Our long-awaited precious victorious baby boy arrived through elective CS weighing 3.5Kg @ 37 weeks

Edd: 25th March
DOB: 4th March

BS:
After several miscarriages and medical conditions of over 10 years, I was confirmed pregnant around June last year.

Due to previous Pregnancy issues, a cervical cerclage was placed @13weeks. 1st trimester was the most challenging with different issues ranging from lack of appetite, moderate hyperemesis gravidarum, spotting at 6weeks and was placed on progesterone support for four ( 4) months with adequate bedrest.

Second trimester and most of the 3rd trimester period was very smooth not until I decided to be a super woman by bending excessively when doing a house chore even though I was advised against doing any form of house chore. This led to spotting at 36weeks.

The doctors were ready to do an emergency CS but by God's mercy, the scan report showed that the spotting was from the cerclage and baby is okay. The doctors had to take caution, being that the baby is a precious baby, by shifting the date of my elective CS from 15th of March to 4th of March.

My baby boy was delivered on the 4th of March at about 12:30 pm, weighing 3.5Kg. I am still recovering by God's Grace, even though we were discharged 5ldays ago, baby was re-admitted due to jaundice and he is currently on phototherapy ( Pls pray for his quick recovery).

Wishing all pregnant mamas a safe delivery in Jesus name. Thank you all for your support during this journey, you are a family indeed!

Okay….lemme me write my bs now that I’m fine…I almost went into postpartum depression with the cs guilt I initially talked about but we thank God…I’m fine now.

So I got married Jan 2021 and ttc for 6 months….I was the only one TTC’ing cuz DH was of the opinion that we live just us for a yr at least, basically enjoy being married before having kids but I’ve always wanted children even while we were dating so this 6 months was really daunting for me…..thankfully, God did it and we conceived June(lemme plug in the peoples doctor on ig…cuz she helped figure out I wasn’t ovulating and gave me medication that helped,I did hsg,countless tests and triggered with hcg ….etc)….and the journey started….very smooth…I had zero symptoms asides first trimester vomiting and some food aversions …asides that I was strong enough to work till the last week of February….I put to birth on 3rd of March… I took my prenatals for the first 12 weeks after that I stuck to fruits and healthy diet….thank God it turned out fine…
So on the 3 rd of March at about 2.15am my water broke….I was awake as I’ve been having insomnia during the 3rd trimester and I woke hubby to see….most of the water was clear but there was traces of blood….we decided to wait till 5am to get to the hospital…I was already having contractions but it was mild….as soon as we got to the hospital the contractions was times 3…was very intense….the nurse checked me and said I was 8 cm dilated at about 9am…..which was pretty fast……(which was why I felt guilty,like I could have pushed my baby out)…..but at this point I lost it and I don’t understand how it all happened but like someone said here….I have come to realize that certain things I do not understand is divine intervention…
Imagine me being told I was 8cm dilated…I started screaming cs…..hubby was by my side and I insisted on cs…the nurse was angry saying I have done more than 50percent of the work…imagine I have been bearing contractions since 2am and now it was 9am and I was close to being fully dilated and I was screaming cs….I still don’t understand it guys but I insisted on cs and DH said if that’s what I really want he would support me….so I proceeded to have my baby via cs at about 10am and he came out weighing 3.2 kg and didn’t cry till they removed the meconium he ingested…..I thank God recovery was smooth and I was discharged 3days later……Now I look at my baby and I can’t be more grateful to God for everything he has done…Cappo @. So I got this vacuum flask on Wednesday for #5500 and the hot water I left in it since Wednesday night is still very hot (hurts the skin) right now even though I've been opening once in a while since Thursday to allay my fears. Just in case you feel these kinds of flask don't work except its stainless body all through, I'm here to let you know it does come in handy and cheaper

Thanks Mamas for the kind words…really does make me feel better…pls what can help with breastfeeding., I can’t take the lactation cookies yet as I’m still on pap and water…the nurses here say sometimes it takes 3to 5 days…..baby has sucked to stimulate,I’ve also used breast pump….is it cus of cs or should I just wait it out like they said :' ?

BA #team March....baby arrived yesterday. Birth weight 3.2 kg .. I opted for Cs at almost close to being fully dilated.... I dunno what it was but I kept shouting C's...mum and mum in law are still mad at me for it . In fact I started feeling bad about it especially with the harder recovery process . Full bs to come later. Baby swallowed meconium and didn't cry after he came out till doctor removed it Asides the guilt im feeling for opting for Cs when there was no need for it, we r fine

Is anyone awake….is like my water has broken….can I wait till morning to go to the hospital?

Oh…okay…I’ve been eating pineapple since I got pregnant..:I have in the fridge now sef…so I dunno if that would work for me….also just starting my maternity leave this coming Monday ..so I’ve been climbing stairs at work and driving to work all these while…That’s why I was hoping to start feeling signs of labour by now……I’ll just continue pineapple and exercise sha and pray..cuz I don’t want induction or membrane sweep or castor oil…

I bought d raspberry tea unfortunately d one i bought was mixed wit hibiscus n google said consuming hibiscus aint gud 4 preggy mamas n breastfeeding mothers (dang it) ... Will ve to stick to eatin pineapple, walking n doing exercise on d staircase..

Oh…I went for antenatal today and doctor has already told me I will only be induced at 41 weeks if no labour. He even said its 42 weeks that’s the limit

Make I continue my story now wey time dey.
So the did the 9VE and discovered i was almost there. Before I knew what was happening, the strong poo urge don start to the hit me back to back,I hear am oh and I cry oh who pretense hep. Matron say oya make I do the poo wey the disturb me,na him I start to push oh,before I could say pim,baby have comot.
Got the shocker of my life,na baby girl oh. My joy knew no bounds. I was even arguing tell them I was told is a boy.
Time to deliver placenta,as soon as the placenta came out,next na blood like say na tap them open. She was wondering what was causing the bleed but couldn't place her hand on it. She called the doctor to come check,na there another wahala start. Na faint remain for me,the pain was something else. It was discovered I had cervical laceration. They were busy poking hands and instruments just to locate the source of the bleed but I was not cooperating cause the pain was out of this world. The located the source and clamped and told me it was theatre straight for repair.
Gave birth around 6pm and headed for the theatre pass 12am this morning. I sha don't know what happened oh but I woke up speaking nonsense . I was high on anesthesia.
All I can say is thank God,He who began the good work has finished it,all glory to his name.
NB: met one devil in white who had no manner but I sha give am my piece of mind. While the doctors were poking and I was screaming and crying, instead of the idiot doctor to calm me down,all he could say was 'Madam cooperate now,are you the first woman to give birth?' Those hurtful words made me cry. I sha approached him and give him a piece of my mind and he still had the mouth to talk rubbish, he said if am looking for an apology, am not getting it. Told him to shove it up his a***** .
I sha thank God for every.
Born 25 feb by 6: 15pm,and God answered my prayer and gave me my heart desire.

Story of my life now
So yesterday,I went for the regular antenatal clinic and complained about having off and on contractions. So doctor said go and bring gloves let's check. My joy knew no bounds. I jejely go buy gloves come meet doctor and he checked and discovered I was already 4cm dilated. Na so them ship me go labour ward oh. I don spend 24hrs for labour ward already and oga no wan show. Contractions are not cooperating, I have already had 8 VE's done(not funny) membrane ruptured but na that contractions no wan cooperate. A doctor is saying baby's head is not decending cos he feels the head is big and am hearing something like face to pubis.

Praise ye the Lord for the He is good to me. He has shown me grace and mercy by giving me an easy delivery of my baby girl who just arrived 41 minutes ago. Labour and delivery lasted 3hours via vb with no tear.

Instead of buying the bottle steriliser, why not buy Milton Sterilising tablets or the liquid one to save cost and still serve same purpose and you may not use it always sef.

They do in most Nigerian private hospitals …in mine they even have the blue hospital cloth for the husband and he can cut the cud as well…we were told this at antenatal class

Seriously I also want my husband to be there to see my baby life and direct and follow them to bathe him. I remember watching Toyin Abraham birth video, immediately they open her and bring the baby out the next thing she told her husband was tele omo mi(meaning follow my child) so the husband was there in the theater and followed the nurses to where they bathe him while they were stitching her up.

Scan prices vary and depends on where you go…my hospital charges 4500 for scan while union lab I have used charges 2500 or thereabout for scan…:it varies depending on where you go

Please oh mamas I'm here again, is there any difference if you go for scan with a doctor's report in another lab and when u just go on your own? I called two labs to inquire prices of scan to know baby's gender and one said 8,600 and the other one said 7500 naira, is it because I want to do it on my own or is that how expensive it is to check baby's gender??

Better buy medium size cotton wool, one small pampers cos if u carry big pampers go, na u go do father xmas 4 oda mamas b dt... Carry wat u need n small size of anything d hospital ask u to bring... It was wat i did oo n i stil endup not going home wit most of my stuff... Dem nurse took my stuffs.... Go light, u no pipu na, oversabi dey worry dem... No need buyin d silverbird thing, if u ve flash b4, no need buying bigger ones since u ve two smaller ones, just buy sleepsuits 4 baby... Babies doesnt need all does flashy dresses... Dont b surprise ur baby may endup wearin most of his/clothes ones cs d up dey grow in just one month is unbelievable... Sleepsuits r life savers... U cn b buyin orisirisi assorted clothes wen baby reach 6months... 4 outting purpose.
