Just today I was wandering though my WhatsApp status when I came across an old friend status. Dude was videoing his moment in airport flying plane and displaying the big man life.
Well I started reminiscing on how this dude started. How we were together in 100l 8yrs back.
Dude was a slight above average student who had a profound purpose in life. Very focused.
He started his unidays through writing article on both national and school politics.
Dude wasn't making profit but was instead passionate about being a media man.
Gradually during our 300l, he started advertising his blog on WhatsApp with some very creative political contents.
Usually they look bored to the majority of student but I've always maintained a positive contribution to friends even though it looked bored, I still took genuine time to read his content which in the end sometimes grab my interest other times I don't finish but I try as much as visiting his site.

Well dude was the slightly below average lifestyle spender. He wasn't having enough and sometimes go broke and rich.

I'll tell you how he grew up in fame

As at 300l dude was already a recognised name on campus, he had already made some political headwaves to gain some level of recognition on school affairs. Dude got into politics fulltime but never contested..
He was quite influential in our final SUG last election which his candidate won, But dude dint stopped there.
He's always on the media for several reason, I got to know this website through him, the way he picks up our phone as friends and the first thing he does was nairaland. Dude was so addictive to this site and was always typing.
Today dude is a member of the Nigerian youth Parliament, I checked his twitter page and even though he's gat good contents, dude has less than 5k followers. Deserves more if you ask me.

Well he's a low key individual with potential cashing out big time from politics without publicity. I got a good FG programme which I earned a drone for from him two years back and today dude is living the dream life, moving with kids of influential men. Well he's that good without much publicity, he was found so people needed him.

Today I decided to check the price of flight from lagos to Abuja and I got to know that its around 160-180k🙄🙄
Ive never entered plane in my life and that dream doesn't look like happening sooner.

My earning level won't make me spend 160k for service I can spend less than 20k for. Only that time factor. We'll 12hrs is enough time to save 140k in a bus ticket.

If there's anything in life I've learnt is that.
Some have wealthy destinies other just have to strive.
Very few of my coursemate are settled.
Besides if you take only the men as sample study, you'll find less than 10% as fully settled. A good number are managing can't say for the rest.
It's 3years since I finished service. No profound job, besides the jobs coming in don't look attractive enough. Imagine a stressful job of 150k a month with over 50k going away for transport and small chops when I can just dedicate 2weeks to my bolt driving and earn that same amount. I've made comparison and I'll rather stick to my job but yea, Im not gunning for a manageable lifestyle.
We've heard people sharing their their life experience on how they make their breakthrough.
But those who didn't make it, its true no one wants to hear your story but I'll love you to share you fails and trials rather than share nothing.

How many parties do you attend in a month, for the party goers, average of 4 times. You will buy cloth, sew it, probably buy new shoe, gift the celebrant something, spray them money when they are dancing all because of plate of rice with chicken and 5 bottles of beer.

Do the maths, cloth 20k( level dey but on average), new shoe 5k, gifts 5-10k, spraying of money 5k. Let's say N35k.

Please how much are they selling food at restaurants abi na how much beer cost for bars that you are wasting your hard earned money on partying?

On Monday evening while I was at home with my girlfriend, her pastor called her that he was coming over to visit of which she said ok, meanwhile, she has already told her pastor and some of her relatives that she was staying with her female friend and not her boyfriend, Of which she gave me her reasons that her pastor and other members of the church including her relatives, will not agree to her staying with a man without marriage. Though I'm a Muslim and a Hausa boy, born and bought up in Lagos were we currently reside, and she is an Igbo girl who was born and bought up in the north, only came here for her nysc and also secure a job at her church as the church accountant/ secretary.
So she told me that her pastor just called her that he is coming around to visit her, so I have to lock myself in the room to allow them talk. I waited for like 20 mins, before I came out to urinate. I peeped through the palour curting but they were not their, so i checked the other room just to be sure. And behold I saw my girlfriend and her pastor who is married with 2 kids on the small guess bed in the room all naked getting ready for sex. Men! I was shot of words, I almost killed that guy before he ran away i didn't follow him cus I don't want to attract the neighbors.
I really love my girlfriend and I don't really want her to go just like that, but I guess I don't have a choice.
