Listen my source warn me that it's top coy policy neva 2 let info out. Even as I speak myself n my cousin are nt sure everythin is prayer until it is released officially followin all necesary approval. I tell U I neva belief thins culd in this country dis way honestly. I used 2 see naija as anything goes. Those who top mgt staff dont even know d content of d list. That's why dey cant giv pple genuine info, because HR right now most guarded in d towers.
Good job,Bros and may God bless you for sharing this info with the house.I am happy for one thing; that the recruitment process is still on course. The area of immense concern to most of the hopefuls now is the issue of total number of slots to be absorbed. Some guys were mentioning figures ranging from 145, 350 to 450 , claimimg that NNPC doestn't need staff now cos the existing ones are redundant. Some even said that NNPC does not have the financial strenght to employ more than the figures earlier written.Unclesty, many thanks to you, once again, for your good understanding of real situation as per the number of slots; even some top staff don't know but can't tell their guys pestering them.Hence, they give them unreal figures.

@Lightnote,your point and contribution is noted.
@Obinoscopy , Plutach and others,I hail oh and thanks for keeping the thread alive. All is well.

bebrief:
Guys, expect your letters by early next month! First class information. Four best candidates will be picked from each state. The highest from Anambra state scored about 94 points at the interview, forgot his name but he read Mechanical Engineering. This is the much I know, please don't ask me so much questions.

Good luck!
Good job, brother. Thanks for sharing this info.I would be very glad if you would permit me to disagree with you on a particular aspect of this info: that only four candidates will be picked per state. My stance on this issue is not based on the fact that I know anybody at the Towers who is giving me info, but on common sense. Now, let's take a look at this;if only four candiadtes are picked per state,it then means that 148(less than 200 and about 3.02% of the total interviewed candidates) candidates will be employed.I believe that a federal government parastatal like NNPC will never do that.Besides the 'four' you mentioned did not specify whether for each job category(GT, OP,EH and CE), 4 candidates will be picked. Now,let us assume that 4 candidates will be picked for each of the job category ,it means 16 candidate will be pikced per state including the FCT,meaning that 592 candidates will emerge( less that 600 and about 12.08 % of interviewees). This NNPC recruitment is meant to accomodate at least 1000 candidates because it was a massive recruitment and much money has been spent on the exercise, they will view it as being waste of resources to recruit such a few number of candidates. Besides, remember that 2008 recuitmant was cancelled; meaning that the last time they recruited was 2006, hence there is tendency that that they absorb at least 20.04%(about 1000) of the interviewees.
Once again, thanks for your info,it is really appreciated. If my brother, bebrief, won't say I am 'asking too much',I would have asked him to tell us the specific week of the month of November we should be expecting the letters. I might be very wrong in my analysis, but I believe time is a senior factor here:it will tell. The most important thing is that we should pray that the process is concluded successfully without any interference from the 'bigwigs'. My sincere prayer is that irrespective of the number of candidates to be selected we, the forumites(both the 'contributors' and those that that read comment every second without saying anything), shall be considered good for the job and we shall all shake hands at the training ground even as we reveal our identities.Shalom.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Your NNPC Interview Experience (EH & GT) by SilaV: 10:58pm On Oct 26, 2011
@Obinoscopy and others, I want to suggest that we wait till Friday next week(4th November,2011). I am making this suggestion because of the latest info going round now that the process is still on course but the letters are awaiting approval. Some hopefuls even said that they were sure that letters will be out on or before 4th November.Anything outside 4th November, then we can start sending our SOS messages to Mr.President's wall.It is also good to tell us that some hopefuls are of the opinion that the NNPC is passing through a turbulent waters as at present: issue of probe by the national Assembly, fuel subsidy, payment of debt, among others. These issues ,they believe ,are partly responsible for the delay in concluding the recruitment process.Let us just be hopeful and give the maximum best to our present jobs(for those of us that are already working) or continue the searching operation, as the case may be.

Obinoscopy:
@SilaV,
Welldone, thats a very nice suggestion. Its a good move and I think we need to create a special awareness for that in nairaland and naijahotjobs before we take it to facebook. I suggest you spearhead the project, I'm totally behind you on this one and I'm sure the others will also buy this idea.

Regards
Thanks a bunch Obinoscopy and others. The special awareness, I think , does not require the opening of a new thread again.I believe many NNPC hopefuls do check this thread but only decided to play the spectators' role. Now, I believethat if we can all(the hopefuls) agree to create a new facebook identity(not revealing our real identity for obvious reasons) and storm Mr, President's wall with passionate pleas and reasonable write ups void of abusive language,I believe he will pay attention to us.In fact,by the time he receives more than 200 messages on his wall per day on the same issue(NNPC recruitment), he will oder for an investigation.
Personally,I have created a new FB ID and on or before Thursday,my message will be obvious on his wall.
I will also try to make this similar sugesstion on naijahotjobs and see the response of the forumite there; but then,we can start doing something as time is of high essence here.
Suggestions, contributions and criticsms are welcome, please.God bless you all.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Your NNPC Interview Experience (EH & GT) by SilaV: 11:46am On Oct 25, 2011
Hope all the hopefuls are doing great in their respective locations accross the globe! This recruitment exercise, believe me, needs a lot of prayers and I am happy that a fellow forumite,Patorin, had earlier mentioned something related to that.

The information going round in other jobsites, like naijahotjobs, is not really interesting to share. Two of the few respected forumites with correct information ,JesusArmy and Animonte(who is also a forumite here), have released the 'balistic missile'
Sorry, I likened the information to a balistic missile because of its effects on the mind othe hopefuls. The short story is just that the whole recruitment exercise has been put on hold again, reason(s) yet unknown. However some other forumites(at naijahotjobs) are of different view claiming that the 'reliable sources' told them that the process still on going, while others without 'reliable sources ' are professing their faith that God,the Almighty will not allow any man to do such things and as such hopefuls should be expecting their letters between 28 October and 4th November, and letters might even roll out before then.

Now, my personal thought and prayer is that this process,no matter how long it takes, would see the light of the day and will not end up like that of 2008.I have a suggestion to make here: should we register with just an ID(not our real names and contacts) on fa cebook so that will can write to Mr. President and politely express our feelings about this exercise.I mean we can be civic, courteous(not hurling out insult or any language that can be considered vulgar) and write on his wall praying that he interveins personally so that the political and NNPC 'vultures' will not eat our labour.Hey guys, we have dedicated a lot for this process. What happens to the time we used to apply, prepare for the test, travel from within or outside the country to the test venues across the nation, the time we used to prepare and attend the interview, the money spent for all these and above all,the hopes and aspirations after the interview? Yes NNPC,if you ask me,is not the end of the world as some(bitter truth) might not even be called for training at the end of the day,but what we are sayingis that let the process be concluded and allow the best brains(on quota basis )to get the job.On these note,I enjoin my fellow hopefuls to make their comments, criticisms and contributions to what I have written. It is hightime some of us left the spectators seat and write out our ideas.Yes,I know that some of us are already gainfully employed or managing with one firm or the other(including myself:I work with a FMCG multinational),but that does not mean we should not forge ahead if we see a better alternative. Those who(hopefuls) are not yet registered should do so please so that they can enjoy theprivilege of making posts and airing their views.
Contributions, comments, suggestions and criticisms are welcome please.God bless you all.

@neonet and mastermind, I respect your right to make a post, but then I think it is better to open a new thread if you want to advertise.Tnis thread is solely aimed at providing updates on the current nnpc recruitment exercise and it could be annoying for nnpc hopefuls to open the thread in anticipation of reading a new development and meet your advert here(no insult meant please).Try to understand;God bless you.

Syenite:
Sorry for the long absence. Though I have not been completely absent cos I have been reading threads related to this recruitment but not contributing.
Sorry I cannot give detailed info abt the recruitment because of my company policies. NNPC group HR and the consultants are handling it and thay are doing a great job. The only info I can give to you now is that NNPC is in dare need of u guys(successful candidates) and the recruitment exercise is still on-going and that u won't wait for too long to know your fate. There will be massive retirement in the next 2-5yrs years and so the corporation needs to train up people to join in the NNPC Wheel of progress. Resumption is very likely to be January(i am not 100% certain o!) . Keep your fingers crossed.
Oga Syenite, well done and may God bless you.I really need to ask a question and I will be very glad if you don't feel offended; do you know the estimated total number of successful candidates? If yes, then what is the estimated breakdown for eacn category?
Once again, don't be offended please if the question is annoying or requesting you to do things that are against the company policy(if it is), I am only curious to know.

@SilaV I learnt that NNPC/PCL have started giving letters of employment to succesful candidates. The person that said it works in NNPC. Though, he said he hasn't seen anyone that collected but he was told that they have started giving out the letters.

Is there any members of NL who have collected his/her letter to please shed light on this issue.

He also said the GTs and OPs are the ones they have started calling, but that there is an issue with the EH.

If anyone has any useful information, please post on NL
Thank you house.
Wow, what a month loaded with expectations and probably anxiety!
@Lonarmy, thanx for your update. The information flying arround in most threads of different job fora is that names of successful ones were being compiled last week(they may be through with that now) and that offer letters are expected to be printed out this week. However, the date for the distribution of the letters was not mentioned but there is strong indication that letters may start rolling out before the end of this month or early next month.
Let us just keep our fingers crossed and wait patiently because the number days or weeks(if it is up to that) remaining are few than the ones we have used to wait and the celebration time may be nearer than we expected.Shalom

Please who works in Nexus alliance or who knows one who knows one that works there.
What a nice question! You seem to read my mind. I believe if we can have access to a key figure in nexus alliance, we will be able to know the situation of things; as per resumption time and from there( I mean having known the resumption time,we can now calculate backward either 3 months or 1 month),we can now estimate the time when letters of offer will start rolling in.

@Patorinni, good job and may God bless you for rejuvenating the morales of the hopefuls. This thread can once again be alive.

Good morning NNPC hopefuls. I saw this post on naijahotjb by one of the reliable mouths and well respected for his pieces of information.I decided to post this to rekindle the flame and for us to have the hope that the process may not be scrapped at all as widely rumoured.

brethen,im sorry for the delay in getting back to you guys.
there is so much work and travelling.ive not sat on a computer for a long time.
i cant give much details, but here is the findings.
there was much pressure to cancel the process, even phillips consulting admitted to several flaws.
however, the credibility and integrity of the GEJ adminstartion and ALLISON MADUEKE involvement will be in jeopardy.
at the board meeting to make arrangement towards ladans burial, it was decided to complete the process, and manage effectively the hiccups.
ED CS, was mandated to go to the next stage.
check nexus alliance ltd, and youll see they have already commeneced trainig arrangements.
its coming soon.
i wont fight any one for all negative and disparaging comments, we dont have the time, God knows
stay blessed

Comments, criticisms and contributions are welcome.

The news going round in naijhotjobs now is that the recruitment process has been scrapped.I pray this is not true oooo.Guys, let storm Jonathan FB page and and ' cry' loud about this NNPC issue.I just hope the rumour is not true cos I will loose hope in Nigeria that things will never be okay again and Nigeria as nation will neber get it right for life except God decides to intervein.

My advice to all NNPC hopefuls is this:

Apply for other jobs and start work with any of them. When NNPC is ready for you, they'll call.
Well said, brother. Please, do we have any NNPC hopeful, who also got NNLG Technician test IV billed to hold from 11th October in PH & LAG, in the house?
If there is , then let us discuss.

Breaking news!!!
@silav, @all.
I heard that emails have been sent to some of the successful candidates. But it is categorized this time; meaning nnpc will send the invitation in batches not as before.
Somebody among those invited should confirmed this story please.
Thanks for this info. Please, which category of employees were sent E-mail? I am asking because other websites with NNPC thread(where the three categories of employee do interact everyday and more often than this thread) did not post a similar info(though that is not a criterion). Thanks once again for the update ,let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Plutarch:
@silaV,
frankly we know that every one cant be employed but i think its too early to start talkn on consoling those that may not get it and it is a bit harsh. Interviewers were friendly 2 every1 n everybody seem to do fine in d interview. What this mean is that we all need to be PRAYERFUL.
Thanks a lot, Plutarch, for your comment.I am really sorry if the content of my post was a bit harsh,I never intended to sound like that: after all, we are all waiting see the outcome and my sincere prayer is that our expectations will not be cut short in the name of the Almighty GOD.

If there is any current info on this recruitment exercise, forumites should please speak out.

I say good morning to all the hopefuls. As we wait patiently for the letters, let us keep the thread alive by posting info, be it the one we were told directly by NNPC officials or that of the PC.We can also be giving words of encouragement for those that will make the final list, and of course those that won't make the list.
Awaiting matured contribution and comments pls!!!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: NNPC 2011 Final Interview Successful Candidates Appointment Letters Finally Out by SilaV: 4:38pm On Sep 22, 2011
The observation I made concerning this recruitment process from the beginning(aptitude test invitation to interview stage) is that immediately the letters are distributed to the courier operators, the e-mail notifications equivalent  will also be sent:meaning that if it is  true that NNPC ,indeed, has distributed letters to the courier service providers, then by now they would have started contacting successful candidates via e-mail.
It is also good to note that letter of appointment may not come before invitation for medicals. It is obvious that letters of appointments are usually obtained after an individual might have been certified medically fit for the job  by authorised personnels(I am talking of notable organizations).Besides, letters of appointment are hardly distributed via courier but could be sent to e-mail addresses just as a soft copy version.

All the same,I might not be totally right.Three things might be happening here concerning this post;
1.The poster might actually be told by someone who works with either NNPC or Philips C
2.He/she might just want to know whether NNPC has started contacting successful candidates by using the concept of reverse psychology.
3.He/She might just want to heighten the tension of  the hopefuls or be looking for cheap popularity or just to keep the NNPC thread alive again in a new dimension since the formerly existing ones are becoming too cold.

This is just my personal opinion. One thing is certain: everybody cannot be chosen. In as much as love to be chosen,I have also learnt to take things as  they come, though I am very optimistic.
Lastly, the poster should not be criticized in any way(I am not saying someone is doing that please),he is only reminding us that the day(s) is(are) nearer than we think.Shalom

From Naijajobs.com

a colleague got a call just noe from NNPC asking him to send scanned copies of his credentials via reply to an e-mail that would be sent to him. Has anyone here got a similar experience?
Thanks for the info man.Well this is not the first time such an incident will be taking place: a guy was asked to do similar thing two weeks ago and he posted it on naijahotjobs. The truth is that being called to send scanned credentials simply means that the ones he submitted earlier have been misplaced and it has nothing to do with whether such an individual will be considered or not(no hard feelings please). It also means that the level of transparency is still high-giving everybody equal opportunity.Anyway, fingers still crossed.
