....admission letter, filled out form that u will be given in the plane few hrs before landing in Canada, if u are staying outside campus, name and address of where u will be staying and ur passport of cos.....just for incase purpose....have all ur sponsorship letters in ur carryon...not necessary, but just have them there in case...u will be asked about ur school and the program u plan going for....stay calm and answer sharp and cool.....they wont spend that muh time with u are the queues are always crazy....so, expect like 2mins interview....guys please add anything missing...

Henkyz: @bro siga and dealexad, I did medicals and paid tuition and submitted other requirements on 24/10. Just 2 days ago I was instructed to present my new start date as the former was for Sept/fall.. I did so, and today I tracked and saw the change.. I know its soo positive!!! Can't wait!

London (CNN) -- A nurse at the hospital that was duped by a prank call from two Australian radio DJs concerning Prince William's pregnant wife, Catherine, has apparently committed suicide, the hospital confirmed Friday.

The nurse "was recently the victim of a hoax call," King Edward VII Hospital said in a media statement.

The DJs impersonated Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles in the prank call, in which some details of the Duchess of Cambridge's condition and care were given.

The nurse who died was the person who first took the hoax call and transferred it through to Catherine's ward, the hospital's public relations company said.

The hospital named her as Jacintha Saldanha and said she had worked there for more than four years as an "excellent nurse," who was well respected by co-workers.

The hospital "had been supporting her throughout this difficult time," the statement said.

The Duchess of Cambridge was discharged from the hospital Thursday after treatment for acute morning sickness.

A St. James's Palace spokesman said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jacintha Saldanha.

"Their Royal Highnesses were looked after so wonderfully well at all times by everybody at King Edward VII Hospital, and their thoughts and prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha's family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time."

Separately, a palace spokesman told CNN: "At no point did the palace complain to the hospital about the incident. On the contrary, we offered our full and heartfelt support to the nurses involved and hospital staff at all times."

The hospital's chief executive, John Lofthouse, said, "Everyone is shocked by the loss of a much loved and valued colleague."

London's Metropolitan Police said they were notified around 9:35 a.m. (4:35 a.m. ET) on Friday that a woman was found unconscious. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are treating the death as "unexplained," they said.

Audio of the call posted online suggested a woman spoke briefly to the DJs, who host a show for the 2Day FM radio station in Sydney, before the call was put through to the ward early Tuesday morning.

The hospital said Wednesday that it deeply regretted the call had been put through.

The radio show apologized for the call Wednesday, saying it "was done with light-hearted intentions."

Its two DJs, Mel Greig and Michael Christian, continued to tweet about the call on Thursday and earlier Friday, promising "more on the #royalprank." By Friday evening, a spokeswoman for the station told CNN in a statement that the pair will "not return to the show until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy." She said Greig and Christian were "deeply shocked" by the incident.

The Twitter accounts for the pair were taken down.

Talking about the call on air Thursday, Greig said: "They were the world's worst accents ever. We were sure 100 people at least before us would've tried the same thing. ... We were expecting to be hung up on -- we didn't even know what to say when we got through."

Angry comments have been posted on the 2Day FM Facebook page since the news of the nurse's death broke.

"This death is on your conscience," reads one post. Another says, "Blood on your hands."

....u can pay ur tuition through the bank wire transfer to the school....or credit card if u have one.....then have them email ur tuition receipt to you cos, waiting for the hardcopy fit long small.....as per off campus housing, have tried gettin in touch with ur school to see if they have home stay options...then u can use the docs for now and when u get here , move.... i believe u get friends to stay with ........I am really not sure how this works....if u have someone that can giv u their lease agreement or a conditional rental agreement....

FYI ..... For those who have gotten their TRV and are on there way to Canada....please make sure you take the best anti-malaria medication you can lay ur hands on to clear your system....there is no malaria here and if you fall ill ...you might end up in isolation as it will be difficult to treat you with next to little anti-malaria medications here....so, best advise....jab urself with some before leaving Naija...

So I printed a scaned copy of the new acceptance letter with start date for winter from my inbox and submitted.. Hope no problem as for a printed scanned copy?

House share or room? Her school is Humber college.

....she can get a basement appt with a room from $650 to $750 utilities included....she can also get a room in some houses or appts...but its from $500 lowest...which is very rare....just budget $700....the good thing is she has a whole wide range of places she can rent....there are buses moving every 5, 10mins heading to Humber side....so, no wahala

I havnt really been considering canada as a study destination cos of the sponsor surname thing. And also the fact that with second class lower i cant get admission to masters degree. But reading through this thread i can see now that one can actually safely apply for graduate diploma. Its not must that one must apply for masters. please any one know if i my sponsor can be my sisters husband? He'll pay my tuiton directly to school for 1yr up front and have my maintanace funds deposited in my account.. Any sugestion??

...anyone can sponsor u....just ensure ur sponsor writes a solid letter and u urself....ensure u package am wella....there should be a solid reason he is sponsoring u....infact...just say ur sister raised u and since they got married u have been living with them till u moved on ur own once u got a job....are u still single? cos if u are , u can still claim na dem place u still dey stay sef....no wahala...just package am well....

wemi85: @ all.Please my friend has collected his medical instructions. The two conditions were one year tuition and he should also pay for board. He is already sorting out the tuition but the problem with the board is that his school George Brown College does not offer on campus accommodation just homestay for anyone who is interested. His parents have two family friends that live in Toronto about 45mins from the school. They are both willing to give him a letter to CDHC saying he can stay with them, send their lease agreement and any other document necessary. My friend will also write a letter to CDHC explaining that his school does not offer on campus accommodation. What do you guys think? Is that a good alternative? Please i need answers oh, his 30days deadline has started counting. Thanks....

....Yea...George Brown is located downtown and nothing like that....he can use the family friends lease and all.....also, advise him to call the school and have them may, not sure, may be write a letter stating there is no boarding on campus....

Does this mean having strong family ties in Canada and no strong tie in Nigeria may work against an applicant?

I'm beginning to reason in that line as the larger reason is "you not returning after study" and "Family ties" is one of the factors for making such conclusions.

...Visa issuance is basically at the discretion of the issuer....I have seen instances where someone that has ties wella for Canada was issued visa and others were denied....so, with those two scenarios, I can not really say it hurts to have ties in Canada than in Naija or other way....but if you have a job in Naija and able to have a leave of absence letter written for u...that will help...but for those that are young and not working yet....u will have to find a way to show u are heading back after studies.....see, these guys know not everyone is gonna come back ...all na just propaganda on their path....why did they create CEC if they are worried about us leavin after studies....

My reason for asking is that if i re apply in April 2013 for the Fall semester which should run from September 2013 to August 2014, My Passport would have expired and I was made to understand that you must make sure your travel document is valid for the period of your stay before applying for a visa.

...ur passport can be renewed before expiration....u will be given a study permit at the Port of Entry...so, no wahala...all u need is at least 6months validity ...
