What is she talking about, it's a universal thing and if Igbos don't send their girls to school, how do you account for the fact that there are more educated Igbo girls than the boys? ![]() |
blank:According to the Experts. Car trouble symptoms: Car jerks when you accelerate to gain speed.According to what you have written, the bold paragraph could be your problem. With Naija mechanics you have to be specific or they will do trial and error on your car, so maybe when you take it to them next time tell them to check your vacuum leak. Feedback is welcome so others can learn too. |
ogugua1:We can't curse them when they are alive because they will say it is disrespectful to curse elders, we can't curse them when they are dead because it is disrespectful to curse the dead, when can we curse them then? Men like him lived life like it was meant for only them and saw everybody else like flies on excreta yet people still defend them. Suffer head mentality is plenty in Naija, even the Bible recognize the freedom of cursing those who curse you. So what is your own? ![]() |
@ Fhemmmy Motors I should have asked first, I hope contributions are welcomed. The Auto Section need threads like this, if you don't mind I want to be a contributor. |
5 Car Tire Care Tips 1. Check and Adjust Wheel Alignment The direction your tires track down the road are dependent on the alignment of the two axles (or 4 wheels if you have independent suspension). So, you need to make sure that those two axles are parallel. If they aren’t, then they are working against each other and creating odd wear on the tires. It is recommended that you have this done every 12,000 miles or year. 2. Maintain Proper Air Pressure Improper air pressure in your tires will cause wear. If you don’t have enough pressure, the tire bows in, making the outside of the tires wear. And vice versa if the tires are over-inflated. Luckily, this isn’t an expensive piece of maintenance. You can easily keep your own tires properly inflated by checking them each time you put fuel in your vehicle. 3. Rotate and Re-balance Tires This is a simple service that most auto shops will do for free if you purchased tires from them. Tires are made of rubber and they naturally wear out. Since your tires can never be perfectly balanced, your tires may wear in a less-than-uniform pattern. Rotating your tires (moving them to a different axle) will increase the chances that your tires wear more evenly. The recommendation is to rotate and re-balance every 6,000 miles or six months. Here’s a how to video for rotating your tires yourself: 4. Check and Replace Suspension and Steering Components This is something that your mechanic should be looking for when they are aligning the wheels. Worn parts can affect your ability to properly align the car. 5. Maintain Good Shocks and Struts If you keep fresh shocks and struts in your car, your tires will last longer. Some recommend replacing shocks and struts every 50,000 miles. But it really depends on your vehicle and driving conditions. |

Someone will have to be extremely stupid to go and order Garri and Sugar in a fast food place. Even if you can't cook, there are some foods you shouldn't be buying in an eatery. ![]() |

Bros, I'm sorry oh I just saw that you are posting the tips also. I did not read it well, I thought they were motivational/inspirational quotes. You on the ball, kudos! |
I did not know this thread is still going. Well done in keeping it going, the videos are a nice touch but you must remember that it is not everybody that can watch videos online and maybe make allowance for that. Keep it up. |
I've been to churches where the pastors tell the congregation to do things like raise one leg up or start spinning around or banging their heads hard or jump up and down for no apparent reason and I wonder what that has to do with salvation. I think some times these pastors just like to see how much power they have over these people. ![]() |

Simple English - The Song was not worth all the energy that was poured into addressing its content. By the way, I think the writer read NL, some of the quotes used in the articles are from this thread ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-728064.0.html |

I agree it is all in the tone, I don't think I've met any diplomatic Naija women like my mother and my Aunty. By the time they are done, you will be prostrating and thanking them before you know you have just been corrected. Both of them brought me up half and half, so I know my future spouse won't have this problem. |

Are they forcing you to read it or are you admitting you don't have self control? Is it your life, how does it concern you what someone else chooses to post, abi who died and made you post monitor? ![]() |
You have some of the cleanest cars I've seen on this section. Kudos |
I think OP is female. She doesn't talk about what she's bringing into the relationship but we know she thinks the guy is financially ok. That's all that matters to some women. ![]() |

1) How To Keep Her Home one thing a MIL should never do is tell a daughter-in-law how to keep her home. So that means no comments on her housecleaning, the way she places her furniture, or her visible dishes in the sink. None of it. 2) My Son Looks Skinny, Don’t You Feed Him? Is that a dig on cooking skills or the ability to keep her husband healthy? Sadly, it’s probably both. First of all, the presumption that a grown man cannot feed himself makes my skin crawl. But on the cooking side, mean mothers-in-law often love nothing more than to put down a wife’s cooking skill 3) He Was Mine Before He Was Yours It’s common sense that she raised your husband, but you are his wife and she is his mother, two unique and starkly different roles (God willing!). No reminder is necessary. 4) I Would Never Let My Child Do THAT! I don’t care if it something as simple as leave food on their plate or throw darts as their brother, what you did with your child 30, 40, 50 years ago is utterly inconsequential to me. I am the mother and I will respond the way I see fit, got it? 5) The Baby Stopped As Soon As You Left Stopped crying, fussing, acting out, it doesn’t matter. The implication is that once you were out of the picture, your child behaved fine…for her…probably because you couldn’t get the job done. Might you want to rethink those words? 6) Physical Appearance Do not comment on your daughter-in-law’s recent bad haircut, weight gain, added grey hairs, tired eyes, or any other physical asset, unless it’s complimentary. I can assure you that you may have no ill intention behind it, but I can also guarantee you that there are some women out there who will take it the wrong way. And some comments are just comments, like “Why don’t take a rest, you look a little tired. I’ll watch the baby”, but some are plain mean, “I notice the grey hairs are just multiplying, time for a touch-up?’ And those words are simply asking for trouble http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/life/in-law-faux-pas-6-things-to-never-say-to-your-daughter-in-law-2520525/#photoViewer=6 |

Seun:Seun, this is very impressive what you are doing. Maybe this will encourage more people to be mentors to up and coming youngsters. A mentoring section in the Career Section may not be a bad idea. |
You people are acting like what the OP wrote is false. The truth is in Naija today, connection is what gets you in and if you don't have those connections you have to be ready to give something up. I have friends calling me and asking me to speak to my uncle to help them because they found out the GM of one company is the brother of my uncle's friend. One of my Aunty's friend complained bitterly of recent because her daughter told her one of the area uncles who promised her a job is using style to ask her out, mind you the area uncle is older than the mother and knew the girl since she was in primary school. These things happen and pretending it does not and saying the OP is whining is just plain stoopid. ![]() |
