When I was around 4 year old, my parents took myself and my sisters to our home town (Ilesa) to stay with my maternal grand mother. Then i was the last child. . . .it was b4 that naughty girl who came after was deported to earth from heaven.

They drropped us off with her grandmother and went back to lagos. We made our grand mother promise to take us to our grand father's farm . .it was a big cocoa farm in the outskirt of ilesa. We took a taxi to a point and we had to walk the rest of the distance into the farm proper. . .

Getting to the farm, we had fun. . .went fishing and got some cocoa puds off the tree. The cocoa see is sourly sweet some how and I had so much of it . . . .our granny took us to one tree that bears a kind of very sweet tiny seeds (she called it. ."omu aja". . .there was a particular pond where we saw tiny gold rocks but we were told never to pick it because. . .they were properties of some "iwin" (spirit). We ate pounded yam and had fun.

When it was time to go home, we were made to carry some loads. . .my 2 elder sisters had 1 tuber of yam and 3 cocoa puds while I was made to carry just 2 cocoa puds (my sister and i said we wanted to make Bournvita with the cocoa when we get home). . . .

Meanwhile, we had to walk some distance before we could gt a taxi that will take us home. . . .
we had barely walked for 5 minutes when i started feeling cramp in my neck. . .it got so worse that I felt my nexk was gonnna cut off. . . .and I started shouting, . . "grand. . . .am about to die!. I was crying heavily that my eldest sister had to get the 2 cocoa puds off my head. . . .so I could walk freely.

My grandmother abused the hell outta me. . .calling me all names . . .i.e. "Oloju rogodo". . ."ounje ni kan lo moje" and the likes. . . .When we finally got home, my sisters started calling a girl. . .and will always tell me to sharrap when I say am a boy. I would cry my eyes out because I hate being called a girl.

I couldnt wait for my parents to come get us back cos I know my dad will always be on my side. . . .
Till today, when my sisters wannna make jest of me. . .they just tell the story to whovere wannna listen.
