The federal government needs to understudy an effective admission system used by universities around the world and deploy such in 2018. This JAMB nonsense has gone on for too long. Why can't universities undertake their own admissions? Like NYSC a lot of these things need to be revisited ASAP. How can students be going through such hardship in 2017 for something I believe can be done in a simpler and more effective manner? |
Lets see how this pans out |
Question 1. Who carries the financial burden at home? from the tone of this conversation is like your wife is shouldering much of the financial responsibility at home and therefore seen that as a licence to grow wings.... Question 2 Which is closely related to number one is Are you satisfying her sexually? While it is not a licence for her to go AWOL, a combination of 1 & 2 can lead to disastrous consequences... |
tjaytb:Sadly they won't |

If rumours are anything to go by, then the original tapes have been wiped off by NTA Victoria Island by recording other programmes on them. Just like the African Nations Cup 1980 (hosted in Nigeria) tapes are no longer available at the NTA studios. |
The CHANGE agenda was loud all over Ghana. And the people crystalised that in the candidacy of Nana Akufo Addo of the NPP. My big fear is I hope that 3 years down the line this same people who voted change will not be clamouring for the removal of Akufo Addo. The weight of expectation is extremely heavy. No one politician can cure all the ills in the world.I think voters are expecting too much from politicians. What we ought to demand is the environment to flourish. |

A loaf of bread popular with Nigerians and Ghanaians and commonly referred to as "Agege bread" seemed to have been part of the opening ceremony at the Rio Paralympics which opened on September 7. Pictures and story at http://www.gaskiya.net/

prevail23:Of course it can. Are we not the ones who are requesting for Gucci shoes instead of Made in Nigeria? We had Volkswagen of Nigeria and Peugeot Automobile. Most big men drove 505. Middle class 504 and Beetle. Only a few had Mercedes Benz. Undergraduates were in Nigerian universities so we were not using our foreign reserve to service foreign school fees. Our holidays were spent going to visit our uncles and aunties in other parts of Nigeria. Today you know where people prefer. To stand up and be blaming the present or previous governments shows we still haven't learnt our lesson. It's nobody's fault but the people's. This is the outcome of wrong choices made decades ago. When I went to school every school child wore Bata or Lennards shoes. Imagine how much those companies were making then? It is not rocket science. If we continue to import toothpick with our foreign reserve and all our politicians are stealing and stashing the loot abroad, this is what will happen. |
This is a current project in Croydon, England. The company however has done similar projects in order parts of London. The first pictures taken during the early days of the construction were taken by me. The other pictures showing the mall in full swing were taken from the internet. The opening ceremony of the new project is on October 29/30 2016. I hope to get the final pictures

NwaNimo1:Thank you....Cos I went to school with one of his sons while he was head of state in 1984. Nigeria sef.....We manufacture everything including new families |
The beginning of his problems....What he doesn't realise is he will now be banned from entering EU countries and the US. America particularly frowns on people with past police record. Should the countries allow him, women activists in the developed world will call on the promoters to cancel his bookings. If they don't his concerts will be picketed until he is hounded out of those countries. |

Economies around the world are taking a real bashing and this continues to have a telling effect on employment prospects for recent graduates. In my previous posts, I have gone to great lengths to cover writing winning CV's, cover letters and answering interview questions. For those who did not receive personal replies I am extremely sorry. As I explained, the response has been overwhelming. It's just impossible to respond to over 30 personal emails a day. Today I am dealing with one of the questions job seekers have sent in with a view of helping the job seeker look beyond paid employment "Tell us about yourself". This is such a significant question often associated with interviews but could also help in unlocking potentials . If you dissect it with the right tools, this may lead you entirely into your el dorado. Now instead of telling you what to say, I would encourage you to do a SWOT analysis on yourself. Yes. Identify your Strengths. Weaknesses. Opportunities and Threats. What are your strengths? Identify them. Adapt them to a work environment. For example you could be unemployed but yet active in your local community organising residents meetings etc or even responsible for organising your younger ones on a daily basis, you can cite organisational ability as one of your strengths. If also you are one who usually draws the attention of others to issues in your local community such waste management, NEPA transformer issues, security etc, you can claim to have the ability to work on your own initiative. You see even without any corporate experience, you are able to give concrete evidence of having these much needed skills. Regarding your weakness, you can look at an area where you had experienced challenges previously. For example maybe you were never one who had great time management skills. But being a student and also the campus ambassador for an NGO meant you had to divide your time equally and sensibly between duties. That's a great example of time management - accomplishing the tasks within the stipulated time. Opportunity. What do you have or what can you do well that can thrive in the present clime? A graduate in a food producing region can send food items to a region where it is needed without physically visiting the location. Just a website is all you need. Take advantage of your environment. Or maybe you are home alone in a 5 bedroom house where accommodation can be an issue. Why not think of renting out these rooms even if it will be on a temporal basis? At least it will provide you with some capital which can help birth other ideas. Threats. What are the factors outside your control that can stop you from achieving your desired goals? There are many things outside our control that can hamper us and that is why i really don't worry about it. Government policies, the weather,....but we just carry on. Have a great day ! |
When I say we should declare a day of raining curses on all public servants who refuse to do their job, some people will be pleading with me that I should remember that I am a Christian O. let us declare Nov 1 as a Curses Day and all rise at 12:01am to pour curses on all thieving local government chairmen, all doctors and nurses who refuse to work, teachers, policemen, Obas, LASTMA, FRSC, who abuse their position, Customs and immigration who keep demanding for bribes...Let us curse them |
Stationery Stores FC Supporters pay Tribute to Stephen Okechukwu Keshi Born STEPHEN OKECHUKWU KESHI around Costain area of Lagos Mainland in 1962, he attended St Paul's Primary School, Ebute-Metta in Lagos, where his football talent began to show, alongside playing street football. He was captain of the school team. He got admitted into Lagos Secondary Commercial Academy Onike-Yaba in the 1975/76 Academic Year and became an instant football star even as a then Form 1 student, which attracted St. Finbarr's College not far off in Akoka. He then transferred to St. Finbarr's College Akoka the following year in Form 2 to meet a cluster of emerging stars like himself on ground in the school team, amongst whom were Henry Nwosu MON (1yr ahead of him), Franklin Howard and Edema Benson. The bonding was magical like the football they played together. Together they won the Lagos State Principals Cup in 1979 under the erudite Coach Malagu, as the legendary Coach Kashimawo Laloko had left with equally legendary Late Anthony Omoera - the principal a year earlier, to Maryland Comprehensive High School en route famous rival St. Gregory's College, Obalende-Ikoyi. He was a captain at St Finbarr's College years later. Stephen Keshi was a great central defender with aerial command, coordinating attribute and attacking flair, right from the secondary school days. In essence, he exhibited the libero role he was renowned for, in the National Team. A scoring libero, he was. The all-conquering newly formed New Nigerian Bank FC (NNB) engaged Henry Nwosu in 1980 from the African Continental Bank FC (ACB) in 1980 alongside many other great stars and as soon as he finished his School Certificate exams, Stephen Keshi joined Henry Nwosu his bosom friend and brother at NNB in 1981, where together they won several diadems including the WAFU Cup for keeps. He also became captain at NNB FC. He subsequently left for Asec Mimosa of then Ivory Coast in protest over the year-long ban of NNB by the then NFA (for not releasing its players invited then into the national team). It was from Cote d’Ivoire that he left for Anderlecht FC of Belgium in Europe, opening the doors to Europe for many Nigerian local players subsequently. He was a Czar to many African stars in Belgium nay Europe. One retired African football great who will never forget Stephen Keshi, amongst a legion, is Ghanaian legend Odartey Lamptey, whom Keshi literarily 'shipped' to Anderlecht FC Belgium, where Odartey also became a great player. He remains ever grateful and told us he has lost his football father. Unknown to many, Keshi would have been a member of the 1980 Nations Cup winning team, as the late Otto Gloria invited him in 1979 alongside his friend Henry Nwosu but he missed the final squad very narrowly Read the rest here https://www./214572488570325/permalink/1308096525884577/?comment_id=1308443765849853¬if_t=group_comment_reply¬if_id=1465553997823642
