I saw a video of a danfo conductor giving passengers ogogoro to wash their hands before entering the bus... It looked funny, but the truth is that the conductor acted more responsible than some so called educated elites in the country who just returned from abroad and can't sit their asses down at home to reduce the spread of the virus...

I heard of it,but I've not seen the video

Why shouldn't i talk about d "why were" question? If I didn't talk about it would u have known? Or u think d virus just fell from heaven into Nigeria? d senior NNPC executive who died of corona, came in from UK with d virus, died in his home and d ncdc was aware that d man had corona but did nothing to isolate him from his family b4 his death and carry out necessary protocols with d family. All these things expose governments incompetence. People shouldn't be made to suffer for that

Would I have known? What is now the usefulness of the phone and internet connection I have?

Bro,all these blame game won't do anything, what we need now is cooperation between the govt and citizens, everyone should play his own part towards containing the virus.

If the govt enforces a compulsory isolation on those coming in and the citizens don't stay in their house, it will still keep on spreading and vice versa.

lexy2014:

Why were d international airports not closed for 3weeks? Corona can't be controlled when people stay at home. It can only be controlled when d govt enforces quarantine at d airports. Is it people that leave their homes that cause corona in Nigeria or d people who are trooping in from UK and Italy?

U re still talking about the past with your 'y were' question. The virus is in our midst already, the best thing is to enforce that quarantine you said and also enforce the stay at home directive.

Most of the reports i have seen is about "returnees", all these returnees brought calamity on us...

Personally I'd have advocated for people to stay wherever they are.. it's the most effective way to contain the disease. Stay and don't infect people here... But a country would find it difficult to close it's doors on it's citizens abroad...

Remember we never encounterd something like this before, unprecedented is an understatement... As safari said about natural selection, some people will die, many will live...

Me, I kannat die...

Those Nigerians are actually the most selfish pple in this matter, some of them might not even have it before leaving their house but as soon as they get to the airport, they contract this thing, bring to Nigeria and start spreading it.

This excatly,is the issue... Some people aren't ready to obey the law... They are being selfish.... I saw a news report a few days back about hundreds of Australians on the beach catching fun despite their government advises to stay at home.... If there's an outbreak now, they will blame their government!..
If people aren't willing to cooperate with their government during this period,I'm afraid we are in trouble!

Aswr bro,very selfish.
Politics / Re: COVID-19: Buhari Urges Nigerians In Lagos, Abuja To Stay At Home by simiife: 3:35am On Mar 24, 2020
Nigerians pls in the name of God Almighty, stay at home for at home at least 3 weeks, the thing can still be controlled if everyone stays at home. This has gone beyond just closing the border, its for everyone's good.

Stay at home, then if you notice any of the symptoms, call the toll free number, that's just the best thing to do,Nigeria does not have the capacity to test every Nigerian, no country does anyway, but stay in your house, the virus won't come and meet u at home.

And pls,if u know u re financially bouyant enough to help those that won't have anything to eat at this critical time, pls do well to help, surely there is a reward for u in Heaven, nobody should use the excuse of wanting to what they re going to eat to put their lives, that of their families as well as Nigerians at large, I know it will be hard, but their health should come first, don't put the life those that complied with the stay at home directive in jeopardy, plsssss.

I'm not doubting God's word... But this isn't the first time these things will be happening....
Australia bushfires occur almost every year .. the locust invasions are seasonal, this year own just happened to be worse..even Nigeria once had a case of locust invasion... And a lot of epidemics have befallen the world in the past .. think of malaria,HIV/AIDS,Ebola,SARS,flu, etc...

This isn't end time!

I pray so,but to be sincere, this 2020 dey somehow,May God continue to protect us all IJN

Because you were lucky to be posted to a place near you does not mean other people chose the far distance they were posted to.

My sister had to travel from Akure to Ore, and she didn't choose the Ore centre.

Many other people were also posted from Akure to Ore like her.

And I've seen people coming from Ondo to Akure as well.

It's incompetence on the part of JAMB, nothing else.

Well,I don't know if they do that one,but they asked me where i would love to mine and posted me to a nearby school, cdss ojo actually.

Why is nothing structured in this country? Why do young students need to go far away for exams.

I think you re blaming the wrong person, they usually ask jambites to pick where they wish to write the exam,my center was just 10 mins from my house, jamb only posted her according to her choice.
Education / Re: Aker Nguyilan: Jambite Dies In Car Accident While Travelling To Write JAMB Exams by simiife: 11:21am On Mar 19, 2020
Ayemileto:
I blame jamb strictly for this.

Why post students to places far from their city of residence when there are easily accessible centres around them?

That's how they posted many students from Akure to Ore(about 3 hours journey) even though there are many centres in Akure.

The most annoying thing is that, they posted some people from those cities too to Akure.

I even had to contact their support over the issue, and they couldn't give any reasonable explanation.

Very useless and incompetent bunch of people.

U re wrong bro, while registering for jamb, you re asked of the place you wish to write the exam, the place I wrote mine is just a journey if 10 mins from my house, she probably chose that far distanced center by herself, not everything is incompetence.

RIP to the young lady.

Not if he is putting in the work and bringing in the goals...

Every club dumps a player that contributes nothing meaningful to its success. No need singling Man United out.

My concern for him is how he hopes to get regular first team starts with Martial and Rashford in fine form, especially Martial, as Rashford can always pair up easily with him... (Rashford and Ighalo combination, with Fernandes and McTominay in midfield, would be super lethal)!

If lingard reads that ur second paragraph he will make jest of u.
