I can bet the so called ugly girl will get a good man before Ms. Halle Berry wannabe because she doesn't base her life on her beauty like OP. Women and their mental issues. |

ogodomi: However, a member of RCCG in New York told Saharareporters that Pastor Titi frequently expresses concern the abandonment of the family and this source pointed us to the pastor's Facebook page where she made an entry on July 14, 2009 to the effect that, “Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”. This source disclosed to our correspondent that Pastor Titi's entry was an indirect reference to the fact that Pastor Adeboye was basking in the glory whose foundation was made by her father. Gbawe: He is wrong to include Obama as a case in point but I think he is saying that Naturalized Citizens can vie for certain office. He is correct as far as that. The author might be guilty of trying to make his case too eagerly he overshot the mark a bit. Dude he is not even saying that, this is what he said - The law says if you live in America for certain period of time you can vote and be voted. and that is clearly not true because living in a country for a certain period of time does not automatically mean you are naturalized which is what it takes to be voted for. Then using Obama has his example just pushes him over the edge of wrongness. If the foundation for why he should be voted for is not solid, then it means he has no leg to stand on does it not? Instead of trying to to do wuruwuru to the answer for Lagos State Governorship, why not go and run for governorship where he won't have to prove anything? VoodooDoll: Erm, Guys!!!
Obama is half white and half black, But ALL American. Obama also brought up by his white sside,
IF you have Igbo "Lagosian" that is half Yoruba, half Igbo, but All Lagosian and brought up by their Yoruba side , then no reason why he or she wouldn't have a shot.
But Your Census number of 43% is so wrong, and ludicrous! WTF does the bold have to do with anything? |
Politics › Re: I Foresee Igbo Becoming Lagos Gov By Okafor by Sicherheit(m): 7:39pm On Aug 02, 2011 |
Gbawe: Arnold Schwarzenegger was Not born in the USA (he was born in Austria) yet he became Governor of California as a naturalized American. The authors point is therefore still valid. As per the thread topic, I think the principle is correct. Any Lagosian can aspire to lead Lagos. Ultimately , when merit becomes the main criteria for securing public office , the issue in the future will hopefully be about getting the best individual for the job rather than a focus on which ethnic group he/she belongs to. How can his statement be valid if he is using Obama has his case in point? He may have schooled in the US but he's obviously not schooled about the US |

If one more person types "incur God's wrath" in this matter, they will incur my wrath. What nonsense is this? These churches have managed instill fear in people's minds they are afraid to call them out on their rascality. The family obviously knows more than we do about what kind of "entity" RCCG is or they won't be demanding things that suggests RCCG is a regular business/corporation instead of a church. |

"It helps us to promote the values that are essentially ours, that defines our origin, but perhaps more importantly, it helps the executive arm give meaning to the outlook of government. It will help us complete the administration of justice, not just the apprehension of offenders we are concerned about or the management of civil order, but also, where there are disputes, offenders are apprehended, they get justice very quickly and efficient time and you need good courts to do that, including civil disputes", Fashola added. Mcleo007: @poster, you need a clear enlightenment as regards certain religious rites and norms. Your views (if at all they are original to u)as expressed here in are stretched across a lame and subliminal view point. Do a google search on Catholican rites, tradition(much emphasis on this) and history. All three are interwoven as there can't be rites without a tradition; so also can there not be proper traditions without an accentuation to the course of history. Free your mind and listen to the dictates of pure reason. There is more to Christianity than meets the eye (bible). And mind u, the bible though inspired by God was written by men- the writers had their motives and target audience, which is why the Roman Catholic church took its time to evolve through the course of history.tes of pure reason. Dr. Solarin says that "blacks hold onto their God just as the drunken man holds on to the street lamp post--for physical support only." He paints an interesting analogy from a childhood memory. He made a long journey with his mother once, who gave him a "bicycle" to help him finish the journey--which was really just a wheel he had to hit with a stick to keep it going. He says that without the "bicycle" he would never have made the forty mile walk, but upon reflection he realized that he had really carried himself and the bicycle all along. Religion is like that bicycle, Tai says. We only need it when we lack the confidence and determination to face the world alone Profound!!! |

Education › Re: Covenant University: Accounting Student Graduates With 4.99 GPA by Sicherheit(m): 1:25pm On Jul 27, 2011 |
Cuddlemii: U people better not incur the wrath of God. You have nothing to prove that it's false so why criticize the graduate in that manner. I congratulate him any which ways because he must have put in some sort of effort. I don't think Covenant University would want to expose themselves to ridicule cos Oyedepo is a strategic business man who will make sure that the guy is intelligent & worth showing off. He knows ICAN, ACCA & all might want to test the guy's ability. So trust me Oyedepo wears his thinking cap.
As for all of you judging private university & Covenant, please learn to treat people as individuals and not generalizing. There are some dull brains I went to secondary school with who graduated with extremely good grades in the UK. I didn't draw up any conclusion but rejoiced with them because I was uncertain & did not want to make a fool out of myself. Its very possible to become serious in Uni when reality sets in and you get advise from older peers to learn from their mistakes. Excelling in life and productivity in the labour market is about your commitment & individual goals. Its about making yourself the product. The head of my department didn't go to Uni but has several IT certifications but My lord the brain that guy has, he sef knows and shows off. Everyone wants to buy him over too. He is too productive making him indispensable & he is just 28. There is nothing outside IT he doesn't know too.
Stop assuming things. God works in mysterious ways. Maybe the guy was a laughing stock in sch for cheating and he committed his life to God and God has written that he would be great. Incur God's wrath because we question someone's GPA? Are you ok? It is you who should be careful and not incur God's wrath by bringing him into any nonsense. All these follow the leader leader sheep who think anything connected to church is untouchable are so pathetic. No wonder they are being led down the path of destruction by the noses. Eeediots. |
