So the US troops in Nigeria are just here doing nothing, they're only here eating nkwobi and drinking palm wine. Useless for nothing. Abeg carry your load and go back to your country if you can't provide intelligence and surveillance which you're supposed to provide.
The blame has now shifted to the US?

APC and its lackeys will blame everyone and everything but their incompetence.

Shame on you.
PoliticsRe: No One Supports Bola Ahmed Tinubu On The Basis Of Competence by Sheuns(m): 6:08am On Mar 10
Tinubu supporters are in only two categories.

1. Those that have benefited from him in one way or another.
2. Those that hope that by singing his praises, he’ll notice them and they’ll benefit.

Nigerian government and wanting to use every avenue to make profit.

Why would you charge a local company international freight fees to ship crude from within the same country?

I really detest political talks cuz you can hardly have a constructive one as people are affiliated to different parties. But I do think our politicians are the worst of shameless world over, bereft of ideological leanings and integrity
Politicians and political parties in Nigeria are not based on any ideology or principles.

What they’re all after is embezzlement and as they all say “align to the center”.

Only a few politicians don’t behave like that. Even though those ones too have something in common with the others, embezzlement.

Shame on the old generation. People of 60 years and above.
THEY ARE VERY RECKLESS AND DESTRUCTIVE GENERATION IN THIS COUNTRY.

THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE DESTRUCTIONS AND STATE OF THE COUNTRY.

During their Younger age, they met alot of things working and functional, but they destroyed everything.

Shame
I’m glad there’s someone seeing how reckless these so called older generations are.

They enjoyed a lot of things from the government and purposely destroyed those things they enjoyed for the younger generation. Yet they call the younger generation they do absolutely nothing for “entitled” and “lazy”.
Car TalkRe: A Litre Of Fuel Today Would Buy This Peugeot Car In 1977 by Sheuns(m): 4:22pm On Mar 09
Jayhome24:
Ok so during obj a car cost N1,800 or doing Gej a car cost N1,800?

Pls blame Nigeria Citizen they are the worst citizen of any country in the world. Even a pepper farmer will hike pepper price I mean pepper he or she planted on his/her backyard and if you ask why, he or she will tell you don't you hear petrol is cost in Iran?
Why won’t the pepper farmer hike the price of his product?

Will he use pepper for all his transactions?

Won’t he go out? If he has his own vehicle, won’t he buy fuel? If he doesn’t have a vehicle, won’t he pay public transportation?

The public transport he’ll enter will definitely hike its fare because of the sharp hike in petroleum price.

The pepper seller will buy garri, beans, pay his child’s fees and transport fare.

All he has to earn from is his pepper farm. He has no option than to hike the cost he sells his pepper for.

You all need to stop blaming the citizens for problems created by the useless people we have as leaders.

It did. Google is your friend. Abi make we bet??
Bring your facts. Crude oil never sold for $145 at any time during Obj’s tenure as both president and head of state.
PoliticsRe: What Does The Strait of Hormuz Have To Do With Nigeria's Rising Petrol Prices? by Sheuns(m): 11:54am On Mar 09
success1smyn:
Crude oil is a global commodity and its price is determined globally. A country can decide to refine it and sell it at any price to its citizens, and when it is sold below the actual cost, it means it is subsidized.
Subsidy in itself is not a bad thing, but there are several factors to consider, such as the population, how much oil the country produces, and the country's dependence on oil.
The reason fuel subsidy does not make much sense in Nigeria is that we are too dependent on oil and our population is very high compared to what we produce. This means we would end up using a large portion of our oil revenue to maintain the subsidy, leaving us with less money to do many other important things.
Reserving some part of what you have in your backyard for your family consumption and selling the excess is not subsidizing.

success1smyn:
The price of petrol is heavily subsidized in Iran. It's just about N40 per litre. Now do you want us to go back to the subsidy era? Do you think we can go back to subsidy era?
Why do you think it’s subsidized in Iran? That they chose to sell at such low price to their people doesn’t make it subsidized.

Fuel is basically cheaper than water in many Middle Eastern countries.
PoliticsRe: What Does The Strait of Hormuz Have To Do With Nigeria's Rising Petrol Prices? by Sheuns(m): 4:53am On Mar 09
integrity16:
you really haven't gotten it. Nigeria belong OPEC, and as a member of OPEC, they cannot sell crude below OPEC price, even the crude being sold to dangote, is sold in Naira equivalent of the international price. Another problem responsible to the fuel increase is that the naira for crude policy is inconsistent, that is the government have not been consistent in delievering that crude cargo to dangote forcing him to import crude from other sources, and he would definately buy them in current price approaching $100 dollar per barrel. so price increase in inevitable and then the solution to this is for government to have its own refinery even if its modular, maybe 1 modular refinery in each region of Nigera or better still return fuel subsidy.
OPEC doesn’t set crude oil prices.

OPEC doesn’t tell any country how much it should sell oil to its local market.

A country can decide to leave OPEC and sell at prices it wishes.

Russia, USA and European oil producers are not members of OPEC.

African oil producing countries, Venezuela and Arabs are those in OPEC. OPEC is filled with just 12 countries

lawani:
That is just an unnecessary complication. It is better to sell at market rate and also pay your workers competitive wages. It does not make sense to sell at two rates
Is 70,000 naira per month a competitive wage if you sell petrol to your people at international prices?
PoliticsRe: What Does The Strait of Hormuz Have To Do With Nigeria's Rising Petrol Prices? by Sheuns(m): 7:33pm On Mar 08
callthefred:
First, of all the 1.5m bbl we produce daily, govt only owns 60% of it. The companies who invested in oil exploration take 40%. Of the 60% like 30% had been sold by Buhari and those before him. So we basically have like 30% available for govt at all levels to share. Dangote is a private business so govt can't sell to him cheap especially when you consider bunkered Nigerians oil go as far as central African republic.

Unfortunately, this only means more cash for elections and decamping and less for governance. We've had these kind of opportunities in the past and we never made any meaning from it..OBJ sold oil at $145 for months yet we couldn't fix power our manufacturing sector. GEJ sold over $80 for months. Only Buhari with his badluck sold less than $60 for years. This is an opportunity to invest more in production but we won't, every arm of government will insist on sharing the money to steal it.
Oil prices never got to $145 under Obj. Stop the lies.
PoliticsRe: What Does The Strait of Hormuz Have To Do With Nigeria's Rising Petrol Prices? by Sheuns(m): 7:30pm On Mar 08
lawani:
If you are in business, do you sell lower to your friends and family members? Then a large portion of Nigerian crude is already pledged to pay debts. Also, if you sell lower to Dangote, that is going back to subsidy again and I personally don't support that. I believe and hope hostilities in the middle east will soon end because I read American analysts on Quora saying if Iran actually closes the straight of Hormuz then it can't be reopened in less than three to seven years and pms price will at least double
The purpose of government is to provide good governance to the people it govern and not make profit.

The federal government if they had a functional refinery are supposed to set aside a certain amount of crude that will cater for local consumption and has to be lower than what they sell to international markets.

That’s what Russia, Saudi Arabia and some other oil producers do.

Nigerians dont get it.

Bwala is not stupid. He knows he has absolutely nothing positive to say about tinubu and his administration. He is fully aware of his past comments about tinubu and he knows mehdi hasan will grill him to death based on those comments.

So why did he do the interview?

He did it because sometimes to seek favor or prove your loyalty to an elite group, you need to undergo a Humiliation Ritual. If you know, you know.

So mock him all you want but one thing is certain, while you will be busy struggling with insecurity, darkness and high cost of living, Bwala and his family will be experiencing heaven here on earth.
Naa. His family won’t experience heaven in earth.

No one experiences heaven in earth because no one has been to heaven and back on earth to tell us how life in heaven is.

PoliticsRe: Omokri, Bwala, FFK: From Tinubu’s Die Hard Critics To Converted Praise Singers by Sheuns(m): 9:21pm On Mar 07
My key concern is how men with zero integrity will teach their children about integrity.

Daniel Bwala utterly disgraced himself and his family during that interview.

He will look back at that day and have regrets.

His children may not be able to defend their father on his integrity in the future.

More than half the not aware statements were about things they claimed that he said. And the interview was so funny to everyone, from every side. Everyone took a funny jab including UK, US and even the Mehdi himself.
Statements they claimed he made or statements that he indeed made.

His performance was abysmal and the audience laughing as well as the anchor were laughing at Bwala’s two faced personality.

His face tells that of a disgraced man and a man filled with regrets on why he took that job.
