GardenOfGod:They have to resign before the actual date of the Primaries…that’s all. The Primaries must be completed well before June 3rd….according to INEC timetable. |
Donshegxy10:They can also give up the idea of contesting altogether…if they do not want to resign. You cannot eat your cake and have it! |
Luckytechtv:The political appointee must have resigned before he can be voted for….which means they must ALL have left their jobs before the dates of the Convention or Primaries! |
kayuseful:No Sir….it became binding the day it was signed and became Law! |
Truthisunique2:Does APC belong to Buni’s family that he must agree with everything before things can happen? Somebody put him there and he can also be taken out anytime! |
Malory:It’s not a matter of being young or old. A youth can be barren of ideas and be using the office to pursue women (like Bill Clinton or Yahaya Bello with 3 wives) Again, someone like Paul Biya (89 yrs) is demonstrating relative peace and progress in Cameroon. Also, Akufo-Addo of Ghana (nearly 78yrs) is performing creditably well and leading other African presidents in terms of achievements!May the best man (who knows how to get things done) win the Presidency in 2023….that should be our prayer! |
Malory:You’re either upright or you’re not. When your time comes to be judged by your Maker concerning His Commandment: ”Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbour”…..you cannot say you were only playing politics. That’s how even otherwise good people end up in Hell. |
Malory:You could have fooled me! ![]() So, you don’t know what a metaphor is? If you speak Yoruba, go and listen again to his statement and then come back here to tell us you’re an upright person! |
Malory:Are you the mouthpiece of the mods?? They will ban you first for making untrue assertions to tarnish other people’s image. We need honest, truthful and upright human beings here….you’re not one of them!! |
Antoeni:…all the votes cast for Umahi belonged to the party PDP. We do not have “independent candidates” contesting elections in Nigeria yet…..unlike in the USA. Maybe in another 20 years of practising this democracy! |
Moferere:He was merely making noise for nothing…instead of trying to stay the Judgment through an Appeal, before INEC withdraws his Certificate of Return. Some people just like to play to the gallery…! |
Malory:When did the APC National Leader say he will fight dirty? He used the metaphor of “when fighting a pig, you should be prepared to be dirtied” by unscrupulous people like YOU. Is that the same thing as saying he will fight dirty? Get your facts right, my friend! |
politicoNG:This is not about making noise. If there’s a Court Order, it must be obeyed unless action is taken to obtain another Order to stay the first one. Umahi can make noise and play to the gallery as much as he wants. INEC will soon cancel his Certificate….unless he gets the necessary Court Injunctions, he’s just making noise for nothing! |
MikoB:Why can’t he disappoint them? Was it the millions of Nigerians that brought him out of obscurity to be Buhari’s running mate in 2015? How many of those millions knew about Osinbajo before then? They’re just shouting his name for selfish reasons. No one truly cares about Osinbajo as a person….they’re just looking for a “fall guy”….Nothing else! Already, they’re referring to Osinbajo as the person responsible for managing the woeful “economy”….is that something to celebrate? From N200 : $1…. down to N500 : $1….all under Buhari / Emefiele’s watch. Osinbajo should distance himself from these leeches that call themselves leaders….they do not mean well. Let them keep their Presidency of a country that’s already falling apart (with bandits, kidnappers & killers all over the place)…. Shior!! |
RahmanJAobo:Your comments seem more condemning of the Yoruba actions than Igbo. You could have fooled me! ![]() |
Arkmanbuddy:Aregbe must be planning to team up with Osinbajo in the belief that Tinubu will not get the ticket. Maybe he knows something the rest of us do not know….so he may still be fine politically if Osinbajo clinches the ticket. Hwvr, whichever way it pans out, Aregbe is as good as finished in LAGOS….he should just go and sell his house in Lagos, if he has one there!! ![]() |
RahmanJAobo:That’s fine, no problem….after all, we’re supposed to be practising “One Nigeria”, so anyone can live anywhere without harassment. The Yoruba even welcome people like YOU who hate Yoruba people in their midst….that’s called tolerance and brotherliness! One thing though, you cannot say you want to be President of Nigeria one day, and the next day, you want to stand alone as Biafra. Which one you dey? You cannot eat your cake and have it! |
RahmanJAobo:YEAH….after sending over a million women and children to their early death. You think you have something to be proud of? No one envies your position my friend. Use your brains! |
RahmanJAobo:….and what did Brawns fetch you? A bloody Civil War that you’re yet to recover from after 55 years. Use your brain my friend! ![]() |
Odewaleadesoye:What rubbish is this guy talking? He has not been released, he was released….. Can’t he word his sentence more correctly as a lawyer? ![]() |
RahmanJAobo:Brains trump Brawns anyday…..think about that! |
RahmanJAobo: |
RahmanJAobo:MKO was a politician and not a freedom fighter. What does the word ‘betray’ mean in politics and which Elder’s actions can be said to be representative of the Yoruba as a people? When was such a mandate given to any Elder or group of persons? Anyway, is that the justification for not using your brains (also called diplomacy) to get Kanu out? Face your own matter my friend! |
RahmanJAobo:MKO’s case is completely different from that of Igboho. MKO was not fighting a Yoruba Cause as Igboho was. Just as Kanu’s sacrifice cannot be confused with Ekwueme’s maltreatment & suffering after Buhari’s coup in 1983. Try to be clear on the distinction! Point is….they got their Hero out through peaceful means….that still stands. Try to do the same for the one you call “Another Saviour”….after all, he’s laying his life down for you guys! |
RahmanJAobo:….but they got their Hero out through peaceful means. Brain trumps Brawns my friend….try to use your brain for a change! ![]() |
Entprys:Your case is like the ‘Hand of Esau but the Voice of Jacob’. You don’t fool anyone. The true sons of Oduduwa appreciate the sacrifice Igboho has made on their behalf. If I were you, I’ll concentrate on how to get Kanu out instead of trying to cause confusion among Yoruba people. Shame on you! |
PrinceOfLagos:How does stopping Tinubu help you put fuel in your car?… that’s assuming you even have one. How does it help you build that ancestral land in your village that was allocated to you several years ago? You just keep shouting Tinubu as if he’s the cause of your unprogressive existence! ![]() |
Frigga13:Attacking Buni is attacking Mr President? You think Buni is not plotting his own survival and making personal enemies for himself? ….well, read This Day’s headlines 7/3/22….it appears Buni has just been sacked! |
TheRareGem1:This does not mean he handed over to Osinbajo. He merely said what obtains as per the Constitution but he also said he’s aware of everything that goes on in his absence. He has travelled on numerous occasions without handing over to him (depending on how long he’s away for) ….this may not be an exception! |
klimkid:….you expect him to be a miracle worker eh? We know he was a part-time Pastor before but surely not a Healer of collapsing nations! |
tit:Oh yeah? Is this not like running away while there’s fire on the Mountain? He’s supposed to be the Minister for Petroleum and there’s fuel scarcity all over the country….is this the time to travel for medical check up? Greatest President indeed!….looks more like he’s greatest at passing the buck! |
