Hello folks, i am using 2019 Windows enterprise edition and mostly i use it with work internet , but lately when i want to use the computer at home , i use mobile data and my phone hotspot ; most times i do just basic things like reading article and doing just simple surfing but in less than 10min over 500MB is gone - for just using google and reading article , can the OS be the cause of this probably doing some background stuffs ?

I just got a new laptop (HP Elite book) to be precise and what I do mostly is coding and after some time to relax my brain I just play one episode of the movies series and get back to work , but the laptop last 2.5 hour max on normal performance when not plugged in , is this normal ?
