Book smart but not street smart. Majority of this Covenant University graduates are the most socially awkward adults I've ever met. Put them in a work environment and they show a complete lack of intuitiveness, always waiting for someone to tell them what to do. Covenant University is not breeding work ready mature adults, they are breeding "intelligent" adolescents.  undecided

You misunderstand me.

If I were an information person, does the rule apply me having 12 threads on the front page?? Simple!!

Just say if you agree to that development.
Why do you want to turn a small mole into a disease? Go to the politics section, on any given day majority of the threads in the front page are by Aloy/Emeka, Ileke Idi, Alh_harem etc. On the romance Section, if it is not 190 or BABE it is Mrs Chima. On the Travel section, it is Justwise, on Family it is women like Chaircover, Jennykadary. In the Property section Lawyer's threads dominate. These folks know where to find interesting topics, post it and have a way of keeping the thread alive. Why should they be penalized for being creative. If Mr. Seina has 100 informational threads about automobile on the front page, he is not breaking any rules, he is actually in line with why the auto section was created. I have never seen where people complain about acquiring information. In a civilized world, people will be trying to improve themselves so that they can catch up with their knowledagebale counterparts, in Nigeria we try to pull them down to our mediocre level
Least we forget, the rule states NO MORE THAN 3 ADVERTS PER DAY. What is hard to understand? undecided

Does it mean he can have as many information threads as possible?

I think this is a misconception.

Kind regards.
How is it a misconception? The operative word there is INFORMATION! This is what the auto section is really about before it was over run with adverts. undecided

Siena:
In addition to this move, I think the Auto section would benefit greatly from a Feedback Forum, whereby potential clients could look through, and see comments and scores accredited dealers / sellers have received. It will also help dealers know which buyers are considered "high risk." This is especially useful to dealers that rely on pre-order.
Mr. Siena, I always look forward to reading  your comments because you are highly intelligent, humble and fair minded man and if appointing moderators was by voting you will no doubt win this section in a landslide. I agree with you that there should be a section for feedback, as a matter of fact I think having a very well monitored feedback section will take care of the issue this submitting information is trying to correct. A dealers rating on the feedback section is all the accreditation he needs. If you go on yahoo market place, sellers have ratings by their by names and these ratings are based on the number of positive feedbacks they get.
However, before we put a feedback section, certain things need to be clearly defined before we start putting labels on people. Questions like this need to be aswered - How many times can a dealer deliver vehicles late before he can be seen as unreliable? What category will we put a dealer who realizes half way through that for some reason or the other he is unable to complete a client's transaction and returns the money? What about the dealer who after and agreement has been made realizes, he's going to need more money to complete the transaction and goes back to the client?  Another thing that should be monitor on the feedback section is the dealers who come disguised as their own supporters to shut the aggrieved party up by bereting and telling them they want to spoil someone's business and dealers who use other IDs to open praising threads for themselves. How will the issue of dealers with multiple IDs be handle?
In my humble opinion, for this feedback section to work, I think we need a UNBIASED/NON DEALER to be in charge of it.

Why are we acting like the Admin has a stake in the profit being made by the dealers and therefore he can be held responsible for deals that go wrong? That the admin has taken this steps is a big credit to him because the truth is, he doesn't have to least we forget Nairaland is not an online shopping site. People have been buying cars without the information that is being requested, which means they already have confidence. This next step is just to help boost their confidence level some more.
Maybe it will help if people see Nairaland like Mile 12 market where everyone from all walks of life come to sell their wares and you as customer use your gut instinct to choose who to buy from. If that gut instinct fails you, will you turn around and sue the people who own the land Mile 12 is located?

Guy, are you married?
Bros, I'm sure I all my response was condoning the man's behavior you won't ask me that question.

coogar:
does he sound like a married man to you? anyone advising a woman to move out of her matrimonial house with a baby in the marriage can't possibly know the true value of the marriage institution. he probably feels marriage works the same way as boyfriend/girlfriend tiffs where either of the party can move out and move in as he/she pleases.
First of all, where is the matrimonial home? It can't be the one where the husband comes and goes as he pleases, chats with other women in front of her, begs other women to send him naked picture? Matrimonial home where she has to beg him to stay home at night in case she goes into labor? My sister this matrimonial home you are talking about, is it different from the one where she left all alone with the baby while her husband goes out to drink with his friends, the home with the husband who brings nothing to the table but takes? Is that the Matrimonial home you speak of? Then my dear, you have big issues and it is a waste of time discussing with you.
Since we are all praying for each other, my prayer is that all the women who are urging this woman to stay preserve this wonderful matrimonial home be gifted with the same kind in ten folds.
Do I hear an Amen?

When I hear stories about what some men do to women, I used to wonder how they can get away with it but since I started visiting Nairaland, I understand very well how it is possible. Some women's mentality are so warped, even men who wouldn't normally take advantage will find themselves doing it.  undecided
The woman gives a long list of what she has endured before, during and after pregnancy with her husband (he does not deny it) and then she said she slapped him once and all these other so called women can fixate on is that she slapped him. See warped minds, O ga o! undecided

You did not see where she said it was because he was wearing dark glasses at night and she told him not to before the mistake him for arm robbers and kill him.
Maybe you should calm down and read the thread very well before you respond because the way you're quickly jumping into conclusion so that you can be seen as a correct wife material is as unattractive as being a doormat. undecided

This I agree with . . .  slap him and walk away.

Don't slap him and expect to see a change. He's her husband and not some 6-year old for God's sakes!

My prayer for you is that you get a wife who will slap some sense into you . . . Amen!

I've seen marriages that started out worse but today, they've settled into a mutualy respectuly, loving and caring relationship and beleive me, this did not come about by slaps!

I cannot entirely blame the man because when a woman resorts to nagging, lose mouth and worst of all, violence, she looses her right to be treated like a human being.

She should have known how her husband reacts to situations and learn to follow him so. That my firend, it maturity.

BTW, do people still attend marriage courses these days ? I wonder . . . .
You don't have to pray that for me because I myself pray that if I ever treat my wife in any manner that diminishes her as a person, she should slap me.
I can't believe I'm having this argument with a woman, e be like say some naija women don follow join their western sisters in masochistic tendencies cheesy

Why don't we ask Titilayo Arowolo about Moronic advice. I'm sure you are one of them who think you must die in marriage to gain value.
If you had any sense you will know that when a situation has reached a boiling point like this, the best thing to do is for everyone to get a time out. At least if she moves out, it will call the attention of the elders to their problems and they can help them work it out than remaining in the house, slapping each other until one person is pushed to the wall and reacts more violently.

The doofus of a man is obviously irresponsible and he should hang his head in shame for giving his virgin wife and STD. Some people are just really really terrible!

And the nonsense that because you dated someone so therefore you must know them inside out is just that - nonsense. People are people, you can not know the finish. My twin sister still displays some behavior that surprise me and we grew up together. Why on earth will you slap your husband  huh  huh

Don't you have respect? What kind of anger engulfed you? Were you possessed!

Woman listen  . . . . . Nobody can ever be as rude as me but there are somethings you just DON'T say. The things you said to your husband, no matter the provocation, are just not acceptable. Don't you know you are a woman? Do you know the power that lies in your tongue? Don't you have self control  huh

I swear if you were my younger sister,  I would bet you up just to get some sense into you.

You need to develop some sort of dignity and stop being a drama  queen.

@ GP

I know you feel a deep seated anger for your wife and so you want to punish her, but I will tell you what I tell my man . . .  Punishing a woman doesn't help her, it only makes her bitter.

If you really want your wife to change, you need to be a better person, you need to teach by example; you need to make her understand that she's far too old to be behaving like a child.

You guys have a kid for God's sakes, uou both need to GROW UP!
Why don't YOU SHUT UP!
Respect a man who has no respect for her? You are okay? Being a doormat is not an attractive quality to men, let me clear that up for you if that's what you have been hearing and aspiring to.
As a man, if I ever treat my wife the way that woman's husband has treated her, I pray she slaps me, maybe it will knock some senses into me.
See how he came here and was very selective in what he responded to and how he twisted her words. If all the men on this thread are honest, they will tell you they know the real deal from the moment they read his reply.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram:we Have 100 Volunteer Suicide Bombers For 2011 High Profile Targets by Sicherheit(m): 10:49pm On Jul 21, 2011
RICHIE BOI:
The Boko Haram sect has dropped another bombshell.
The group said at the weekend that it has screened about 100 volunteers for sundry suicide attacks on high profile targets  planned for 2011.

Some of the targets  are the presidential villa, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Jigawa Governor, Sule Lamido, that of Niger, Babangida Aliyu; and former Speaker, Bello Massari.

The group also disclosed that for 2012, a larger number of faithful has been lined up for the fierce Jihad that would be occasioned by suicide bombings against what they tag illegal Federal and State governments of infidels.

Abu Zaid, spokesman for the group that has left in its trail tons of murdered citizens, and destruction of properties worth tens of millions of naira, maintained that their quest is total islamization of Nigeria, and not in just 12 northern states as reported in the media.

He said “we never made such statement we wanted sharia in 12 states. The person who said this was one Usman Al- Zawahiri , and we don't know him , in fact our investigation revealed that he is SSS operative brought in to discredit us and give an impression we are divided . I am the only spokesperson appointed by our Amir, Mallam Abubakar Shekau, that is why I gave you this video and pictures of the bomber which clearly shows I am the authentic spokesman for the group"

Zaid who spoke in Hausa, described the Force Headquarters attack as successful.

According to him  " of course we planned it as a suicide attack right from the outset . The attacker left his will to his family, we were with him and he bid everyone farewell. He was calm and looked peaceful even when he had decided to give his life away. Many brothers envied him and wished it were there turn to act, so far we have screened nearly 100 persons for suicide attacks for this year alone in Nigeria, more than this number are getting ready for next year ."

Still on the Force Headquarters blast, the group which maintained that it believes in the cause of the Al  Quaeda based in Somalia and other parts of Africa said " the police lied when it said the car was a V  Boot . It was an ash colored Honda 86. We are surprised as to why the police are confused anytime we strike. The bomb we used was a readymade bomb which we acquired from abroad and we are going to use several of them in future attacks"

The group which warned that Nigerians should take them seriously said many lives would be lost " before we overthrow this illegal government."

According to Zaid , all members of the sect have sworn to be faithful, and that no member dared undermine the cause of Boko Haram saying " if our leader mall am Abubakar Shekau decides to undermine this Jihad we shal not hesitate to kill him , "
Taking out the trash gangsta way!
Good on them.

This is really a step in the right direction. Kudos to the moderators and the admin for taking the step but does this mean it's only meant for Naija based dealers? What about dealers who don't have contact address in Nigeria but have had good performance in the past. Will exceptions be made for dealers like that? We don't have to live in Naija to be friends of Nigeria and Nairaland.
Keep up the good work.
