Useless Olusegun Obasanjo, I hate him with a passion. He is a disgrace to the Yoruba tribe all over the world. But wait ooo, Obasanjo fought the civil war to keep Nigeria as one country, now his son is fighting boko-haram also to keep Nigeria as one country. How else can we define a Great Man? Where are IBB, Jereboy Oseni, Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello, Emeka Ojukwu, Alex Ekweme, Abdulsalam Abubakar's children? OK, they are holidaying in Dubai and Paris. Where are Tinubu, Gbenga Daniel, Alao Akala and other children? They are currently in university campuses enticing our young girls with ill-gotten money and changing their pussies as they change under-wears. What of Jonathan's children? Oh, they are still eating one billion naira plus food per year and growing into hippopotamus.

Olusegun Obasanjo is a monster, but he is a also a Great Man. I still hate him anyway. Please get well soon gallant Jnr Obasanjo. Most officers in Obasanjo's sons level, stay behind the battalion while the junior officers are slaughtered, but Jnr Obsanjo lead the battalion the same way his father lead the battalion to re-capture Owerri and end the civil war. Get well soon Great Gallant Officer.

Politics › Our Children Rape Us, Imo Christian Mothers Cry Out by simpleseyi(op): 7:08am On Sep 05, 2014
Christ mothers from Mgbishii, a sleepy rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area in Imo State, have cried out to the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony Obinna, over alleged attrocities being committed by their sons and daughers in the area.
The women visited Archbishop Obinna at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, Owerri, where they complained that they were being raped by their own sons on daily basis.
“We are raped and molested by our own children. You cannot come to Mgbuishii and return home safely because of the crime,” the women told Archbishop Obinna.
They further said that they had complained to both the state government and other law enforcement agents but regretted that they were yet to find solutions to the atrocities committed by their children.
They said: “We are angry because government is not looking at our direction at all. We have been completely abandoned for years.
Now, we have no good roads, no electricity, no market and nothing is going on in our place. To make things worse, we are now suffering from insecurity.”
Continuing, the aggrieved women also revealed that their sons take over the roads leading to their community on each of their market days and rob people, adding that this explained why people had stopped coming to buy farm produce from their market.
No Police presence
While lamenting that there is no police presence in the community, the spokes-woman, however, expressed shock that when they report anything to
the police, they ultimately found themselves in more trouble as they ended up being molested the more.
“Also, each time we report cases to the police and they manage to send their men at all, the criminals beat them (policemen) up because they (criminals) parade more sophisticated weapons than what the policemen have. We needed police escort to get here (Maria Assumpta Cathedral) and we will also need them to go back home,” the women said.
On lack of social amenities in the area, the spokeswoman said the community had no roads, primary or secondary schools as well as health facilities, adding that they had been completely abandoned by the various tiers of government, even as they pointed out to the Archbishop that most of them were already planning to relocate to safer communities in Rivers State.
“Even the Reverend Father in our place is complaining and threatening to go away. About two weeks ago, some reverend sisters visited our place and were waylaid on the road and robbed. We have a lot of problems and that is why the women have come to complain to the Archbishop,
who is our father in the Lord”, the women added.
Responding, Obinna commi-serated with the women over their plight and pleaded with them not to take laws into their hands.
While stressing the need for proper upbringing of children by parents in the fear of the Lord, the cleric, however, recalled some bizarre things that are now happening in the society. He prayed and blessed the women for being courageous enough to bring the sordid happenings to limelight.

Politics › Court Freezes Dangote Brother’s Accounts With 20 Banks by simpleseyi(op): 6:56am On Sep 05, 2014
A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered 20 commercial banks in Nigeria to dishonour all withdrawal cheques from Mr. Sani Dangote, younger brother to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and his companies, Dansa Foods Limited and Bulk Pack Services Limited.

Justice Okon Abang, who made the order on Thursday in a bench ruling, said the order would subsist till September 11, 2014, when the court would entertain all applications in a suit brought by Union Bank Plc against Dangote and his companies.

The judge also ordered all the banks involved to, within five days of the interim order, file affidavits declaring the defendants statement of accounts with them.

Union Bank had taken Dangote and his companies to court over alleged refusal to liquidate about N5.2bn loan granted them since September, 2008.

The bank, through its lawyer, Mr. Chukwudi Enebeli from the chambers of Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), had instituted suits seeking an order of mareva injunction to restrain all the defendants’ bankers in Nigeria from allowing them withdraw funds from their accounts pending the determination of the suits.

The banks named include Access, CITI, Diamond, Ecobank, Enterprise, Fidelity, Keystone, Mainstreet, Skye, Wema, Heritage, Sterling, Unity and Zenith banks.

Others are First Bank, First City Monument Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered Bank and United Bank for Africa.

In the affidavit in support of its suits, Union Bank Plc urged the court to urgently grant the mareva order because in a bid to evade payment of the loan, Dangote had been making frantic efforts to deplete the funds in the accounts of his companies, and that the bank’s investigations revealed that the defendants had started diverting the funds to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Switzerland.

One Olufunmilola Ayoola, an official of the bank, who deposed to the bank’s affidavit, alleged that the failure of the defendants to liquidate the monumental debt had negatively affected the Nigerian economy, a development which the bank claimed necessitated the suit.

According to Ayoola, Union Bank Plc has been having difficulty in extending credit facilities to small scale businesses, which in turn would have helped in boosting the nation’s economy and salvage the country from its present malaise of corruption and underdevelopment crisis.

The bank stated that the funds, which Dangote and his companies failed to pay, were capable of going a long way in impacting positively on the nation’s economy.

When the matter came up for hearing on Thursday, the motion could not be heard as counsel for the defendants informed the court that they had filed objections challenging jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suit.

Out of all the banks, Diamond and Zenith appeared before the court on Thursday and explained that Dangote was equally indebted to them.

Zenith Bank specifically said Dangote was indebted to the bank to the tune of €7m.

In view of the defendants’ objections contesting jurisdiction, the judge said the matter would be adjourned till September 11, 2014, to be able to take all the applications.

The judge added, however, that there was an urgent need to preserve the rest in view of the allegation that the defendants were about to move the funds abroad.

He said, “In line with Order 28 Rule 2 of the rules of this court, an interim order is hereby made restraining the banks from allowing the defendants to operate their accounts with them, especially honouring withdrawal of funds.

“I think the dictate of justice demands that a preserving order should be made to preserve the res (subject matter) of this suit.”

Abang, however, ordered Union Bank to file an undertaking that it would indemnify the defendants in the event that the freezing order ought not to have been made.

Politics › Boko Haram Sponsorship: We’ve Been Vindicated – APC by simpleseyi(op): 7:31am On Sep 03, 2014
ABUJA–Following the revelations of alleged Boko Haram sect sponsors by the Australian negotiator, Mr. Stephen Davies, the All Progressive Congress, APC, yesterday declared that it has been vindicated.
The party also stated that the development has now revealed that members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and political allies of President Goodluck Jonathan are the true sponsors of the Sect.
To substantiate its claim, the party played a newsreel footage of a conversation between Davies and a broadcaster from Arise Television in London where the former mentioned the alleged sponsors.
It particularly called the President to handover the former governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff whose name was mentioned to the International Court of Justice, ICC, for immediate prosecution.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja, the national chairman of the party, Mr. John Oyegun said that PDP has politicized Boko Haram.
He said: “Dr. Stephen Davis, a man hired by the President Jonathan-led Federal Government to negotiate with Boko Haram for the release of the Chibok girls decided to speak out, believing the best way to tackle the insurgency is to expose the sponsors. And who are they? On international television last Thursday, and as you have just seen and heard, he named former Borno Governor Ali Modu Sheriff and a former Army Chief, Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, as the sponsors of Boko Haram.
“The truth is finally out. We have been vindicated. We have no hand in the Boko Haram insurgency. The raison d’etre of our party is the well-being and security of Nigerians
“The sponsors of Boko Haram are within the PDP and the Presidency. They are known friends of President Jonathan. He knows them and they know him.
“The man who exposed these Boko Haram sponsors is a Jonathan-appointed Negotiator. He has no axe to grind, neither does he have any motive to shield the APC or portray the PDP/Presidency in bad light. In fact, if he had any sympathy at all, it is for the man who hired him, President Jonathan.
“We have said it all along. Boko Haram was politicized purely for one reason, and one reason only: To be used as a trump card for President Jonathan to win another term. For that strategy to work, the APC, which they see as the only stumbling block to the PDP’s victory in 2015, must be maligned and labeled. Gullible, duplicitous and self-serving politicians like Femi Fani-Kayode swallowed the bait, hook, line and sinker, and started parroting the glaring lies. PDP spokesman Olisa Metuh, an obvious pawn on the chess board, followed suit, labelling a party that comprises Nigerians of all ethnic and religious hue a supporter of APC and Islamic party. Now he is stewing in his own juice.
“Now that the
cat has been let out of the bag and the real sponsors of Boko Haram have been exposed, we hope President Jonathan will summon the courage to do the right thing: Hand over the identified Boko Haram sponsors to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for investigation and prosecution.
“There is no doubt that Boko Haram has committed crimes against humanity in its scorched-earth campaign against unharmed citizens, and the most appropriate body to investigate and try the sect’s sponsors is the ICC.
“According to Article 17 of the Rome Statute that set up the ICC, and to which Nigeria is signatory, the ICC is a court of last resort, expected to exercise its jurisdiction only if states themselves are unwilling or unable genuinely to investigate and prosecute international crimes.”
According to Oyegun, President Jonathan should not feign ignorance of Sheriff’s involvement in the Boko Haram’s activities.
“President Jonathan cannot pretend not to know the alleged role that Ali Modu Sheriff has played in the establishment and growth of Boko Haram, yet he never allowed the man to even be questioned by any of the security agencies under his control. All through his time with our Party, every time they accused us of sponsoring Boko Haram, on the basis of his presence, we challenged them if they had evidence to arrest any of our members who is suspected to be a sponsor, they never did. They dared not, because Sheriff was their agent. Even if he had remained in the APC after we democratically encouraged him to go, they would still not have arrested him,” he said.
Reminding the president that as the Commander-in- Chief, “the buck stops on his desk,” Oyegun recalled attempts by the PDP to cover up its involvement, assuring Nigerians that now the truth had finally prevailed, APC would ensure that it would not be swept under the carpet.
“In a rare moment of truth, a top official of the Jonathan Administration, no less a personality than the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Gen. Andrew Owoye Azazi, situated the Boko Haram problem within the PDP. Shortly thereafter he was fired, and he later died in controversial circumstances. Still we waited.
“They distorted and misrepresented the statements made by our leader, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to try to convince the world that he was indeed the main sponsor of Boko Haram. They continued to echo the same slander about Gen. Buhari that was started by Presidential Spokesman Reuben Abati in 2011, and for which he and his cohorts eventually begged to settle out of court and to apologize to the General. Still we waited.
“Nigerians can rest assured that the APC will not allow this issue to be swept under the carpet,” Oyegun stated.

Foreign Affairs › Israel's 'refusers': Why We Too Feel 'occupied' by simpleseyi(op): 8:53pm On Aug 18, 2014
(CNN) -- His long hair has been shaved off, he has to wear a Marine's uniform and is given orders like a soldier, but Udi Segal is not in the military -- he has in fact refused to join the Israeli Defense Force. He may have refused to join then, but he's still forced to look like a soldier in prison.
The 19-year-old has been in prison for 20 days. He's a "refuser" -- the name given to conscientious objectors who refuse to join the Israeli military on political and ethical grounds.
We drove from Jerusalem to Carmel Prison, near Altit, at 6 a.m. -- Udi was due to be released for the weekend and we were meeting his parents at the gates as they were expecting his release anytime between 8 and 9:30 a.m. As we wait, I witness an impatient mother anxious to see her son, pacing. He is her "baby," the youngest of three boys.
But this mother has found herself at the heart of a divide in Israeli thinking, a society sometimes split between patriotic, isolationist thought and inclusion. Hevda Livnat has two other sons serving in the military, one of whom is in Operation Protective Edge in Gaza. The boys in the military didn't want to appear on camera or talk to us. When I ask Hevda about her feelings about the differences amid her family, she shrugs and says simply, as only a mother can: "They're all my boys."

His father Davidi Segal at first seems uncomfortable with not only our presence, but his son's choices. But that all slipped away pretty fast when they saw Udi.
The teenager is questioned before release, and finally emerges at 10:30 a.m. The father hugs him and cheers. They are "happy to see his smile" says Udi's mother and "relieved" says his father.
But he's only out for the weekend and must return -- it's only then he'll be told how long he's back in for -- possibly another 20 days. This process can go on for months.
First stop for the teenager -- a plate of hummus -- and then time, to sit down with me to discuss his carefully considered political and ethical views.
I learn that the family lives in a "Kibbutz" or Jewish commune in the north of Israel and Udi's views were formed at an early age in a joint Arab-Israeli (or Muslim-Jewish) school.
"I understood that Arabs can be my friends, Arabs are not at all my enemies, they are my neighbors."
Why not join the army for the sake of military service, I ask him. "If I wouldn't be a fighter and I'd just sit in an office, someone else would fight, someone else will kill people, someone else will occupy and also I would occupy -- I will support a system that occupies."
But does Udi really think being a refuser can change anything? He is after all in a minority. "I know my step won't stop the occupation but what I hope to do is that people will see I refuse and will think twice before they join the army; if they're now in the army they'll think twice before they're pushing the button and killing people in Gaza," he explains.
At this point I ask him about his brother, who is in the IDF and has been serving in Gaza. "There is debate ... but there is still brotherhood," he replies.
Udi's mother has accepted her sons' choices. She hopes her sons in the military can be at peace with their actions but respects their choice to do their duty. And Udi's decision, she says, didn't come as a surprise, she has watched him develop his political thought. She says the family has learned from it.
"We need these people, as a mother of course I ask why my son, but we need these voices to be heard. We shouldn't be afraid. Nothing will happen to Israel if 400 people say we're not going to Gaza."
In fact she likes the idea of citizens challenging politicians. She tells me she doesn't want Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to feel too comfortable sitting in his seat of power while this conflict continues.
In an interesting take Udi tells me, even as an Israeli citizen, he too feels "occupied," a concept I hadn't considered. "The basic freedom that people don't get in Gaza, also in West Bank, also here in Israel, is because of the occupation. Because of the occupation, I live in a military society, in a violent society, a chauvinistic society."
The Israeli Defence Force wouldn't tell CNN how many teenagers are enlisted into military service every year for, they say, security reasons. Neither would they share the number of refusers.
Udi's parents, Hevda and Davidi, both served in the military. While they're proud to have children making independent decisions, there is a mixture of confusion and concern amid their openness.

His father, who at first I thought was against his son's decision, is not so much opposed to it, as concerned. He is not sure Udi understands the complex situation, which he says he hates. Neither side is right or entirely to blame, he explains: "Hamas is wrong and Israel is no angel."
He however, sees a combined military and political solution to the situation. But he wants to be able to debate with his son who has ended the discussion and made up his mind. Udi's mother has accepted his path but is concerned his decision may have repercussions.
Are you scared of the backlash? I ask Udi. "I get messages in my Facebook and email -- that people want to kill me, I'm a traitor... But I'm fine, I'm not scared."
Udi is clear, he doesn't support Hamas -- he doesn't believe they're helping the Palestinian cause at all. They are also not helping their own people. But neither does he support Israel's response to Hamas's rockets.
But what would he say to people who say he's not being patriotic or respectful of his country? He is forceful. Confident and without thinking twice responds.
"I don't want to respect my country, I don't want to be patriotic, I want to respect people, not countries."
Military service is compulsory by law in Israel. Men must serve three years; women must serve two.
Everywhere we go in Israel we see teenagers in military fatigues carrying their guns, a badge of honor, a reminder this country considers itself under threat and has the right to self defense.
To stand out from such a strong national narrative isn't easy. But Udi is clear, he's no hero, it's not about courage or even about him.
"This is also one of the problems that people look at me that I'm brave, [but] I don't want them to look at me that I'm brave, I want them to look at the occupation.
The Israeli military points out that not all are conscientious objectors like Udi.
But some Israeli teenagers do say no. Udi is not alone, he is one of 130 young Israelis who wrote to Netanyahu -- not only refusing to serve but criticizing Israeli politics, policy and accusing the state of war crimes -- an allegation the state rejects.
Later in the evening, on his first of just two days out, he takes time to meet his friends ... and other refusers who have held a party for him.
The group call themselves the "Conscientious Objectors against the Occupation" and operate through word of mouth and Facebook. They are Israeli boys and girls who feel their voice too should be heard. They posted their letter on Facebook and invite people to sign it.
I meet several of them that evening who signed the letter to the PM. These are incredibly politicized young people who want to break free from the national narrative -- articulate teenage activists.
Bar Levy, who is 16 and still at school, says: "I don't agree with what the army does. I think it's immoral and it's only hurting us and the Palestinians."
Daniel Elsohn is an 18-year-old social volunteer for Windows for Peace. "I think the army plays a big role in getting our society militarized and getting our society very much concentrated around violence and repression and it is not something I want to take part in." he says.
Danielle Yaor, aged 19, says: "As a citizen ... I live because of the suffering of Palestinians and because of that I chose to be against the occupation."
Though not huge in number, their opinions and actions are adding to the debate inside Israel - a discourse these young Israelis hope will lead to a more open society. Yet the operations and conflict continue.

Are these all the bible teaches you? What a great book it is. Those that came to Africa to transport your forefathers to Europe and America as slaves are christian missionaries. You are really acting and talking like the christian missionaries.

Validated: It is unfortunate that you do not see anything wrong with this action of your fellow Muslims. Would you love your daughter to be treated as such? Religion has blinded some of you that truth is no longer sacred.

On the growth of Islam, it is not surprising because the world love evil. Jesus said that broad is the way that leads to destruction and many would follow that way. The narrow way is the way to life and only few walk thereon. Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. So my friend the spread of Islam does not mean that your religion is better but that people love easy way out and others are threatened with death and forced to convert. Imagine abducting 276 girls and forcing them to convert to your religion. Does that make them Muslims? No! Their hearts still beat for God no matter that they pretend to be Muslims.

Please, advice your people to stop the killing and maiming and see how fast your religion would grow.

Have a great day
Your religion is not growing faster than Islam despite all your lies. No human being who is mentally sane will support killing and maiming, even idol worshippers do not preach killing and maiming. There are bad people everywhere, in the mosques, in the churches, in the shrines. Stop painting Islam black. Islam is not from Africa where the racist whites make you believe everything from it is bad.

Your hatred for Islam has not stopped the growth of Islam over the years. Our prophet came about 600 years after Jesus, yet followers of the prophet are at par with church goers. Stop stalking Islam, instead tell your catholic priesst to stop molesting young boys and your men-of-god to stop extorting the poor masses like politicians.

This is development in PDP language. 50 advisers for less than 9 months reign. Let the sharing of the loot continues. While sharing the loot, they will start sharing blood (apology to Mama Peace Sheppopo).

ifex370: christ is coming,

the world is crumbling...
Please tell us another lie. This lie has been going around for more than 2000 years. Are you sure Jesus has time for you? If yes, when is Jesus coming? What is he coming to do? Is he coming to join Israel in bombing Palestine?

Russia is talking less but talking more actions day by day. Let Europe and America continue talking while Russia is talking action.
