You justify a person that served as governor for max 8 years to get billions in retirement benefits but the cleaner that worked for 35 years should get a few millions that won’t even be paid to him at lump sum?

Teachers that gave their lives to serve for 35 years do not deserve decent retirement benefits?

Despite all the salaries and allowances the man made as governor, which is more than any teacher can make in 35 years by a large margin you still justify why he should take billions in pension?

Tinubu has shown that he’s incapable of providing good governance both as state governor and president. He’s only good at taxing the living day light out of the people and that’s the only thing he has constantly bragged about.

Governance isn’t only about revenue generation. Unfortunately for Tinubu, he’s not even creative about generating revenue. All he relies on is taxation. In a country with abundance of resources, you’re taxing the people to fund your lifestyle.

When they buy from the manufacturers, before the goods finally gets to the final consumer, the price triples. But if retailed to consumers, we get at a very fair price and even the manufacturer is at the advantage of making more turnover.

The government should ensure that factories that produce do not also get into retailing. It’s counter productive.

Distributors and retailers are very greedy. My friend bought an industrial VFD from China for 150K, the biggest industrial shop seller in Jos was charitable 400k as last price. I personally went to buy industrial solar lights ,I contacted a Chinese company rep in Benin Republic, he told me about the new model which is more efficient. Gave me his supply details in lagos. Meanwhile, suppliers in Jos were screaming nothing like new model . Lagos company plug connected me where I got new model cheaper than old model .

I purchase from China a lot. I do business with many Chinese. It’s my line of business.

I’ve seen this pattern in the cargo from China to Lagos. The Chinese companies came and eliminated almost all the Nigerian companies even though it was Nigerians that opened that route.

No Nigerian business can compete with the Chinese. Their government give them lots of money to establish businesses, especially in Africa.

You’ll see a 30 year old Chinese controlling a company worth millions of dollars, do you think his father is that wealthy? Their government gives them money. All companies in China are owned by government. It’s a communist state.

There’s what called OEM. The manufacturer in Asia by the trade laws is able to produce what you want in your branded name. His factory is probably a new factory that wants a market in Africa, particularly Nigeria. You purchase a twenty foot container to start with. You pay all the charges and deliver to your warehouse. You take your time to sell. Next time you purchase a forty foot. And then you move up to ten containers. The manufacturer begins to ask questions as he wants to expand his business, seeing that the goods are now well known in the market. He has a large factory and is able to produce one hundred containers monthly. He begins to target your country. In no time, you see those same goods, with different names in the market. He floods the market with the goods. He delays your production. He is able to produce one hundred containers to flood the market monthly at cheaper rates. He gives you higher rates for the few containers that you buy. He employs more workers in his factory. He visits Nigeria, bringing along with him one or two sales persons and they remain here. The Nigerians lose grounds, shops close and they are out of business because of the unfair practices of Asians. That’s the issue.

A simple example is China to Nigeria cargo shipping. Nigerians originally started it back then and many of the shipping companies from China to Lagos were Nigerian owned businesses. The Chinese came into it and have wiped out almost all the Nigerian shipping companies. The Chinese have big financial war chests that no single business in Nigeria can compete with.

Let them keep supporting nonsense till Chinese control every nerve of the economy.

I watched the entire thing and no where did I hear him mention how subsidies issue would be solved.
