Sannisege: In fact all the Christian Northern APC Bigwigs are from North East. Boss Mustapha, Babachir David Lawal and Dogara. Any of these can be Tinubu's running mate. So your argument doesn't hold water. As for Zulum, Shettima the former governor of Borno will get the VP slot before Zulum. Very good point! I believe Dogara has since switched to APC which makes him a good ‘youthful’ prospect. Boss Mustapha is also a good administrator but already in the latter part of his sixties. Either of these two guys would be great for Baba Tinubu if he scales through! |

Doesn’t that already tell you how he rates Obasanjo’s endorsement? It is totally of no consequence who the old man supports or does not support. Has Obasanjo himself ever won a free and fair election in Nigeria? He was simply imposed on Nigerians by the so-called Owners of Nigeria at that time. Look around you in Nature, do you see anything at rest? Everything is in perpetual motion because Motion is a Law of Creation. Even the trees and stones that appear to be static or in permanent rest have constituents that are in constant motion within them. So, when you tell the departed to Rest In Peace, you’re actually cursing them or wishing them ill….because Nothing is at rest in the entire Creation! So, don’t ask Tinubu to go and rest pls….the moment he chooses to rest, he’s as good as dead. As a testament to the fact that even tinubu wife complained bitterly how his husband was sidelined from 2015 to 2018 when those guys left. Tinubu was beaten squarely by those guys that he was only compensated with ministerial appointments so I can boldly say they sat Tinubu's down then. When half of dem left in 2018, buhari didn't find it easy in 2019. Just imagined it they all left? Amechi, Adamu that buhari is projecting for APC national chairman was also part of the new PDP den, any thing that made that man becomes the new chairman of APC, Amechi or anyone else from nPDP that remains will be the next APC Presidential candidate. Bet it That’ll mark the end of APC, because they will lose the election, even with their rigging machine. Devil1Messenger: U brought the issue of merger and I explained to u that the merger that formed APC wasn't just CPC and ACN but it was a collection of different parties namely ANPP that brought 2 states, ACN brought 5stats, nPDP brought 6states, CPC brought 1, APGA brought 1. Those were the official parties that formed APC in 2014. Maybe because I didn't break it down that's why u are still confused. Please go back to 2014 to confirmed. I only digress a little to tell u that among these parties that formed APC, the nPDP were the more influential in making buhari president and not the ACN blocks. I even digress by telling u that why 6govs from nPDP officially joined the merger in 2014, some of other PDP govs stayed back to destabilized PDP from within. Ok to tell you how influential the nPDP guys was then, during the election of principal officers in the national assembly after the election, they were the ones that controlled the main seats defeating ACN guys. Tinubu can only make noise in APC because some of those guys have left. Atiku, kwakwaso, saraki etc can't be in d same party with tinubu and tinubu will be making noise. They will seat him down. Hope u get my point now? You’re not saying anything new. Why did Atiku, Kwankwaso,Tambuwal and Saraki leave APC? ... It’s because they had no permanent stake in the Merger and were only there for purely selfish reasons. They were just individual loafers with no party structure to lay claim to.... that’s why they could just pack their bags to leave. Now you want to compare these loafers to Tinubu who came with a registered party he had laboured for several years to build up from AD to ACN with several governors and virtually the entire SW under his leadership. I wonder who is in a position to sit the other down for a lecture about APC as you stated? Those guys were loafers and they remain loafers...even today they remain inconsequential fair-weather politicians!! |

Devil1Messenger: Let me make a clearer picture of what happened in 2015 to you. Yes he brought 5 states with a combined votes of not upto 2million. Yes he tried. Now in 2015, Amechi was the gov of river state and chairman of Nigeria govs forum and he relinquished his state to APC. Babagida Aliu was the gov of Niger state and chairman northern gov forum, he didn't decamped to APC but was a mole in PDP then of which he still says till today that he worked for APC in 2015 why he was in PDP. Saraki was the Senate president and he made gov Ahmed the gov of kwara state then so they both decamped to APC, tambuwal was speaker of house of rep and wamako was sokoto state gov( they are both from sokoto) they decamped to APC, adamawa, bauchi, jigawa, etc govs den they all followed the nPDP den and decamped to APC. Dakwabo stay back in PDP to act as a mole. The list is endless my guy . Even buhari knows all these. Amechi might not have delivered river state but the money he brought was just too much. Tinubu can only claim a little credit in 2019. But u see 2015, he only played a part my dear No point in going further into this as we have differing perceptions on the issue. You simply do not understand the concept of Merger and what it entails but keep citing contributions of certain individuals who have since taken to their heels because they had nothing permanent at stake, while the true Merger partners appreciate the near permanence of the relationship and are therefore showing greater commitment! |

2. Dakwabo was the gov of gombe state then. Tambuwal was speaker of house of rep along side gov wamako who was sokoto state gov den. Saraki was a god in kwara state then, he controlled gov Ahmed. Atiku control adamawa which u can testify that wen he left the state went back to PDP. Kwakwaso owes kano which u can testify that wen he left it became difficult for APC to win even with federal might. Do u want me to continue listing them for U? Mind u o, votes in South west was almost shared equally between APC and PDP as compared to over 80 to 90% the norths brought to the table. Do u still want more proves that tinubu only play a part and not a major role He played a critical role by bringing five governors to the Merger! Do you know what a Merger is? ….it means completely giving up your own identity and showing the willingness to subsume your personal preferences under someone else’s dictation. It was a major sacrifice ….which he may even be regretting now considering the way he’s being treated. You are merely talking about individual influences which may also count for something as every support is worthy of note but all those individual contributions are as Nothing when it comes to birthing a new enterprise or organisation. Adamawa(atiku), kano(kwakwaso), kaduna(elrufia), kwara(saraki), nasarawa (babagida Aliu), gombe(dakwabo), jigawa(sule lamido) etc should I continue naming them for U The private jet that ferried buhari to APC primaries was provided by Amechi den. Please calculate the % of votes tinubu brought to the table, then we can begin our discussion Your claim that nPDP controlled all the listed States is disputable! Was Saraki controlling Kwara then? Was Atiku controlling Adamawa? Was Tambuwal controlling Sokoto? Was El Rufai controlling Kaduna, etc. These guys were influential “individuals” not necessarily in control of the political machinery of the State which had their own opinionated governors (not stooges). You should talk about the political party Merger that formed APC (which parties merged and how many governors did they bring into the merger) ….not about individuals who provided private jet to ferry someone! |

Why is okorocha APGA not being mentioned? 80% of the finances they used in 2015 came from New PDP guys. Atiku, Amechi, Kwakwaso, Saraki, Babagida Aliu, etc. 70% of the votes buhari got came from the New PDP guys. Adamawa, kaduna, kano, katsina, borno, etc Why are u people making it as if it was Tinubu that made him president, when actually it was the new nPDP guys. U guys think buhari doesn't know all these? Without the nPDP guys, buhari will never have become president. That's the fact except u were not in Nigeria in 2015. How many States did nPDP bring to the table in 2015? The nPDP joiners were mostly “individuals” who only contributed moral support as opposed to financial support. Where were they to get the money from? Consensus as a tool can be used positively or negatively…depending on where you stand. Why do people think that Buhari would choose to be such an Ingrate towards someone who gave you a lifeline after you had failed three times. The Consensus, if it’s ever used, can equally be deployed in favour of Tinubu rather than against him. It would be too blatantly unjust to use Consensus against Tinubu….if they really don’t want him, they would prefer if he loses in a free and fair contest as in Direct/Indirect Primaries. Omicron007: It is no longer news that the former Vice-President of Nigeria and the PDP's Presidential flag bearer in the 2019 Presidential election has once again thrown his hat into the ring by declaring to contest for the Presidential elections next year.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a popular politician from Adamawa State in North-Eastern Nigeria. He is also an astute business man with investments in different parts of the country.
In 2019, he contested alongside Mr.Peter Obi. Obi is a former two-term governor of Anambra State. However, as the race for 2023 thickens, some Nigerians expect Mr.Peter Obi to give the presidency a shot.
Recently, I created a thread concerning who might likely be Tinubu's running mate. https://www.nairaland.com/6942591/2023-think-should-tinubus-running
The question now is this: Who might likely be Atiku's running mate in the 2023 Presidential Elections? What running mate and ….where are they running to? FreeStuffsNG: Game on! All we want is politics without bitterness.
I suspect that PDP Presidential ticket will be won by him.
On the mandate of Asiwaju Tinubu I stand.
Dear Patriotic Nigerian and lover of Nigeria, this is just to let you know why Asiwaju Tinubu towers far above HE Atiku and others and state few of the reasons why Asiwaju Tinubu is competent and the most prepared. I may need to take you down memory lane of his account of stewardship in public office sirs and mas.
As the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu recovered what is now called Eko Atlantic from the raging Atlantic ocean Lagos Bar beach coast line flooding (for decades that problem even some of the more developed nations explain away as climate change problems) defied all solutions by FG and the highbrow strategic Victoria Island was deteriorating fast with businesses, embassies, hotels etc exiting VI in droves. During that time, the Atlantic ocean flooding reach the fringes of Ozumba after the flood completely take over Adetokunbo Ademola. Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.
It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.
Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see was created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.
Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returned missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgraded most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .
The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries. When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaji Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.
Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos . One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.
That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, create Tutors General offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc. I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir/ma
That's why my appeal goes to you my fellow patriotic Nigerians to please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Please vote for Asiwaju Tinubu. Here's free book on business ideas & money sources directory for you,it's 100% free! https://www.nairaland.com/6666800/looking-business-ideas-money-fund. Cheers. All the positive achievements of Asiwaju are well noted. They are indeed landmark achievements….he has done well for his people, his State and the country in general. Two issues for you to reflect upon…. firstly, with the huge demand the work of the Presidency will make on Asiwaju’s health, do you see him doing the full 8 years?…..if not, (and if he ends up doing just 4 years) it’s clear that he and his supporters would have short-changed the Yoruba race….just like Yar Adua ended up short-changing the North with his premature passing and the eventual takeover by Jonathan (from SS). You can already see the writing on the wall but you refuse to be guided by it. When the predictable happens, will you then start screaming for Oduduwa Republic?! Secondly, you have his fellow kinsman whom he has mentored over the years, in the person of VP Osinbajo, who is younger and looks healthier and intellectually astute, why insist on fielding the sickly Asiwaju just for the sake of vain-gloriousness? Do you really have the interest of the Yoruba race at heart? |
