Are we supposed to be arresting people or the current harsh economic situation? With the way this government is going, everybody will soon end in jail leaving only Buhari, Mamman and Kyari to enjoy their loot.

3. A science and technology minister who aspires to produce pencils (HB, 2B) in two years;

4. An information minister who wants to generate jobs via masquerade dressing.

How many times did I call you?
These nomads don't understand what a peace deal/treaty means. They are usually inhuman and full of terrorists' acts. By signing a peace deal, you have just empowered them to roam the length and breadth of Abia State. What this means is that they usually move round communities, learn the terrain especially escape routes/borders and send their findings to their terrorist arms.
If this governor knows what is good for him and avoid the Ifeanyi Egwuanyi (of Enugu State) treatment, he should confine them thereby monitor their every move. These people kill without thinking twice and are provocators.

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Pius Odubu has lambasted the governor for pushing the already agreed date of election to same period when Edo people would be coronating a new king (Oba).
A government house source said the outburst of Chief Odubu, the Deputy Governor who is an ardent respecter of the Benin culture generated a fierce argument between the governor and his deputy. The source quoted Odubu as saying "I am warning you not to cause more trouble for this party as you 've done already". An indication that he was still furious about the role played by the governor in the party's primary.
In swift responce, the governor was said to 've directed his security men to take Odubu away from him as his sight was irritating. Oshiomhole who our source said was visibly angry blamed the likes of the deputy governor for the set back the party is already facing.
The event took a different twist when the governor's security men attempted to carry out the order and were vehemently resisted by the party faithfuls who accompanied Dr. Odubu to meet with the governor. Chief Osaro idah who joined voice with the deputy governor asked that Oshiomhole should have consulted with the party leaders before employing the help of his Kano state governor to perfect the shift in date.
The governor has warned those who 're mixing tradition with politics to choose between them as he (Oshiomhole ) is in the moment concerned about how to deliver his candidate who is right now facing challenge with all the opinion polls showing a ugly direction about him.

Nigerians now know better... APC did their best in Edo State, but we all their best was to put enough money in their pocket. Enough to last them and their great grand children unborn.

PDP is no better option either. How are we sure that we are not going back to their old ways?

PPA is presenting a man whose track record as a journalist is centred on integrity, accountability, transparency and without prejudice. A man who so many have followed on air, as a fighter for justice and a peaceful personality.

Nigerians are one of the most creative people on the planet. While non-Nigerians may doubt my assertion, till they manage to invent a popular version of English like we did (Pidgin English), they can keep on doubting.

Although there are many awesome things Nigerians do, we do have some face palm moments. Don’t laugh too hard at the five words Nigerians use that doesn’t exist in the English dictionary:

1. Installmentally
This doesn’t exist anywhere else except only in Nigeria. If you doubt this, just search “Installmentally” on google and watch only Nigerian sites pop up.

 

2. Night-Vigil
This is another one I don’t understand. Does anyone ever hold a vigil during the day?

 

3. Cunny 
This is not meant as a euphemism for the female body part. When Nigerians say this word, they mean “cunning”. How is that for a giant leap forward?

 

4. Disvirgin
How hard is it to say deflowered? It must be extremely difficult because even health professionals and newsmen use this absurd word that doesn’t exist.

 

5. Wake Keeping (Wake keep)
Nigerians have not only made the old European custom of watching over a corpse till it’s buried (called a wake) theirs, they have actually renamed it. Please, there is no such phrase as “wake keep” or even “wake keeping”.

Demi Lovato was a little awkward looking, true. But look at her today. You wouldn’t even know that those two were related or even the same person just by looking at them. What a change, huh? Still, she was a cute baby. Just not exactly who we’d expect to become Demi Lovato.
Demi Lovato was a former Disney Channel star who got her start in Barney and Friends. Now a singer and songwriter, Lovato has been topping the charts for the past few years with songs like Skyscraper and Heart Attack. She advocates for both LGBT rights and mental health issues, making her a musician to look out for in the next few years.

3. Tom Cruise
Puberty is a game changer for a lot of actors and actresses. Some go the Edward Furlough route and lose the looks that propelled them to fame. Others, like Tom Cruise, took some time to find their classic looks. Tom Cruise didn’t have the best teeth or brows. But we suppose with a little cash and some major dental surgery and cosmetics, he’s now the guy stealing your girlfriend’s attention in Mission Impossible. Hell, the guy’s in his fifties and you wouldn’t even be able to tell now. Thank either genetics or Scientology for that one, I guess.
Tom Cruise began his acting career in films like Endless Love and The Outsiders. While infamous for his involvement in Scientology, Cruise has been one of Hollywood’s top leading men for quite some time. From Mission Impossible to the infamous Eyes Wide Shut, Cruise has been doing it all.

But it’s hard to talk about Tom Cruise without mentioning his former hostage, Katie Holmes. Like Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes wasn’t the best looking baby. While not an ugly baby per se, sometimes babies just look a little…droopy. And Katie was definitely no different. In fact, this almost brings her a little down to Earth. Celebrities. They were weird looking babies too. Nowadays, her looks work to her advantage. Sometimes, how cute a baby is doesn’t always determine whether or not they’ll be cute later on or not. It seems like the weirder a baby looks, the better looking they’ll be when they’re an adult.
Katie Holmes got her start on Dawson’s Creek. Infamous for being Tom Cruise’s former beau, Katie Holmes has since starred in films and shows such as Batman Begins and How I Met Your Mother. Holmes is a rising star and set to appear in television shows, Broadway plays, and more films in the next few years.

5. “Drake” Bell
Alright, don’t adjust your sets. That’s not Chubby Chaney as a baby, although man, Bell’s not the best looking baby either. Jared Bell (hey, you know it was coming, dude. I’m still gonna call you that) looks alright now, we guess, but was a clear prune goblin as a baby. He still makes stupid faces even to this day, so we guess he didn’t change too much over the years. Josh was still the better one, we admit. Either way, I guess Drake slimmed down a bit. And for the past five years he hasn’t aged one bit. Except for that mole that’s living on his face, we guess.
Jared Bell got his start as an actor with his roles on the Amanda Show and Drake and Josh. Jared Bell is now a musician and voice actor, with three albums and a recurring role on Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. He’s also famous for his Twitter account and Twitter feud with Justin Bieber.

6. Scarlett Johansson
Okay, let me be the first to say that Johansson wasn’t an ugly baby. But looking at her, you wouldn’t know that was the future Scarlett Johansson. At least not in that white onesie deal she’s got going on. You can’t always tell what a baby’s going to do later on. But sometimes, you like to imagine that you can see a spark of the baby’s future looking at them. You can’t really say that with this picture of Scarlett Johansson. Unfortunately, she was ambiguous baby but you can’t say that Scarlett Johansson, arguably one of the most beautiful women in the world, is ambiguous or weird looking now. I swear to god, babies are some of the weirdest looking things in the world but damn if they’re not cute and cheerful. Just keep the spitting up and the diaper changes in mind.

Hally has been named the world’s sexiest woman by multiple publications, and was mostly known as just another pretty face. I find in Alibaba an old man with a child's mindset in the context of his rants concerning the passing on of Keshi.
I'm not surprised because Amaju Pinnick has consistently overlooked him in the area of being the MC in leading shows recently.

A really old woman who was already wrinkled has been completely transformed into something else through the power of make-up.

An 80-year-old grandmother named Livia, who lives in a nursing home was given a transformation through contouring makeovers by her granddaughter, Tea Flego.
 
Tea worked her magic on her grandma and the result have been trending on social media.
 
In the 'before' images, Livia can be seen wearing glasses and has red pigmentation on her skin. Getting to work, Tea applied bronzer and darker shades of foundation and powder to contour her facial features.

A witness has narrated how a former governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye bought an ordinary pen for N2m while enjoying extravagant lifestyle after diverting funds meant for the state.

A retired detective with the Metropolitan Police in London, Mr. Peter Clerk, on Monday, has revealed how a former Governor of Plateau State, Mr. Joshua Dariye, lived extravagant and lavish lifestyle after stealing from his people.
 
The detective narrated before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Gudu, Abuja, details leading to the arrest of the ex-governor in September 2004.
 
Clerk was testifying before Justice Adebukola Banjoko as the ninth prosecution witness in the trial of the former governor on charges of alleged diversion of about N1.162bn Ecological Fund meant for Plateau State in 2004.
 
Clerk revealed a shocking detail how the ex-governor enjoyed lavish and extravagant lifestyle at the detriment of his people. He narrated how the ex-governor purchased a pen for £7,000 (N2m) in London, before the former governor was arrested.
 
He said, “From the examination of Mr. Dariye’s account, he travelled all over the world. From his passport, we saw stamps of several countries.

“We found seven pairs of shoes which cost £700 per pair. He paid £7,000 for a pen. He purchased a lot of things in high luxurious stores.”
 
Led in evidence by the lead prosecution counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), Clerk made more shocking revelations about the ex-governor who is now the Senator representing Plateau Central in the National Assembly.
 
He said, “On September 28, 2004, we were informed that Joshua Dariye was in London in a hotel. I went there with two other officers who also identified themselves as police officers.

“I informed him (Dariye) that we were investigating his accounts and we arrested and informed him under caution that we believed that the money was stolen and proceeds of money laundering. He said nothing.”
 
He stated that on September 28, 2004, when Dariye was arrested, £43,000 was found in the former governor’s hotel room.
 
He said on the same day, £50,000, out of which £40,000 belonged to Dariye, was found with a lady, Christabel Bentu, who was said to have claimed to be a Personal Assistant to the former governor, in another room in the same hotel.
 
Clerk added, “In September 2004, £43,000 in cash was found in Dariye’s room when it was searched. There were various denominations and currencies including Scottish notes, dollars, euros.

“The cash seized was packed into a container, for which he signed. It was photographed. I have copies of the photograph. Dariye and Christopher Bentu were taken to the police.”
 
He said his colleague searched a property belonging to Dariye and found £11,995.
 
Clerk stated that Dariye was later released on bail and was expected to return to London in December 2004, but never did.
 
The witness said a valid arrest warrant was, till date, still pending against the former governor after jumping bail to Nigeria.
 
Clerk added, “Dariye was informed that if he attempted to move any money, he would be charged for further money laundering.

“In September 2004, I looked at Joshua Dariye in the eyes and said to him, ‘I know you are a religious man’, I asked him if he would come back on December 14, 2004. He said ‘yes’, he would, but he failed to show up. Bentu also failed to show up.

“My colleague searched his property and found £11,995 on the premises and some flyers. They also found three Barclays cheques. They were all seized immediately we made an application for his arrest in London. The arrest warrant is still valid till today. It was circulated in all computers that Dariye was wanted.”
 
He said the Metropolitan Police deliberately did not ask for Dariye’s extradition to London because he was under immunity as a serving governor, but that soon after he completed his tenure in 2007, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission filed charges against him.
 
He said, “He (Dariye) failed to return for his bail. I immediately applied for a warrant of arrest, which was granted by a Magistrate in London. That is still valid. He is wanted in London as of today.”
 
Clerk confirmed that the evidence he gave before an impeachment panel led to Dariye’s removal from office as governor in November 2006, though he was later reinstated by the Supreme Court.
 
He, however, said he didn’t complete his evidence before the investigating panel in Jos “because the defence was playing games” and he was already scheduled to fly back to London.
 
He said Dariye operated nine accounts with Barclays Bank.
 
Under cross-examination by the defence counsel, Mr. Garba Pwul (SAN), Clerk said the former governor opened the accounts in 1995 but were not active until 1999.
 
“From 1995, when the accounts were opened in Barclays Bank, there were very little activities on the account until May 1999 when he became the governor of Plateau State. I have six boxes of materials on this case,” the witness said.
 
The witness said that a lot of huge cash funds found in Dariye’s home in London, in his accounts in Barclays Bank of London and some with his cronies were seized and repatriated to Nigeria.
 
The witness, who was of the Proceeds of Corruption Unit of the London Metropolitan Police, said £11,500, kept in a brief case, was seized from one Christopher Mcquiney, who said the money belonged to Dariye in January 2004.
 
He stated that there was one Joyce Oyebanjo, who was helping Dariye to pay utility bills in London and routinely receiving funds from Dariye for the maintenance of the former governor’s three children and his property.
 
Clerk said the woman was later arrested, prosecuted and sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment for money laundering.
 
He explained that a property in London worth £395,000 was seized from Dariye by the UK government and the proceeds repatriated to Nigeria.
 
According to him, the purchase of the property was funded by one Lucky Omohuwa of Pinnacle Communication.
 
He added, “When I suspected that the money came from Nigeria. I met the Nigerian ambassador and informed him of the proceedings and that if he was interested, he might join the proceedings. He did and wrote that the money be forfeited to the Attorney General.

“The properties that were frozen were then ordered to be sold and the money or proceeds be sent back to Nigeria.”
 
Some Barclays Bank account statements and cheques were tendered and admitted as exhibits on Monday.
 
Justice Banjoko adjourned trial till June 6.

Nollywood actress and singer, Stella Damasus, has been an outcast of sort among some of her colleagues who have labelled her ‘husband-snatcher’ after she started living as a couple with Doris Simeon’s ex husband, Daniel Ademinokan.

Since the incident made news a couple of years ago, Stella has kept her peace, refusing to comment on the issue until recently.“I have kept mum on the allegation until now and I feel it’s time I expressed myself.
 
”One of the comments I have seen consistently, over and over again is, ‘Stella snatches somebody’s husband’; ‘Stella the husband snatcher’; which is what has been going on.

“And I had sworn that I would never talk about it or even listen or stress myself about the issue. But I have decided to talk about it now, so that I end it once and for all’, she said.“How is it possible to go to somebody’s home, take a happily married man, take his son away from his home and say follow me.

“Let’s assume you are a man, and according to their story, he is happily married inside his home with his family complete, and I walk into that home to forcefully take a man, able-bodied man, and a kid, away from somebody’s hand and you are there looking at me.
 
“So, logically, if people actually sit down and think about it intelligently, how do you snatch somebody from somebody and the person is there looking at you?

“So when you see a man who has settled ties with a woman and decides to move on with his life and you feel that there is something in this man that you like and he likes you, is there a problem there?
 
“I am not a kid. I am 38 years old. I am not about to start hiding myself’" she said.

Most people simply don’t understand tithing.

To many Christians, it seems like some sort of country club due. Another bill in the long list of monthly expenses.

Giving is supposed to be an act of worship that draws you closer to the heart of God.

Then why is it that the concept of tithing, giving the first 10 percent of one’s income, has become so divisive in the church?

Christians debate questions like:

Is tithing still even required? Wasn’t it an Old Testament law? Didn’t Christ abolish the law with His death and resurrection?

Should I tithe off the gross or net of my income?

Does God really expect me to tithe if I’m struggling in my personal finances?

I “tithe” my time to the church. Isn’t that enough?

These questions all have the same recurring theme—what’s the least I can give and still receive God’s blessings.

When you debate these questions, you totally miss the point.

Biblical generosity isn’t about giving the minimum. It’s about surrendering it all to an all-powerful, all-loving God. A God who gave everything in his son Jesus Christ (John 3:16).

Randy Alcorn said it best: “Giving affirms Christ’s lordship. It dethrones me and exalts Him.”

President Muhammadu Buhari’s election victory in the opinion and expectation of majority of Nigerians and African was seen as an opportunity for a total transformation of Africa’s sleeping giant, but the events in the last 10 months have shown otherwise.

According to a study by Nigerian Governance Watch, a United Kingdom (UK) based Nigerian Professionals group, revealed that President Buhari is beret of idea to manage, have no focus, unstable and extremely incompetent in every sphere to shape the affairs of Nigeria.

The group came short of blaming the President, but Nigerians who knew the antecedent of Muhammadu Buhari while in office in 1984 to 1985 and blindly went for a man who have not created anything, but only destroys the gains of his predecessors through his thoughtless policies and zero understanding of the workings in a public sector.

As a military leader, Buhari killed the Naira, killed the economy, destroyed our relationship with the rest of the world, polarized the country on tribe and religion, impoverished Nigerians to the extent that Nigerians were queuing up for essential commodities like Milk, Rice and Bread.

On Buhari’s return in May 2015, he has within this short period, turned Africa’s biggest and fastest growing economy to a shrinking one. Crashing the GDP from about 7.0% to 2.4%, inflation jumping to 11.6% from 9%, over 2 million Nigerians losing their jobs, FDI dropped by over 85%, maternal and infant mortality is at all time high as result of poverty, malnutrition and diseases.

In a dwindling revenue, Buhari did the unheard of, instead of reducing the budget, he increased the budget from N4.3trn to N6.07trn. He presented the most fraudulent, inflated and irredeemably padded budget.

The Nigerian Governance Watch stated that they were not surprised, as President Buhari they described as a “very serious” leader, in a recession period did not deem it fit to appoint a single Economist among the 36 names in his cabinet.

They frowned at the president’s inability to set up an Economic Team after 10 months in office and only resorting to intuition, thumb rules and application of Adam and Eve economies in this 21st century.

On the political front, the condemned President’s deliberate interventions in the electoral process and his use of security agencies to intimidate the opposition and the assassination and killing of people of diverse opinion.

The UK based group, according to Hope For Nigeria is worried that President Buhari who benefited in one of the best organised elections in Africa just few months ago have been unable to successfully organise any election in the country.

His determination to ensure that his party members and cronies win all the elections has lead to numerous killings, kidnapping and in most cases annulling results or declaring them inconclusive where his party is losing hopefully, like the case of Rivers state re-run election.

In conclusion, according to Hope For Nigeria, the group advised President Buhari to swallow his pride and recall some of the experts from previous governments that meticulously guided the Nigerian economy to be the largest in the continent. They added that it is not about Buhari as the leader, but the paramount thing is the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.

This road is long overdue for rehabilitation/construction. Ikpeazu along with his deputy, Ude should link the road to Amurie, Elughu, Obuofia and down Nda'agbo... Until that is done before the end of their tenure before we recognize that Ude is a true Nkporo son.

The FG during Jonathan's time awarded these roads for rehabilitation. Same thing happened during Obasanjo's time. The money went down the drain with nothing to show for it.

Ude was speaker of the ABHA for eight years with nothing to show for it in Nkporo except his massive mansion.

We will be in the village this year-end and I'll just cross the road to Ude's house to register Nairalanders' displeasure at the quality of his administration's work thus far.
