Good evening.
Please my husband is trying to schedule an appointment with me but we are having a challenge adding me because I already have a profile.
Do I need to request to deactivate my own profile so he can add me as we would like to be interviewed together?.
And is there a consequences for deactivating my account.
Thanks

Renewal in Abuja has been so strict of recent don't know If it so in Lagos.
For itemised bill when I had my baby in maryland the bill Sent to me showed a the cost which I am to pay so I decided to go to hospital to pay and a detailed breakdown of what the bill covers (test done in hospital, admission fee, pain killer I took, delivery fee et al) the various costs was stated which sum to the earlier bill I received it was detailed both for I and my daughter and after payment it was still printed same way with my balance been zero. Don't really know if that is what they mean as itemised bill though. Someone with an Idea should clarify pls.

Well for those using Lagos route let's know what the feeling over there is as for abj it can be safely concluded that you need God's special grace during renewal or even when applying.

Hi @olukemiyemi pls when you had your 1st baby @Virginia, how long did it take to get birth cert, SSN and U.S passport.
I'm currently in Virginia, awaiting baby's arrival. Did a little research and found out expedited birth cert and passport here takes 2-3 weeks min for each. ie 4-6wks after delivery! Any advice?
All Virginia mums pls help! I only planned 3wks stay after delivery

Hi.
For you to get the passport immediately you have to go to the passport office in Washington DC once you have the BC & SSN. Else you have to wait.

Well I don't need to be spoon-fed to get info. I actually used a hospital and the research was done by mysef and the feed back I gave to the house and those who pmed me so you can clear that from ur mind.

I guess ur research was guided by info dropped by those who gave feedback back in the years.

My point is, reading current trends of info you can't even figure a budget friendly state to even direct ur research too. So how does this thread give info of cost and procedures to birth in the USA. Maybe the name should be modified.

Well I rest my case. Nah una sabi.

Dwebb55:

Someone might mistake your response for someone who likes to be spoon-fed. When my DW and I had our sojourn last year, we had a lot of research done and made a lot of calls and in the end the correspondence gave us confidence
that helped us to get through the episode in peace. At the POE no question that would be asked that we were not confident about answering. Even other things like account opening, renting a car getting about and other things, we were 'veteraned' enough to be able to get research on anything and have it without any stress.

Secondly, with the paid adverts on the page, Just wise has been empowered to clamp down on free adverts. The thread exists because of NL and they have the right to monitor and control as they deem fit. Just my 2 cents though.

Well justwise since urs is because of those paying ads here, what then is the importance of this thread if useful info of a budget friendly location and where to go can't be found here for those who aren't agent. We also spend our mb coming here to read and that is money generated to the owners of the platform.

In all honesty I feel pple should be able to share their experiences and drop the price. They can exclude the name of the hospital and Dr. But dropping the state Wont be bad. If one needs to get the name u can then pm the individual privately that way it won't be publicly announced.

Else the thread will be for visa and Poe transcript, not cost and procedures to birth on the USA as the name implies.
Thanks.

justwise:

Yes thosedays you are referring to nairaland hasn't started pay ad system, people are allowed to post links and breakdown without no problem, but since company started paying to place an ad here its only fair that they get value for their money.

Will you be happy to be paying to place an ad here while others are allowed to promote their product freely direct or indirectly?

I'm trying to strike a balance here but unfortunately many don't get it.

@ girllom if I were in ur place though I pray not to be, what I will do is
1. I will tell my host that I was informed that the SSN was not supposed to arrived open so as a result of it been open I need to call IRS office. So he should be in the known from the onset.
2. I will call the office & let them know that the SSN came open (it is left for them to figure out what happened) & will like then to verify if it was tampered with & also block the number.
3. I would not ask for another number since it is not needed for anything at the moment wen I need it in the future will apply.
There is nothing my host will tell me, be it apology or whatsoever that will hinder me from calling the IRS office as I nor want wahala
4. I will act as if all is well while I facilitate my return back to Nigeria. Express my gratitude to them for accommodating me & let IRS do whatever they deem fit, if it was a fraud.
5. I will never be their guest.
All this family members over there are something else, they are always scared of accommodating their relatives because they feel we are going to abandon our bills for them to pay up whereas when they have the opportunity to defraud they don't hesitate.
I remember my aunt who accommodatedo me saying am proud of you as she was shocked when I paid my hospital bills of over 10k usd.

Hello pls I need an info. My sis booked her ticket to travel with her infant but decided to leave the baby back home to travel alone. The question is Can she use the child's luggage allowance even though she isn't going with the baby. She booked with Lufthansa. Thanks.

I have bin a silent reader on this thread. Just an advice to those who got their visa b4 bin pregnant I don't think sending a letter of change of intent is necessary so we don't abuse it. BT rather get all ur burden of proof ready & approach them @ POE. Cos I did same & had no issues just make sure you have enough cash & ur Dr correspondence. Just my opinion.

When did u pay this.i .believe dis is far from the truth, we should try not to mislead people.spoke to them just yesterday the 29th of april and dis prices here are far from true. They even said no discounts will be given for self pay/pay out of pocket

Vagina delivery is $10000 and cs is $12000

I am currently hospital shopping

I had my baby March 14th. Paid my bills April 7th. So this is so recent. Still in Maryland awaiting my departure date.
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by shirley013: 5:29am On May 01, 2015

I called prince george and the hospitsl bill for vagina delivery is 10 ,000dollars while cs goes 12,000dollars. No other fee /Doctors fee isnt inclusive.
Well maryland is surely an expensive place to birth.

Wen I called i was also given that same quotation that was why I was planning to go to El paso. BT destiny had it written that it will be in Maryland.
after my 2 nyt the bill I was given was roughly $7,500 for my baby & I and was given 1% discount wen I ask for.
I was scared it will be more than that since I had no Dr & other correspondence tied to the hospital.
like I said this is just hospital bill & I didn't use epidural or anything cos my baby was out as soon as I got to the labour ward.
I can't deceive any1 or misguide. Just wanted to give back to the house.
Just that am not so good with the features on forum would ve shown u a copy of the bill to clear ur doubting spirit.

Prince George's County hospital (they may have updated their prices, @karypops shared the latest prices which I have attached below
Dr A.G Chaudry
Doc's fee including all visits n tests $2514
Hospital: Mother
$3539.16, Baby $797.14
Total $6,850.30

You can google for the contact info of the various doctors and hospitals. Most do not accept email correspondence. Just phone and fax.

[/quote]

for those considering prince George in maryland the hospital fee for mother & baby is 7,500+ for normal delivery without epiduralol for 2nights.
I was actually heading to El paso for delivery bt my baby came earlier so I was taken to PG hospital I paid the above as hospital fee excluding Dr & other charges note dat this is not emergency fee it is their standard fee.
They give 1% discount for self paid.
I hope some1 finds this useful.
