I had a busy weekend. The whatsapp chat for this thread had a very successful party yestdy. It was the bomb. There were lots of handsome dudes and beautiful ladies in attendance. People came from different parts of the country, one or two flew in from outside the country. It truly showed their commitment to the vision of the chat, and their seriousness to the biz of finding a life partner. The dresscode was casual chic/casual dude. It began from 12noon till mama calls. There was surplus food and lots to drink. We were all like a family. U can imagine when a group of people have been chatting since october 6th, and finally meet for the first time after 3mths of relating online! There were sparks in the air! Friendships were formed, relationships made and engagements announced. I tell u, it wasn't only the sound of jingle bells I was hearing! I cud hear the toll of wedding bells! Yay!
For those who are wondering, the whatsapp chat is the baby of this thread and is meant for serious 30plus ladies and gents who want to go to the next level. The chat is responsible, as secure as can be, and operates under a controlled environment of love, respect and fun. If u like what am doing on this thread, then u shd be a part of this chat.
I am glad to announce that in january, the whatsapp chat for 30plus and single is officially entering Season 2.

One Doctor sent me a pair of Italian leather shoes, a designer perfume and a gold wrist watch and he shared a testimony that he got a 6 digit salary job with WHO.

Thank God the weekend is round the corner! Whew!
I have read some very interesting posts, some were downright funny and I had a hard time keeping the laughter down, like a genie in a bottle. But some posts I read with dismay.
I wud like to remind everyone that first and foremost, this is a thread for 30plus and single. There is a reason for that. Originally, it was meant for 40plus, before two persons reasoned that the 30year olds carried a good head on their shoulders, and so the barr shd be dropped to accommodate them.
From what I can see (and read), some people are trying to derail this noble thread. The level of maturity is dropping, everyone is saying whatever drops into their head, a few are downright insultive.
U shd know that this thread has come this far, in such a short time bcs of the level of maturity, cool levelheadness and mutual respect that the original poster and early posters displayed. Some people who joined in recent times, have taken this thread from world cup standard, to a free for all match btw area boys, nurtw and agberos. Its so disappointing. Especially as my pankere was stolen a few days back, or I wud have whipped some asses here.
And yes, for those who are wondering what am talking abt, am BACK! I've ordered a new pankere. As soon as it arrives, I'm going to whip some people back into shape so watch out.
If uve been running ur mouth here, I guess u didn't see the signboard at the gate bcs u slipped in here in the dark. Go and find another thread and display ur uncouth behavious there. For those who come in here and just post their whatsapp/bbm/fone number and whatever other statistic u have in the hopes that ladies wud 'hit u up'...well, u'll get what u deserve. Those who know me, know I always say that like attracts like. There is no better feeling than being in a solid relationship but do it well. Vivi, Sorry for ur loss. May God alone comfort u. I lost my dad a few short years ago, and till today, am not over it. Unfortunately death is one sad event that affects all of us. While we are left to feel the pain, our departed ones go to rest in the Lord, from all the stress and troubles of this world. It is well.

Gdmrn fine people, and how was Ur nite? So many msgs to read. Hmmm....am just going to sit back, sip my Pepsi (Pepsi company....this is not a free advert for u ooo, lol), and read all the lively comments. It promises to be a lovely day. Bright skies, not too hot, no rain where I am.
Christmas is fast approaching ooo, I remember a time in 9ja when NTA wud start broadcasting Xmas jingles as early as September. The atmosphere wud be electrified with the expectation of Xmas trees, Xmas gifts, Xmas cheer. We cudnt wait to go on holidays. Dresses and shoes wud be bought ahead, and friends were comparing notes and placing bets on which grotto that daddy wud take us to, this year. Then a trip to UTC or Kingsway was like a trip to heaven, laced with hopes and expectations. By October, homes wud have Xmas hangings, trees and cards.... Some cards as old as 10years, lovingly preserved and brought out yearly to decorate the rooms with. Those Xmas decor wud grace the livingroom from October to February of the next year, before being reluctantly dismantled and carefully packed into cartons and boxes, for the next Xmas.
That was the 9ja I grew up in. This year, let's make an effort to bring the spirit back to Xmas. Make plans to be a father Xmas to someone who needs it. Surprise a family passing thru tough times with a 'hamper' of uncooked rice, yams and beans. Pack some of those clothes (u and I know that u have too much), and sow them as a gift to someone who is in need. Be nice to someone. Go out of Ur way and buy a Sweet Sensation cake for someone who didn't tell u it was his/her bday, but u heard it anyway(this is not an advert either...lol).
Bottom line, do Ur bit to make the world a better place this Xmas.
The good news is u dont have to wait for Xmas before u become a nicer person. Today can become Xmas, if u want it to. Who knows......as a parliamentarian of the 30plus and single Assembly, someone might be watching u...and falling in love with u...and coming to ask u out,
So,..go for it! Your time has come!!!

My dear gfm01......hmmmm..... Am watching u in 16D ooo. If uve truly changed, pls show fruits of repentance and starting posting comments that show that uve restituted. Talk is cheap, but actions weigh more than gold. Every lady on 30plus and single is a precious woman. The Nigerian woman is someone's mother, sister, wife and daughter. I owe it a duty to the best of my ability, to make sure that on the whatsapp chat, they are protected. And that is why they have joined the chat, which is thriving by the way.
I also noticed something. Ladies in their 30s tend to be more reserved and less adventurous. I am guessing that its from certain past negative experiences they have passed through. I want to assure the beautiful and gentle spirited women here that the chat is as safe as humanly possible. It is governed by rules meant to protect the ladies specifically. I encourage ladies to join and be a part of the family.
