earthrealm:
from naijahotjobs

However, I was reliably informed by a Senior Staff of NNPC {handling the GT Training Programme}, that they are making provision for a maximum of 500 GT. Thus, the remaning 240 - 300 slots will be shared among EH, OP, and Contract Hires.
if this is true, only 240 - 300 slots for experienced handshuh!!!!
The above statement was made in the forum u mentioned by one of the guys who is also in this forum(Animontee). But,permit me to say that someone whose posts have always been correct contradited his post by saying that more operators would be employed thanGT.Even common sense will tell one that bosses cannot be more than subordinates(No hard feelngs). The most important thing is to pray that one should be among the desired number whether few or many.

What i heard was that the person with the list is hugging it so tight and takes it every where with him, cos if it leaks he is fired!!!!!!!!

The statement above was just made by member of another forum on NNPC thread.Does that mean that the ranking has been concluded huh

CHOKOAJ:
Guys, we need updates and not all this "tributes". When, how, which , NNPC interview updates pls.
Exactly, update is what we need now so that one could be kept abreast as the events unfold. Most of our guys in this thread seems to have pitched their tents with naijahotjobs(NNPC threads),thereby neglecting this one.FIDELISM,ANIMONTEE and likes with different user names there should please help this thread by making it alive with current info.It is not too good for a thread like this to get lost amidst other threads in jobs/vacancies section of nairaland.

As it is right now, the ranking is still on going. The final list of the DPR guys have been concluded and it is said to be at FCC.Guys who know people there have been checking their names and have been rejoicing pending the time when the successful news will be officially communicated to them.Guys who are successful at both the DPR and NNPC levels will have their names substituted in that of NNPC with those of next most qualified ones. The authentic dates when NNPC will start distributing letters still remain a subject of discussion. Some guys believed letters will start rolling out this month ending, with disengagement notice of three months expected to be given to current employers, while some asserted that the final decisive whistle will start blowing three months after the last date of the interview, which is November(with a month disengagement notice given to current employers.)This is no longer a news, just to keep the house warm and alive.Shalom

EducationRe: Lasu 2011/2012 Direct Entry Situation; Be Of Help! by SilaV(op): 7:29pm On Sep 05, 2011
Now that the Post Utme billed for this week has started, the criterial or yardsticks for the selection of DE applicants still remain unknown.I heard that interviews will be conducted for the DE applicant as a means of assessment.Besides,I learnt that the number of 100 level students in Physics department now is less than 10(ten) .The implication of this(if the information is true anyway) is that more DE applicants could be absorbed to join them in 200 level.Could someone
who is an insider help me to confirm these two pieces of information I 'overheard'!

Most  importantly,I need someone to link me up because I desperately need this admission.God bless you as you respond.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Your NNPC Interview Experience (EH & GT) by SilaV: 3:34pm On Sep 05, 2011
D individual scores obtained during the interview wil be ranked, and selection wil be based on the ranking.then, offer letter wil be sent to those that are succesful.d letter wil state ur basic salary, and other allowance.in d letter,u wil be invited for medicals, after which a three month period wil be given for disengagement.ranking is on-going.wishin u al the best.

The above statement was made by a forum member of a popular job site.If this information is anything to go by,then one should go on ones knees and start praying for divine favour. The truth is just that one as gone far in this recruitment process and I can't just imagine how one will feel if things don't go as expected(God forbid!).Can't help but count the number of months(if it will be up to that),days, hours and seconds left before the final decisive whistle will blow.GOD DEY.

Foreign AffairsRe: Gaddafi’s Daughter Gives Birth In Algeria by SilaV: 8:43am On Aug 31, 2011
The truth is just that Gaddafi transformed Libya and also made life comfortable for his people, but then, must he cling on to power?Must he turn Libya into his own personal property?Does that prevent him from handing over to other prominent Libyan to govern and contribute their quota in the development of Libya? He declined from being a nice administrator to a tyrant.A point of lesson to other world leaders who who are power-drunk.Gaddafi would have made history by being one of the best presidents ever lived but for his inordinate love for power!

During d ntaview i saw one of dem me scoring 40/50. The criteria acordi to d fomat given nnpc by philips includ. Knwleg of nnpc- 5marks. Dressi 5 marks ,ability 2 analyse 10. Ability to think outside comfort zone 10. The remaini 3 i can't remember. 2 are 5 each and the other 10. I saw him scoring me 8 in the 10 marks and 4 in d 5 marks. Each of them in d panel has d scoring sheet. One of them even told me said he hope to in one town in my state. I was wonderi . When i got home i discovered that that is where one of their subsidiaries is. I just prayed that that man didn't give of false hope. t home i discovered that that is where one of their subsidiaries is. I just prayed that that man didn't give of false hope.

I don't really think the criteria you listed for the award of scores cut across boarder. Not everybody was asked questions on NNPC:personaly,I was not asked any question on NNPC probably they had enough questions to ask from the work experience in my CV.I work as an OND holder in a multinational food and beverage coy with exposures to pressurize vessels and HMI which they also use .Hence, before they knew what was happening,I had spent 25 mins with them. Only God knows what they actually want. All the best to every interviewee.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Your NNPC Interview Experience (EH & GT) by SilaV: 10:54pm On Aug 29, 2011
I don't believe that the medicals will take a duration of three whole month.Even the interview that involved about 4,900 individuals did not last up to three months let alone the process of medicals(meant for number that is less than 4,900: since not everybody will definitely be selected-bitter truth). Now, after the medicals,I think they will get back to successful candidates and advise them to give a notice of three months disengagement of service to their empolyer.I think this is where the issue of three months comes in.The whole recruitment process should not last more than one year: at most Trainees are expected to resume at the training ground in January next year, hoping to meet you guys there!!!

I believe someone can be of help here!!!
The post is not ambiguous in any way.It was clearly written,in the advert, that DE applicants will not write any form of test. Before,LASU used to conduct both post UTME/DE test together, but with DE applicants given different, more advanced questions that are not multichoice(objectives) but purely theoretical and this cuts across all the courses. That is my first point.
My second point is a call for help to be linked up since tests will no longer be a yardstick again;it boils down to 'man knows man"

EducationLasu 2011/2012 Direct Entry Situation; Be Of Help! by SilaV(op): 7:12pm On Aug 19, 2011
T his is to reach out to the Direct Entry applicants(2011/2012) who chose LASU. Since the advent of Post UME, getting admitted through Direct Entry into LASU has been a function of MERIT,with the standards made obvious to everyone. Some friends(with HND) in my place of work were able to secure admission without any connection whatsoever to study courses of their choices. They chose LASU largely because of its proximity to both their work environment and houses. Now,I obtained this year DE form with the hope of getting a high score and secure admission on a level of merit having prepared well for their post utme/de exams.

I was shocked beyond my own imagination when I read from the post utme avert that DE applicants are EXEMPTED from taking the test. The whole scenerio now boils down to who one knows because there is no yardstick for grading of candidates with the same qualification any longer! Being a non-indigent,I feel disadvantaged. The course of study I wish to go for is PHYSICS and I have HND in ELect/Elect with upper credit, still a young guy.Do we have others that have similar ordeal with me?Share your views/situations/condition and let us chart away forward.

Is there anybody in the house who can directly or indirectly be of help to me.I mean some one who is really an insider that can help directly or link me up? I wouldn't mind to "negotiate".NO scam please!!!! Your sincere responses and contributions will be highly appreciated.

ojbaba95:
"When are you going to be available for this job? OR How long notification do you need to take up this job?"

What bearing does this have on the interview, any indication of interest?

Were u asked the question during the interview not the PPA form?

Two of my friends told me they were asked but not everyone, i guess!
I was asked a similar question and I told them, 'immediately".One of them laughed and they rephrased the question this way,"what is the maximum notification you will give to your present employer if you are offered this job" and I told them, "one month".
Only God knows the criteria for final selection because the interview seems relatively very "simple" for everybody.
@everybody,I want to know the pay package for entry level please.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What To Expect In The NNPC Job Interview by SilaV: 8:46am On Aug 19, 2011
Please, who knows the basic salary for entry graduate level inNNPC? When will they start contacting successful candidates?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Your NNPC Interview Experience (EH & GT) by SilaV: 12:39pm On Aug 18, 2011
The recruitment process so far has been transparent, free and fair.If someone like me and some of my friends whom I 'know' very well could be invited for the interview, then at least I can give it 95% in terms of fairness. The interview experience generally was interesting by almost all the interviewees I chatted with both one on one,on line and on phone.Everybody seems optimistic because the panelists were friendly.I am bit lost, even as at present, as to what the panelists actually want.I mean knowing what they are looking out for and the criteria for the final selection process is still a hard nut to crack for me.

Please, who knows the pay for entry level and like how long will the training last?
