If $20k is shared to SMEs in all 37 states, you’ll reach a total of 50k SMEs. If each SME employs 5 people that’ll translate to 250k direct jobs. Repeat this about twice a year and in 4 years, you would have created 2 million direct jobs and several millions indirect jobs while also creating an economy that’s booming.

We didn’t have religion, what we had was idolatry that was gate kept by a very few people. Islam and Christianity was easily adopted by the people because it offered a different path and direct connection with God. You practically don’t need any priest to do any prayers or offerings on your behalf before you can reach God.

But in terms of spirituality in general, Africa was largely lacking in deep spirituality at a personal level. This is exactly why it was easier for Africans to migrate toward Islam and Christianity which offered daily prayer rituals and texts to commune and understand your God. Most people usually advocating for a return to African spirituality do so out of ignorance

Return of subsidies won't reflect on market price immediately or might never return at all and even it it does maybe only few commodities. Transport fare would only go down by N100 only within states and interstates won't go back to any reasonable affordable price..

So tinubu didn't do anything about education when he was gov,the mega schools are still standing till today he was the first to offer free WAEC and NECO for students in the entir 4th republic.books,uniforms,desks and chairs whi h used to be bought by students was made free........till today transportation for students on public buses still remains free,it was started by tinubu and a lot of his party's office holders within the state introduced free bus rides for students.

The spelling bee introduced by his wife was won by an igbo student and was made 1 day gov which is a tradition made during his tenure and still runs till this day.

He gave lasuth the current location they are now which used to be ikeja general hospital long before obi became gov earning the school the prestige and honour it still enjoys today.

My elder brother schooled in Lagos owned secondary school when Tinubu was governor and I can confirm that no seat was offered to students for free during that era, it was common practice then for students to bring chairs and desks from their owns to school.

What Tinubu paid for were NECO fees only. It was Fashola that started paying for both WAEC and NECO.

Pls there was nothing like free transportation for students during Tinubu’s time and even now. It’s only a few local government chairmen that did that and it’s already no longer there.

This is a roadside argument peddled by a whole presidential candidate. Pegging a margin of $15 is in itself a subsidy. Now that oil is selling at $90, his formula means it'd be sold to the refiner at $45 essentially a subsidy of $45. I don't want to even delve into to the unit cost of production or even the federation share of oil revenue.

One can argue to have subsidies back but deceiving innocent Nigerians that subsidy is an accounting magic

Countries like Canada, USA and the UK where most Nigerians like to japa do not subsidize fuel for their citizens. Canada has more fuel, more refineries and a significantly lower population yet would not subsidize fuel.

When we borrow from the world bank and IMF to pay fuel subsidy, we inadvertently borrow from these countries. It's like a broke man going to borrow money to pay his children school fees in babcock from his wealthy neighbour whose kids attend unilag.

This stopped making sense to these organizations so they refused to lend to Nigeria anymore, hence the need for Buhari to print money and borrow directly from countries with future oil production. If fuel subsidy returns, it won't be sustainable for long and would need to be removed again.

Tinubu caught everyone by surprise with the removal, this time wealthy people will stock up on fuel and food for the eventual re-removal. People will have reservoirs and warehouses, the poor people who think their lives were better with subsidy can be likened to the beggars who are satisfied with eating the crumbs that fall from the wealthy man's plate.

Those countries you mentioned subsidize other vital things for their people. E.g the United States subsidizes food production with approx $40bn annually. Why didn’t you mention that?
