MadamVanessa:I guess you feel that you must add your own salt & pepper to make it complete eh? ….urinate and defecate? Were you there to corroborate this claim? Better not put coal fire on your own head by declaring things you did not witness ….it is the surest way of finding yourself in Hell. It is bad enough that the fate you had woven for yourself had put you in NIGERIA, but there are still worse places on Earth. So, better to sow good seeds that could land you in Buckingham Palace next time. Remember: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour! |
FERNANDEZISBACK:Hmmmm….this how a Third World War can easily start. If Ukraine’s request is granted, then further attack on the country can be construed as an attack on the EU as a block. Next thing, they will accept the country into NATO which is a military defence pact…..say no more! |
olas24u:Firstly, is that a legal way of making his billions that he can declare to the EFCC?…..secondly, is it fair on the masses who are not so privileged to have the same inside information?! |
oilPUSSY:So, where did the money come from?….after all he’s supposed to be a salaried man as Governor of Central Bank. Even his previous employment as MD of a bank was salaried. Surely, EFCC will need to have a chat with him to be clear! |
BeeBeeOoh:These claims can easily be fact-checked…..no sensible person will lie about such things. If anyone doubts the veracity of the claims, you can easily investigate these to ascertain the truth about the claimed shareholdings! |
ohiku4every1:Middle Belt is North Central as far as the demarcation of the six regions in Nigeria is concerned. When it suits them, they say they are part of the North but when it doesn’t, they say they’re Middle Beltans. Jokers! ![]() |
Nwodosis:It would not be correct to say their offence is simply their tribe. What is it about their tribe that stands out so negatively to make people be averse or antagonistic towards them?….to the point of not wanting to associate or co-exist with them? There is absolutely Nothing! So, one cannot subscribe to the notion that it simply has to do with their “tribe”. Could the problem be traced to a domineering mindset or other attitudinal faults when relating to other groups within the multi-cultural setting? One cannot but wonder about this! However, the earlier the real issue is identified and genuinely addressed, the better for everyone! In the 1950s and early 1960s, all the tribes were co-existing as brothers and sisters without any issues. Nnamdi Azikiwe’s NCNC once won an election in the Western region even though people knew he was Igbo. So, what happened afterwards that led to mutual aversion among the tribes? ![]() Anyway, one cannot compare such ‘tribalism’ based on ‘attitudinal fault lines’ to RACISM which simply dislikes or rejects purely on the colour of one’s skin, be you king, gentile or even a Saint! |
Mooh247:It is believed that the Clause is only referring to those holding Political Offices held By Appointment and not by Election. Otherwise Governors, the VP and even the President seeking re-election for second term would have to resign their positions before they can re-contest! |
Hisbah21:And so what? What do they make adult diapers for? Even your current President may be wearing it. Do you know how many of the Elders in your village are wearing them? Respect your elders. Your time too is not far off….or are you praying for it to come early? ![]() |
Blablamalala:He speaks his mind….couldn’t care less what others think about him. Wailers can wail till doomsday! ![]() |
Zonefree:Civilian Presidents are not elected to physically fight in a war. What are the Generals and professional soldiers there for? Even President Buhari who is a General has shown himself to be powerless against Boko Haram and the bandits…..our Security is presently at the worst state since Nigeria’s independence. When people talk about ‘capacity to govern’, this does not entail physically fighting in wars! |
Themandator:All the aspirants will step down….are you joking? Some people will rather die than do that. Some of the Presidential aspirants fought IBB and his brother Abacha to a standstill….so Buhari’s partisanship means nothing to them. Nigerians are no longer thinking like people living in a banana republic. You saw how the CSO just went on protest to force the signing of the Electoral Amendment Bill into law……the guy was vacillating and was not willing to sign but he had to in the end…otherwise the veto would have been countered. Just keep watching the movie! |
TCD:True talk, if it’s South Africa where they hate their fellow African brothers and want to kill them for suya, better to think twice o! ![]() |
Themandator:True, but don’t forget that the House of Reps members (360 of them) are also going to be delegates…not just governors or those that can be teleguided by Buhari. The House of Reps inserted that Clause that every aspirant must agree in writing for a genuine Consensus to take place! How did Obasanjo lose his third term bid?….they sabotaged it at the National Assembly. The President does not always have his way! Even, the Party positions that he virtually dictated is already being questioned openly by some aspirants who said they have been campaigning for the past one year….they can still throw a spanner in the works at the Convention venue! |
BlazinGlory40:It’s a qualified Consensus….requires that every one of the aspirants must agree in writing otherwise no deal. Can you envisage a situation where every aspirant agrees to surrender for another man to take the Prize in this Nigeria? It will require a Miracle! |
Rajiolaade:Why do people always think of evil ways to sabotage the system? Small time now they will say they’re candidates for Heaven when it’s time to depart ….not knowing that our works (thoughts, words and deed) must follow us….and such evil things cannot enter Heaven! |
Realdeals:It also means Presidential primaries are most likely to be conducted using INDIRECT mode …..because Consensus don get K leg now since every presidential aspirant must agree in writing before a Consensus candidate can emerge. This is good for Nigerian democracy. No more Buhari anointed somebody…..the people or their representatives must now choose! |
AdaNri1:It means Presidential primaries are most likely to be conducted using INDIRECT mode …..because Consensus don get K leg now since every presidential aspirant must agree in writing before a Consensus candidate can emerge. Drsnives:That is because they place a high premium on LIFE…..it is a mark of spiritual maturity. You cannot give Life, so you should not take life or put another’s life in jeopardy. Some people call themselves Christians and shout the Name of Jesus all over the place but do not heed the Commandments of the Lord. One of them clearly states: Thou Shalt Not Kill. The more noble and evolved you become spiritually, the more you appreciate the Grace of the Creator that granted you LIFE. In fact, all living things become sacred and you will dare not take life unless it is necessary for your own survival or protection. So, think again before taking a great attribute for weakness. It takes a lot of inner Strength to maintain self-control and to resist Evil. |
MadamVanessa:Just keep digging your own grave spiritually…..Remember: Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbour! |
christejames:No worries, the diaper will soak wella wella this time….thunder does not strike same place twice! ![]() Hwvr, if I were you I would worry more about all the sleepy presidential aspirants from the South East…..do they expect it to be given to them on a platter of gold? It doesn’t work like that o….they’ll all end up by the wayside while debating which make of diaper Tinubu is wearing! ![]() That’s what the guy meant when he said he’s ready to get “dirtied” (i.e. abused, insulted, derided, etc) while keeping his eyes fixed on the goal….because he knows he’s fighting with pigs! |
Truthisunique2:First off, I do not recall coming to your house to borrow a pair of eyes with which to see….and I’m already a full grown adult. So, I must have been managing somehow without your help. So, pls learn to make your arguments without being insulting….it would be no less acceptable! Secondly, the consensus being introduced by Buhari and his cohorts into the Electoral Bill now carries a “Rider” that ALL the interested parties must agree in writing to such selection, so this has to be a genuine Consensus not a position dictated by the tin-god Buhari or any other autocrat. People are not stupid…that’s one of the reasons he has not mustered the courage to sign the Bill up to now! Lastly, the NWC of the Party cannot stop anyone from any part of the Country from contesting….just as nobody stopped Okorocha, Oshiomole and Kwankwaso from contesting alongside Buhari in 2015….whether or not there is consensus in the Electoral Law, it cannot deprive people of their fundamental right of participation….they cannot refuse to sell you the form or collect millions of Naira for the form and deny you participation on the day of the event. Such idea of Consensus only works as long as the entirety of the interested parties are willing to work with it. So, this idea of micro-zoning during Primaries is not going to be feasible as was done for Party offices! No need to argue the matter. We should just get ourselves comfortable chairs to watch the movie. It promises to be an eye-opener! |
Truthisunique2:You are looking at things purely from a narrow perspective of self-interest. Did Buhari obtain the APC ticket through micro-zoning to the North West in 2015? The answer is No. He contested for it with Oshiomole, Kwankwaso, Okorocha and others….and he got the highest number of votes. That’s how presidential and governorship tickets are secured in Primaries….not by dictation from some Almighty Buhari in the name of consensus! Any attempt to refuse others the right to contest will end in a myriad of litigations with possibility of the party losing the election. Do not confuse it with Party offices or positions when one man can simply dictate his choice to the party members! |
Mynd44:Good point! What about our SouthSouth guy displaying Daura turban all over the place….has he not declared yet? Maybe they will spring him last minute as the concensus joker! ![]() |
Truthisunique2:Can the NWC of the party micro-zone the Presidentail ticket to any region within the South? I doubt if they will dare do that! Who is going to vote for them if they sideline the real voters in choosing the flag-bearer of the party? Is it only the voters in the micro-zoned area that will vote? We are not talking of Party positions, my friend! Remember what happened in Anambra State when the unpopular APC governorship aspirant (Ubah) was left in the lurch looking for the voters who supposedly voted in the primaries to select him (which was just a ruse…..a contrived primaries). I bet you, if they try to micro-zone the APC presidencial ticket, APC will definitely lose. Mark my words!! |
PrinceOfLagos:It will never happen. Don’t you people have any shame….APC called someone useless less than 4 years ago and they will now eat their vomit by inviting him to come and lead a party that was formed to remove him. I guess you will now call Deziani back as Petroleum Minister to come and loot some more. Shameless people! ![]() |
drlateef:Nice one! They’re soooo myopic in their thinking! ![]() |
LegendHero:Indeed, Fashola is a tried and tested man and humble too. Do you think he doesn’t want to be President?…..but do you hear him making noises like the Latter Day Pastor turned politician who is yet to demonstrate any ability to cope with fire on the mountain? ![]() |
Pravedk:The bulk of the delegates are members of the National Assembly. Some of their leaders already declared for Tinubu whilst he was in London. If it’s indirect primaries, it’s almost certain Tinubu will win. If they try to dribble him through Consensus for another individual, he will almost certainly leave the APC for another party! |
Omoodua007:…..that’s what your so-called Owners of Nigeria have fed the masses with. Remember, Religion they say is the opium of the masses. You are allowing them to play with your minds….hence they manipulate even your “thoughts”. We are supposed to be ‘human beings with freewill’ for heavens sake not hot-house plants. People should break free in their thinking, in their mindset and put greater emphasis on what improves their lives. So, when the Ownersof Nigeria come to make their noises about Religion next time, you can boldly tell them to Piss Off! |
Omoodua007:….Owners of Nigeria? Have they given you light in your homes? Have they provided the basic necessities of life for your family? So, where is your individuality? If each person expresses what he feels is right, how can any elitist group claim to be Owners of Nigeria? So, they own your minds too because you allow them to play games with your mind by introducing things like Religion ….the opium of the masses! Personally, I do not give a sh!t whether two Christians or two Muslims govern Lagos or any other place for that matter! I do not allow third parties to play with my mind…..and the masses should learn to resist this tendency if they ever wish to be Free! |
Omoodua007:Honestly, a people truly deserve whatever sh!t they find themselves in. Just imagine the inconsequential considerations that are being put on the front burner in the 21st century task of nation-building. Is it any wonder that the whole country is in virtual darkness? No jobs for graduates, dollar equates to 500 Naira and people are talking about Religion in choosing who governs them! ![]() |
