Politics › Re: What Is The Way Out Of The Recession? by Sibrah: 8:55pm On Jan 11, 2017 |
The way out of recession is true productiveness. Ask yourself all those idle people around you whose job/effort is not commesurate with what they consume(food, shelter), whose effort is paying for their maintainance/upkeep? We basically share oil money through what's largely an unproductive workforce, thus making true productiveness unattractive. To make matters worse, govt has to subsidize the foreign things we resort to consuming when dollar is subsidized for importers. Solution to recession is productivity that is competitive enough to be exported and thus serve as an alternative to oil. |

imagine, a painter of garri is now 1k , something that used to sell for 200naira The real situation on ground is bad enough no need exergerating it further. The increase in Garri price could be attributed to increase in dollar price in the sense that cassava can be equally processed into starch and exported for 200% of its old dollar equivalent. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nobody Really Cares, So Hide That Certificate And Just Survive Anyhow by Sibrah: 3:41pm On Jan 10, 2017 |
Oocc: You graduated 15, 10, years ago and still no job yet. You talk to people around about it, to get help but you are mocked behind you and they talk about you and say all sorts of things.
You walk almost all the roads and streets in Lagos in search of job, still no job. Any company you go to, they tell u to apply online whenever they have vacancies.
You stay at home to search for jobs online and neighbours gossip you and say he stays at home doing nothing, instead of him to go out and hustle like his mates. They term you a lazy man.
You come on nairaland to talk about your joblessness and how you have suffered, and you see people advising and some even opting to help, but at the end, you discover it was all but a show. No one wants to help.....Nobody wants to help, even if they can. I even doubt if any man helps any man these days. Mostly they prefer to help women! I've had about 4 different Nairalanders that have opted to help, but they just stop replying when you send them the mail or CV they requested.
You lay on your bed every night, thinking, sometimes praying and crying.. ..soaking your pillows with tears, but it just seem like God is just far away.
The truth is.. ...nobody cares! Nobody gives a damn about you. If you like kill yourself inside your room......nobody cares! You don't have a job for 20 years, nobody cares! You discover that the more you tell people your problems the more they mock you and use you as a topic of discussion, and the more you get frustrated. Nobody helps anybody again in Nigeria.
This is to me and all those nairalanders like me, coming to seek for help......coming to seek for job.....Stop begging for job, stop hoping that someone will help you here. Drop that your certificate, in fact go and hide it(i just did that today) Go out there, carry concrete-in-pans on your head and climb a 3- storey building, wash toilets, carry loads for people, work as labourer on site, carry packages from container to store, carry cement, do all sorts of dirty jobs and make money.. ....no matter how small. At least you won't beg anyone, or hope on anyone. Just do anything to survive, cos no one will help you except you.

Governance is getting better in the North while South keeps retrogressing, except Lagos and perhaps Cross River. keep running ur mouth. If Nigeria stops importing today, where does that leave Lagos and NCS ? Except Lagos keep attracting the Dangote refineries and keep up with the Lake rice trend to help shore up revenue no progress is made in the real sense. |

Politics › Re: IS BEING A CHRISTIAN A REASON TO BE THIS STUPID by Sibrah: 9:03am On Jan 10, 2017 |
PatriotTemidayo: Sir, I don't know if you're a bonafide member of any of the top Pentecostal Churches but I think you spoke out of ignorance or sheer joke. First, I am a strong member that have a mind of my own and refused to be mind-controlled into believing that everything they do is right and from God Cuz its not true. We obey the Law of men, as if its they law Of God. Secondly, what kinda school Did Jesus ask them to build, if truly according to you, Jesus ask them to build school (dont quote what Jesus Didn't say sir) Thirdly, about who they use the money for, the answer is square and simple; We dont know and that is the problem. As a worker in RCCG, I know for sure that money must leave each parishes and account must be made at provincial headquarters otherwise the pastor must be queried. I also know that every new parish is only allowed to not remit for only the first 6 months (when they've not even gotten any member) and thereafter all collections, except small percentage goes to provincial headquarters. I am also aware that most people in the church, without fear or favour, are poor. They only come to churches on Sundays with flashy cloths but beneath those shinning cloths is deep hunger. Lastly, Churches will rather build world-class auditoria than help its members. They will rather build schools that are nt affordable than train the children of their congregants in school. They'll buy private jets instead of empower the widows and when people cant come to church, they call it backsliding........ These are not what Jesus Was. Jesus Preached on the mountain and yet fed the people. He didn't build a four-wall auditorium but he built men and women into strong walls that cannot be penetrated. He helped the widows and said to his disciples: "Do not carry two coats,,,,,or two sandals", But these days, our men of God have trailer loads of coats, and ship-filled sandals. This is not the Gospel Jesus Preached, that's why He Asked If He'll Meet Faith When He Comes Back. Jesus Understand What You Don't understand, and please don't doubt me when I say so. What did Jesus preach then? Stop assuming things u don't know. |

What do people mean by church profit? Who uses the profit and what for? PatriotTemidayo: When Jesus was about to Leave, He asked if he'll ever meet Faith in the world when He comes back. He didn't bother about meeting churches in His Second Coming because He Knew there would be abundance of auditoria, some 10Kilometer by 10 Kilometer. To be more direct, our Churches have gone rogue. They build schools that congregants cant afford, their universities are simply out of the reach of even the middle class. And when a person ask question, he or she is vilified and demonised. We can chant hallelujah that the man is removed from office or that the law is suspended but are sure that God And Angels approve of how the church have become Business networks ? Same Jesus commanded the establishment of the school and you & I know that tithes and offering aren't force down our throats. Tax is forced into the law and enforced by force yet you have taxpayers paying huge tuition fee and people don't complain. Truth is, devil is using people like you against the church. |
