What develops a nation isn’t only population but quality of people in that population.

If it’s by population, Nigeria should be more developed than Singapore but that’s not the case. Singapore is about 6 million people. That’s barely more than the population of Katsina.

Do you know that in 1955, Nigeria was still under colonial rule? Do you know that revenue distribution was done strictly on what every region generated? May I ask what files or link do you have to back these figures you quoted each region generated in the said year? The highest contributor to the national revenue during the British rule was the Lagos colony. And the Lagos colony was a standalone colony from the Western Region?

The problem is the unequal distribution of wealth which leaves some financially handicapped and less informed, while some others are rich and eating fat.
