Danielnino00: Even most parents in Nigeria still don't encourage their children to do sport... We have the talent.. the infrastructures are just not there... Lol,u jus made me remember 1 of my friend(kewve),d guy go play ball nain him papa start to dey fine am,d man waka d entire estate b4 he come catch am 4 where he dey ball, naso dis man 1st seize ball wey no b him child own,he 1st spoil d ball,d man con flog everybody round including hin own child con talk make all of dem dey go house go read Sometimes, wen I watch all dis American high school movies,I always envy dem,dey take sport very serious dere, its not always abt book all d tym, can't count hw many times my were invited for football match with oda schools, but no,we were always serving some form of punishment and not involving ourselves in anything sport is always part of d punishment |

DrLikita12: If the NUGA and the ministries of sports and education do their job properly finding athletes for some of these sports won't be difficult. Intervarsity games are important for a reason. We can all see what HiFL is doing for our football and we know it's possible for other sports. Secondary schools try with interhouse sports, but how is their record keeping? Do we have scholarships and bursaries for student athletes? What are sport facilities like in post secondary schools? Are we prepared to review our academic curricula to make it more flexible? How understanding are our lecturers and professors? Will they (within reason) accommodate our student athletes? Will athletic scholarship recipients be selected on merit? What about our law enforcement and military? Do they not know how to swim (if they don't we should be very concerned)? I remember reading about a Kenyan medal winner who is also a police officer. The military organizes in-house competitions, are they not able to spare a representative or two? The truth is we are not going to go very far if we don't make some changes; you cannot give what you do not have. D truth is dat some schools no longer c sport as something dat will help d students, dey feel it will prevent d students from being serious in school,I knw of a school dat banned its students from doing sports for a full term, instead sport period is used for quiz and it continued lyk dat 4 a very long tym, even me sef wen I dey jss1,our maths teacher always use our sport period to teach us maths, not dat we wanted it,but dere was notin we could do,we use to have maths very early on Wednesday for 40 mins, den sport follows till break, dis woman go carry cane wen she dey come, dey neva born any us of us make we tell am sey sport period don reach, dat pesin go carry tattoo go house |

OYIBN: I wonder the type of people that comment on Nairaland. Some are so ignorant. When investigating a crime against a person. the investigating officer may stumble on other crimes committed by the accused which may not even be related to the rape case. Let's say for example, money laundering. The police officer is not going to close his eyes to what he found because the initial case is about rape. So many other women apart from Busola have also accused Fatoyinbo. Some witnesses might have said something which necessitated the search of his home and office. For example he might have paid some people to lie or buy their silence. The police may be looking for cheque books, documents etc. The ignorant ones should know that the court does not grant search warrants if there is no strong reason to do so. The police has to give concrete reasons why they need to search his home and office because the pastor has rights under our constitution. So the police proved to the judge why his house needs to be searched and they were issued a search warrant. Honestly, dey re juz typing nonsense with pride,ITKs |

TempleHouse: You seems not to understand how detectives works. Pastor Fatoyinbo could have make some incriminating write up to the 2 Pastors in Lagos and Port Harcourt thst Bisola alleged begged her 20 yrs ago over the matter. Fatoyinbo may have emailed the 2 Pastors to lie and that evidence could be used to confirm the allegations and nailed him. Just leave dem, dere is notin dis police men will do dat will mak sense in dia eyes |
