The competition in the smartphone market just keeps getting stronger and better. Vivo a Chinese based company released their flagship the 'Vivo XPlay 3S' with a whooping 2K display the highest display of any phone released in 2013. Vivo has been known for their good qualities phones and is also one of the best smartphone companies in China. The 6" device which has a screen display of 1440×2560 of resolution otherwise known as 2K display and pixel density of 490ppi is based on Android 4.3 OS. The beast also boasts a Qualcomm snapdragon 800 MSM8974AB quad core processor powered by a 2.3Ghz krait running on 3gb of RAM. It has a rear camera of 13MP with aperture 1.8' capable of shooting HD videos, at the front is a 5MP 1080p camera for video calls. Its Adreno 330 GPU also gives it a very good graphical display. It is powered by a 3200mAh of battery life. It is already available for sale and is priced at $576.

Core simply means the processing power of ur device. And the exynos octa core is not true octave core. Don't wanna go Into further details u can Google Samsung exynos octa core to learn more. And what do u love doing most with ur device I mean like gaming, snapping and some other stuffs. Knowing wat u love most wud help u get the device DAT suits or style. Size also matters.

Having held both phones ie the p2 and p5 I can tell that they are both good phones for their price range.
I would like to give a review of my own opinion on both phones. I am nothing not saying which is better than which; you will decide which suits you.
Build: I think the build of the p2 is way better of the p5. The p2 has a lighter and more comfortable in the palm and sleeker body when compared to the p5 which looks bulkier.
Internal
OS both devices use android 4.2.2 but gionee built a very beautiful ui for the p2. Tecno on the other hand decided to use stock android with just some little touches. And Gionee has OTA upgrade for the p2 and that means a higher version of android could be ported to the phone in the future. And this made the p2 have an edge over the P5.
RAM/ROM: Both devices have 512MB of ram with ROM of 4GB. That makes them even on that aspect.
Both devices run on dual core processors clocked at 1.3Ghz speed. Another tie here.
Camera: the p2 has a rear camera of 5.0MP and 0.3MP but the camera does not do so well when snapping in low light areas. On the other hand the p5
also has a 5.0MP rear camera and a 2.0MP front camera. In my own opinion I think the p5 camera takes better pictures than the p2. So here I think p5 won.
Battery backup: both phones have good battery backup when fully charged I think both phones last up to 12 hours on average usage. I mean standby, making calls, browsing and maybe a little gaming.
NB this is my own review on both phones. I'm not saying this is the better one you will choose whichever suits you.

TECNO really needs to be creative probably build a ROM rather than using android stock ROM.

I think tecno lack business idea. If they really want to battle gionee's p2 they could have just added a lil bit o spice to the p5 like a 4.3" screen with a better diplay and probably a 1GB ram. If they had done that then the p5 could have written off the gionee p2. NO OFFENCE HERE ON THE TECNO GUYS just voicing my opinion.

Dis fone is so not cool 5.7" screen for that kind of resolution?.... they must be kidding. They keep releasing fones of same specs but litte diffs. They really need to get serious and into the competition with other chinese smartphones manufacturers.

Personally I dont like this so called ASUU or wateva they might be. Ever since they have been striking over the years their main aim of striking is to increase their salaries dat's what is always prior to them, they talk less of the AFFECTED ie the students. When they are on this strike they do not work rather sit at home or some of them that have businesses of their own wil have enough time to face it. By the end of the month they will receive alerts that their salaries (that they did not work for) has been paid. I think the best thing to do is to dissolve ASUU and let each universities in the nation be left to run individually. This can only be possible if the students say YES for ASUU to be gone. I rest my case.
