money Gen. abacha looted it around 5B USD during his reign as Nigeria head of state before his transition to another world.
it was on record that most of the cash were stashed in Switzerland.
But what of Cash allegedly looted by IBB, OBJ, TY Danjuma,Tinubu and host of others.
Where are these money now when Nigeria is hopeless or it was just a ploy by these individual political enemies to portray them in a bad light or the money is probably been put to use for investment in some local and foreign companies. |

Knowing fully well Nigeria is not having any external aggression and most military engagement of Nigerian Armed Forces is an internal security issue say Niger delta Militant and Boko Haram. Meaning the military are killing Nigerian citizens on Nigerian soil , United States posse comitatus forbid the military to enforce civilian laws. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_ActIs it appropriate that Nigerian Armed Forces are fighting in our homeland? |

Ioannes: In a sane country where democracy is practised as it should be, no.
But this is Nigeria. What we are practicing isn't democracy. It's dem-all-crazy.
It's easy for the senators to find loop holes in governance and in the law with which to impeach the President.
By now as a Nigerian you should know that anything is possible as far as this lawmakers are concerned.
Do you think the senators won't accuse the president of intimidating the legislative arm of government and use that as an excuse to try and impeach him on the grounds of treasonable felony?
How many of these senators do you really think are bright and brilliant?
We just read today that senator Adeleke doesn't even have WASSCE result.
Do you know how many of them have used forged certificates?
Are those the same people you think will exercise rational thoughts if they are facing the threat of imprisonment?
I mean, just look at Dino Melaye. Kidnapping himself just to avoid appearing in court.
So yes the kilobyte sense in the skulls of our lawmakers will make them desperate enough to want to impeach a PRESIDENT who has committed no impeachable offence.
I hope I answered your question. Was busy yesterday so I couldn't answer your quotes anymore. you just nailed it boss. Thanks |

So I was arguing with one guy yesterday on how a president can sanitize the National Assembly of corrupt politicians and he said the president need to act fast to carry out a mop up before they impeach him.
Since the law makers needs to accuse the president of a crime say treason, bribery, etc before they can carry on with their plan and the Chief Justice need to preside over the impeachment proceedings to find evidence of the allegations , Now assuming the president committed no crime but was coming for their head because of their past transgression and perhaps they sensed danger and the only way for them to escape retribution for their injustice was impeach their enemy.
Is this act possible? |

xreal: Insurgents can't 'overpower' a country's paid force, without the force selling itself.
These are innocent recruits who sees it a great honour to wear camou, they are then pushed down to keep the 'war' alive.
One day a serious leader (military or civilian) will emerge, shed the necessary blood and end this. Meaning all war the Nigerian Armed Forces are fighting are sponsored war. |

Ioannes: I understand what you're saying.
That's why I said that such process can only succeed if it is conducted swiftly and with an element of surprise.
1. You could wait until they've gone for a long recess.
2. You could make it look like you're going after the opposition party at first. Your party senators will relax and even those of the other party will decamp thinking it will save them. Then you go ahead and axe all of them.
3. You could hire a team of lawyers to go after all of them at once and since the judges are yours they will expedite their trials. Within a couple of weeks the House of Assembly is clean.
4. They can't start impeachment proceedings without someone heading the Senate. So you go for the Senate President and the deputy. They elect some others to fill their positions, then you go for those ones too and wait again for them to fill the position and you strike again. Before you know it none of them will accept those positions so as not to attract your axe.
Sponsor a couple of senators and make them Senate President and deputy. Assure them that as long as they are loyal they won't be prosecuted.
Then go for the other senators.
That's checkmate bro. if you say so. someone like sowore whose 'party members' are yet to be found in the senate has to promise a rogue to assume the temporal senate lead and then that gesture will be a mitigating factor in his own sentencing when the axe finally fell on him abi. And besides for the president to be impeached he must have committed an offence against the constitution if not then impeaching him will be a non starter for 'em. |

Ioannes: What you are suggesting is that a Democratically elected president should transform into an emperor and suspend the Constitution and all democratic institutions in the country.
Well, it's possible, but the US will never support you. At least not at first.
Most nations and probably the US will sanction you. We saw that happen during the Abacha era when Nigeria became a pariah nation. A leper that nobody wanted to touch.
If you weren't born then I can assure you that things were very very tough for Nigerians.
Anybody that wants to toe this line must make sure that he's got a plan to get the country functioning without the help of other nations.
After a few years and your country makes good progress and the people are content and happy, then the outside world will open its arms to you and accept your form of government. OK I share your thoughts too. look at it this way, you suggest earlier that something like this can be done if the executive sanitize the judiciary so that all the criminal there will have to pay for their sins, but you do know that this legislators will know that it will soon get back at them because something of such nature is unprecedented. Yoruba has a saying that ' Iku ton Pa ojugba eni, owe lon pa fun ni' which mean a death killing one relatives is just a step away. Now you start waging war against 1,2,3 lawmakers and say the fourth, the fifth and we know nearly all of them are criminals you don't think the process of such president impeachment will be faster than light speed. What will be effective is to 'drone strike ' all at once. That analogy of yours won't work he will get impeached asap. |

aribisala0: basically : A coup by the president. It is doable but risky risky no... or maybe a calculated risk. The president will do a good job first by winning heart of many with this he can seek consensus with world power and the Armed Forces along with local law enforcement agencies and he can then dissolve them all at once. |
Politics › Re: Sowore Pledges To Abolish The Senate If Elected President In 2019 by shegzhkn: 2:22pm On Jul 27, 2018 |
earnvest: He's not talking about dissolving the two houses. If we have a just judiciary and a working house of representatives, pray tell what we still need the senate for?
I laugh whenever I see them in the red chamber addressing themselves as 'honorable'. It's always a face-palm moment. yes am just saying cos practically the law makers are strategically worthless to whatever will move Nigeria forward... so with that I think we just got rid of a big problem Nigeria democracy is facing. |
Politics › Re: Sowore Pledges To Abolish The Senate If Elected President In 2019 by shegzhkn: 1:54pm On Jul 27, 2018 |
Ioannes: Look, first I don't want us to go into the realm of conspiracy theories. You and I have no definite proof and i mean, no definite proof that there's a group somewhere controlling this planet as you've just asserted. Don't let's go there. YouTube allegations are mostly to sell cyberspace.
Now, if it were so easy to kill off Presidents of other countries just like that why is Mugabe still alive and other sit tight presidents in Africa. How about that idiot in the Philippines?
You think America hasn't learned it's lessons from Libya? Gaddafi though a tyrant kept Libya in place. He died and now we have terrorists and weapons finding their way across international borders. Some into Nigeria to fuel Boko Haram and the herdsmen.
If Nigeria sinks into chaos what do you think is going to happen?
But all these aren't even in contention.
Please read my post properly.
I said for such a thing to take place it has to be executed very swiftly. He doesn't have to fear assassination. All he has to fear is impeachment. That's all. OK bro what if a president with the backing of his Armed Forces and other local law enforcement agencies along with consensus with Ally nation, can he dissolve both houses at once. |
