Illiteracy is a disease. Let me cure it a bit.

Just type "Niger Delta Avengers DEMANDS" on google and search. You'll see list of weblinks that will direct you to NDA demands (there are a total 10 demands from NDA).

You can click on theNEWS weblink. Their news are very credible. I won't provide you with the link here. Try and do it yourself.

These people dont have any demands. They are sponsored by foreign partners to cripple nigeria's oil production so that counties like iran can get market share

worksmart:
I saw a video clip of his exact words and he never said how he would release the names only that the names would be released on 29th May 2016. So this news story is misleading to say the least.
So you believe the Ministry of Information would publish the names today?
Politics › Re: Stolen Assets: Buhari Makes U-turn, Says Information Ministry “ll Publish Names by ShowYourCertificate: 12:22pm On May 29, 2016
worksmart:
I don't recall Buhari promising that he would announce names during his speech
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday announced that he will name looters of public funds in a speech he intends to deliver on May 29.

Buhari told journalists on the sideline of the Anti-Corruption Summit holding in London, that such corrupt individuals will be prosecuted.

He said: “So far, what has come out, what has been recovered in whatever currency from each ministries, departments and individuals.

“I intend on the 29th to speak on this because all Nigerians are getting from the mass media because of the number of people arrested either by the EFCC, DSS. But we want to make a comprehensive report on the 29th.”

On whether the names of those indicted will be published, he said: “Yes, eventually, it has to be done because we want to successfully prosecute them. But you know you cannot go to the courts unless you have documents for prosecution.

“People signed for these monies into their personal accounts, their banks gave statements that the money is there, when it came, how much and so on.”

Reacting to the allegation of selective prosecution, Buhari stated: “That is an accusation against the law enforcement agencies. But I assure you that we do not interfere. Try and get those who are now under arrest, you will find out it is across the board.”

Politics › 14 "Other Things" President Buhari Has Changed Since Assuming Power by ShowYourCertificate(op): 10:42pm On May 24, 2016
I read a thread by Olokfor (source: metronaija) where he stated the 14 things Buhari changed in his one year in office. Granted, the things he mentioned are true. But he failed to mention "the other things" Buhari changed that has brought untold hardship to Nigerians. Unlike the superficial things listed on that thread, "the other things" are felt more by Nigerians and has negative impact on their quality of life.

I will only list 14 of "the other things Buhari changed. Will leave the rest for my fellow nairalanders to list.

1. The price of fuel increased from N87 to N145

2. The Dollar - Naira exchange rate got devaluated to an all time high of N320 to the dollar

3. Drop in power production to 1400 Megawatts.

4. Increase in the spate of fulani herdsmen attacks

5. Increase in the agitations for Biafra

6. The spring up of many niger delta militants

7. 1.5 million Nigerians who were hitherto employed, lost their jobs

8. INEC elections are now becoming inconclusive

9. Food stuffs are now crazily expensive. Go and price tomato in the market and revert back

10. Companies are folding up on a daily basis

11. Double digit inflation

12. Increase in assassinations and kidnappings

13. Massacre of the Shi'ites by the Military

14. Nigerian Stock Exchange has become a shadow of itself
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Attacks Borno Village, Scores Feared killed by ShowYourCertificate: 9:36pm On May 24, 2016
Blame the Northern elites and elders for Boko Haram. They romanced with it (Boko Haram) and weaned it because they wanted GEJ out by all means. Now that GEJ is out, it's still tormenting them like a ghost. Boko Haram could have been wiped out a long time ago if the North had supported Ihejirika & GEJ. It's a pity they didn't. Now Boko Haram has come to stay. It can be weakened, but can never be wiped out. It's too late.

AustineE1:
This looks like an article from the office of Mr lai Mohammed.
It's actually Amaechi's handwork. This present MEND is loyal to Amaechi. They were the thugs he used during the Rivers elections. He also used them to make a statement against Jonathan during the presidency electioneering period.

The present MEND has been politicised. They no long talk about full resource control and true FISCAL federalism. They have lost touch with the Niger Delta struggle and no longer command followership as before. NDA is the new group that is fast gaining popularity in the creeks. They (NDA) now speak for the Niger Delta people.

I have always advocated the removal of subsidy cos it was pointless.
Under GEJ though, it was obvious the government was riddled with thieving charlatans who woukd not do anything with the funds saved
What makes you think that Subsidy has been completely removed? And who told you that those "theiving charlatans" are still not in the petroleum sector controlling things? Keep on deceiving yourself.

Exactly, the government in power are complete dullards

My question is, has subsidy been removed? Cos i didn't see that clearly stated in that press release. I'll hate to hear subsidy is being paid while we buy at this price.
Let's asked Omenka let's see how he will deftly cover up for the deceitfulness of the government of the day.

Where is oga Tom West and Fashola the lawyer that doesn't sign cheques but could calculate how Goodluck should have sold fuel for #40. Hypocrisy everywhere.
My brother, their hypocrisy stinks.

NLC and TUC quiet am I missing something?
It's quite unfortunate that our labour unions and activists have gone cold. This is dangerous for our democracy.

We really need to be patriotic and stop playing politics with everything.

It's been long I heard SAI BABA though.
The likes of Omenka, Dropshot, Seunmgr, Ngenekwenu, Passingshot, etc are still shouting sai baba. This reminds me so much of the zombies in the movie World War Z. I pray we don't all get infected from the zombie virus in that movie and start behaving like zombies who don't think with their brain but are all wired to do the same thing......

Immediate implementation of the report of the 2014 National Conference. Otherwise, this country will break-up forcefully.
2. President Buhari, the DS SSS and Timipre Sylva should apologize to the people of the Niger Delta region and family of Late Chief DSP Alamieyesegha for killing him with intimidation and harassment because of his party affiliation.

3. The ownership of oil blocks must reflect 60% for the oil producing people and 40% for the non-oil producing people.
4. The only Nigerian Maritime University sited in the most appropriate and befitting place Okerenkoko must start the 2015/2016 academic session immediately.

5. The minister of transportation, Mr Rotimi Amechi should apologize to the Ijaws and the entire Niger Delta people for his careless and reckless statement about the siting of the University.

6. The Ogoniland and indeed ll oil polluted lands in the Niger Delta must be cleaned up and compensation be paid to all oil producing communities.

7. Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of IPOB must be released unconditionally as the court said.

8. The Niger Delta Amnesty programme must be well funded and let it continue to run effectively.

9. All APC members that are indicted in any corruption related cases should be made to face trial like the PDP members. Otherwise Buhari should shamefully forget about this nonsense anti-corruption fight.
10. All oil multi-nationals and foreign investors should observe this ultimatum, as their business interest in the country must be first target.

11. A word is enough for the wise.

In addition to tell the Nigeria government that we mean business at as 10:55pm on Saturday the Forcados terminal crude oil export pipeline was blown up by Niger Delta Avengers
