OMBIIGA: I'm FG should wake up from her sleep and slumber, thereafter fix the state owned refinery to guarantee energy security for the citizens. They don’t even need to fix their refineries now. They claim to have a stake in Dangote refinery. They can decide to sell their share of petrol for local market at a reduced price. |

DeLaRue: Please provide the video of where he specifically saidhe would fix electricity in his first term.
If you don't have a video, provide a newspaper record (from the likes of Punch, This day, The Nation, or Guardian) to support your claim.
Electricity has not been fixed by any government since Nigeria's independence in 1960, so how can a government fix it in 4 years.
PDP under Chief Obasanjo spent $16 billion trying to fix electricity yet there was little improvement.
This government hasn't barely spent 10% of that (due to lack of money) yet you expect a magical transformation in power supply.
Back to my main point. Provide an official source showing that Mr Tinubu made the promise you claimed.
That is not to say the current power situation is not terrible, and we all desperately need tangible solutions. I agree with you on that. Stop making excuses for failures. Unless you’re one yourself. Tinubu has over the years screamed that he can solve all Nigeria’s problems when he was in the opposition. In 2015, he campaigned vigorously for Buhari and said APC will solve Nigeria’s problems, he repeated same in 2019. In 2023, he said he is the best to tackle Nigeria’s problems. He has only worsened the situation of things and no sane human should be making excuses for such fellow. I have followed keenly Tinubu since his days as governor and after and he has been consistent in saying he has the capacity to solve Nigeria’s problems. He has no excuse under the sun to give on why he has failed woefully. He’s a failure and under no circumstances should such a person that insulted all the presidents in PDP even though those once have proven to be better handlers of governance than him. |

Richtaiwo: Russia and Saudi Arabia are far wealthier than Nigeria, yet Nigeria’s population is nearly double that of Russia and more than triple that of Saudi Arabia.
To compare the minimum wage of Russia or Saudi Arabia with that of Nigeria is as senseless as placing the household of Dangote side by side with that of an overburdened vulcaniser struggling to provide for two wives and eleven children. That is foolishness. What’s the minimum wage in India? India population is 6 times that of Nigeria. You’re the one displaying foolishness. |

If I’m correct, based on what the presidency and some ministers posted as what they did in the UK during his visit.
1. Minister of education said he wants to bring a UK university certificate to Nigeria. 2. Zenith bank opened a branch in Manchester 3. UK wants to use Nigeria as deportation ground for illegal asylum seekers.
Are these what make the trip historic? |

Politics › Re: Petrol Price Per Litre Angola Vs Nigeria by Sheuns(m): 7:26am On Mar 19 |
lawani: Because it will amount to subsidy and subsidy has ended. The US is producing oil too and is not selling it cheaper at home. We don't need awoof. It benefits no one in the long run. Ask for any other thing but not oil awoof. If a small nation like Norway that produces as much oil as Nigeria is not doing subsidy, don't you think it is shameful for Nigeria of 220 million to be doing such? No subsidy yeah? Okay. Why can’t the government improve the standard of living of the people? Why can’t they make electricity stable? Most of the petrol and diesel bought at fueling stations are used to power generators for homes , businesses and factories. The governments before now that sold fuel at lower prices are not stupid. Buhari once said he doesn’t know what’s subsidy. Means he never paid anything of such during his time as military minister and head of state. There’s no country on earth right now that doesn’t do something that benefits all its citizens. Subsidy removal is a scam used by politicians to steal more from the people. No one forced any nation to sell crude at certain price to its citizens. It’s your oil. You can sell at whatever price you wish. |
|
Politics › Re: Petrol Price Per Litre Angola Vs Nigeria by Sheuns(m): 1:14am On Mar 19 |
lawani: They can't sell crude at below market rates as that would be subsidy and who told you they are selling crude at below market rates to the Angolan refinery? Stop this dead narrative. The federal government spends $0 in producing crude oil. They secure no production costs. Why can’t they set aside the amount required for local consumption and sell at below international market price to Dangote? Tell us why. |

Richtaiwo: This is the summary of what Sowore is saying:
Peter Obi is a fraud who carefully packaged himself as a clean, saint-like alternative to the political establishment while quietly operating within the same system he once condemned.
By associating with the very political actors and structures he previously criticized, the claim is that his “moral” image is largely political.
In conclusion, his opposition posture is essentially a facade used to deceive his supporters into believing he is a saint, even though he is actually worse that the politicians he criticises. You forgot to add that He said Tinubu, Wike and co are all thieves. |

Youth age is generally defined by the United Nations as individuals between the ages of 15 and 24, comprising about 1.8 billion people worldwide.
