There are so many things we get wrong as Nigerians...Putting emotions ahead of logic is common across the very same fabric that holds our society.

Nigerians love freebies and this man will wash more cars than his destiny ever bargained for...

These folks don't deserve your sweat...

That's one way to see it. Another way could be that he is riding on the momentum of the Obidient trend to advertise and get more customers.

I am also a victim of this and i think the problem with me that's not included in your write-up is "Distraction". I'm 37 just engaged, more responsibilities even i earn less than 45k monthly. I have learnt HTML, CSS3 using codecademy and freecodecamp, Wordpress, AWS solution architect, Python... I didn't complete learning all these because of distraction from myself or my family. I am the first child of my family, a breadwinner despite earning less i still don't like seeing them suffering. I know the only solution to my PROBLEM of having my full concentration of programming is to get a job as an intern but will be earning monthly even if it is just 20k while all i will be doing is learning and doing something. You can only be better and be improving at what you do everyday. Unlike this menial job i'm doing here from 7am to 5pm and get home everyday very tired. I still have thirst and passion for programming and i pray my problem is solved soon because it's paining me alot. May God help me

The only difference between my situation and yours is that i am married at that age with two kids and i earn a little higher. At every opportunity i get i spend the whole day at the library. That is how i get by. Besides i work 6am to 6pm. Close very tired plus lagos traffic. Determination is the key. Data Science is where i am headed. Just keep on keeping on.

Bro! You see?

You goofed up big time by showing her all your cards bro. Relationship these days are like card games. You don't display all your cards to your opponent to avoid being kicked off the game. You play it smartly with your head not with your heart.

Now, you're of no relevance to her again, and there's nothing that you'll do to gain that back from her. To her, she's just using u as a step up plan until she lands her target man.

In otherwords, you're on your own

All, I'll say now is, start searching for another girl that would keep ur hrt occupied at moment, after that dump her and move on. That's d only way to mk her feel d break up, don't let her break ur hrt, break hers first that's how you'll get to win on this bro. Outside it, it'll be an all-round win for her. So be smart and act fast.

Note: all these should be on code. Don't let her notice anysh*t as regarding ur intention towards her. Oya go win this bro grin

I made this same mistake bro, and now am a rebranded person.

Read on miseducation by Ubanja

In other words, you became boring and ladies esp singles need regular excitement. She used to love you though. The mistake you'll make now is to try to win her back. If you love her and want her to remain, then walk away and make her want you more than you want her. How you'll do this is up to you. There are many ways to accomplish this.

Just Google it!

Else just walk away and don't look back!

Ladies deep down desires to be the one in deep love and you respond to the love... They want to be the one chasing the relationship and not the other way round. This is why most times good girls like bad guys.

Take Goals away from cr and messi then you would appreciate the beauty of messi.

How he manages to magnet football to his leg and breeze past players is amazing.

Messi makes football an art, he makes it magic.

Football isn't all about putting ball in a goal, its about the beauty of the sport

Even at this Messi is still a better goal scorer. Check how many games it took both players to score 600 games. It CR7 over 850 games, while it took Messi just over 600 games.

Celebrities / Re: COZA: Busola And Timi Dakolo's Press Conference (Live Updates) by SimplySEA(m): 7:43pm On Jul 21, 2019
NwaAmaikpe:
shocked

The IG of Police is waiting for them and they are here giving press conference to sway emotions.
Kate Henshaw is there ready to badmouth anyone who is not buying their flimsy claims.

As always, let it be known that I stand with Biodun Fatoyinbo on this case.

Aside his great dress sense, I have never admired Biodun Fatoyinbo.
I have always opined he was rather too vain and superficially carnal to be called by God.
What time will a man who will rather shop for fashion houses' latest releases have to read the bible?

But that's not the case here.
The case is that rape is the new noose and every lady who has had sexual relationships with him now wants a pound of flesh.
I NwaAmaikpe will never partake in media trial without a rational forensic analysis of the facts presented.

And the facts presented point there was a long term consensual sexual relationship between the parties involved.
The disjointed details of a supposed rape which I'd term a 'victim-builder' makes no sense.
The motive behind this could be anything in this world and the strongest being scorn.

Now this is what I think.
Busola has had an age-long obsession with Biodun,
An obsession she's taken into marriage provoking Timi feeling an intense animosity towards Biodun.

Now she has to do what she has to do to make him feel adequate by shaming the object of her fantasies.

I have been accused of being one of Biodun's minions.
The truth is, I'd rather be one than be amongst a false accuser's myopic bandwagon sympathists.

So pardon me for not taking sides with Timi whose rage is apparently jelaousy-driven.
I can imagine what he feels realising that his spouse's unexplainable withdrawals and mood swings was because sex with him sucked and she could only orgasm from fantasising it was Biodun ramming her and not him.

It must surely hurt.
But if you expect me to blame Biodun for being a man most husbands will never be and for reminding them of their inadequacies, I won't.

Timi should find closure in the realization that Busola lost the key to the cookie-jar to an incredibly good-looking hunk and move on.
What of Mama Ramotu who willingly gave her virginity to Musbaliu the welder?

With that said, if Busola's story of the rape adds up to you then you need analytical help.

Enough of social media slander, enough of these press conferences that are only making their case a difficult one.
Timi and Busola shouldn't be scared but go to the police and let the course of the law begin if they truly are the victims.

This idiot is a social media agent paid to sway sympathy to the direction of the "man of god".

I think it's 30. Check the sch requirement for the course. It is boldly written there. www.nouedu.net

There are whatsapp groups. There's a study centre and faculty to get answers from. There's ICT at every study centre for ICT related issues. There are little business centres at every Study centre guiding people on what to do next and how to go about it. There are groups on nairaland discussing noun related issues and developments and providing real time information as they unfold with the likes of MishaCares, Mac Anthony, etc. There are groups on telegram, etc. If only you had even gone through the nairaland comments of like a month back...

Seriously!i don't really blame the guy esp if he's a new student, the way noun academics is being run is different from other universities.
I almost missed the exams/course registration cos I didn't know you have to logically pay for them separately if not I checked online and its not like that in other universities, when you see your course mates at lectures to interact with and ask questions.
You have to ask people and the people here is not every time they respond to questions most of the student in noun are working class and busy and that's what the school is made for so you can learn while you work, they should always try to carry the student along.

I understand you brother. I also believe in development and there are stages to it. I am not a defender of noun. But I know the school is growing and trying out many things right now. Over the last 3years there's been serious changes, all geared towards improving the system. Don't forget that it is the first if its kind in Nigeria.

My point exactly is that we should cease from calling the school names esp online just to express every disappointment. No school can achieve the status of prestigious if the its students keep publishing its challenges. The OAUs, UIs, UNNs, of this world , which have existed long before even the conceiver of the idea of noun was born, have their challenges but you don't see or hear people coming online to say this things. You only see and hear about the positives. Believe me sir there are many positives with noun but you hardly see it published.

I am a graduate of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a Fed. University in this country. Despite all the challenges we faced while in school, we still go about branding our names with our call-sign. I tell you my brother what I have faced in noun is not up to half my travails while in school. Although things are far better now with better infrastructures and facilities but it didn't happen one day.

In essence, kindly note that the prestige of the school lies in your hand. What you push out there is the way this school will be perceived. How you present your school is the way your certificate will be viewed. How you make people see your school is the way employers will see you. It is simply called "BRANDING".

As for me I am a #GREATMAKURDIAN and a proud #NOUNITE.

You've been brainwashed by the greatest lie of priestcraft. When the sun shines, it shines on all but when Jehovah wants to speak his supposed word of life, his word that would bring me onto personal relationship with him, he speaks through proxy. So if your father wants to speak to you, he does it indirectly.

Jehovah is a fraud!

You took that scripture completely out of context. That's terrible of you.

You think too much of yourself; all the more he wouldn't speak to you. In fact He doesn't associate with those with haughty spirit... He loves the humble and work with them.

Imagine if God speaks to everybody the way you want him to speak to you what would the world be like - confusion? Commotion?

Today not all of us are scientists and the world is already one button away from self destruction. That's level confusion man can bring. Imagine the confusion the world would be if to everyone goes about with a voice in their head.

Religion / Re: My Thoughts And Questions About Religion by SimplySEA(m): 6:35pm On Oct 31, 2018
Mujtahida:

So everyone who leaves Christianity was never a Christian? How simplistic can your thinking be. You don't even know that what you are practicing today is more of churchianity than Christianity as practiced in the early church.

First off, I believe in God as I wrote in my first post. But do I believe in Yahweh? No. Do I believe in Jesus? Not anymore. Jesus if ever he did exist and died, died for his own sins and the sins of Yahweh but not for me. Forgiveness doesn't require bloodshed. Human beings forgive even the most unspeakably egregious acts without shedding blood.
Obviously the merciful Biblical God didn't learn a thing or two from us his supposedly depraved creation hence he had to slake his vengefulness with the blood of his son. Jesus died to save the old testament petty minded, hateful and murderous, gentile killing God of Israel (actually Yahweh is an idol - Google Yahweh and read his entry on Wikipedia) from his worst characters hence his conversion into a god of love in the new testament.

If I lied then every person whose experience is written in scripture is a lie, ain't so? And You too lie when you say God speaks to you(since you regard my saying I found scriptures cold a lie so ditto I regard you saying God spoke to you a lie-how's that? )
At a certain point I found scriptures cold. No lies. Why is that point hard for you to swallow when I know that a great number of genuinely born again Christians experience that sort of devotional dryness sometimes briefly, sometimes for long periods.

If God spoke to Moses, Abraham, Jacob, Ezra etc then I cannot live my life based on those words unless God speaks to me too. Show me in scriptures, the scriptures that Abraham or Moses read to hear God speak. And I say that the God who speaks in the Bible is not God - those are the words of men!!! And even if it were God, I say to him, No I will not believe your word to Isaac, to Isaiah, to Micah or even to Adeboye, Oyedepo or Iginla. Give me my own word. When I breath through the nose God gave me I breathe by myself, when I walk, I walk with the legs God gave me, when I look, I look through the eyes he gave. So why then do I need to filter my own spiritual relationship to him through the words he spoke to David, to some nomadic Jew some thousands of years ago. Do you know what fatherhood means? Do you know the implication of the word becoming flesh amongst us? Did Jesus not speak directly to his disciples? Why has he gone mute? Is he not the same yesterday, today and forever? Is he not called the living word? He must speak ooo, he must speak directly to me if we gon have a relationship. I rather go to hell than relate with my God through a proxy. The Bible God who cannot speak to me deserves no obedience from me. I believe in no Bible God, he doesn't need me as you have repeatedly hammered and guess what? I don't freaking need him because he doesn't exist. I carry my God inside my heart. I look up, I see his symbol, his sun shining on me, warming my soul and blessing me with its life giving rays, his rain refreshing and renewing the earth.

There's no implication of Eternal death or life. What is, is -whether death or life. All such Biblical frameworks are bunkum to me. Trust me if there's Eternal life I have it already. If I don't have it, you don't have it. If you have it, I have it even more. It doesn't depend on no Jesus. Humanity extends farther than Christ, a vast, countless horde of men have thronged this old earth before your Christ ever uttered a word.

I have no desire to live in definitely . That's a Christian ideal that doesn't resonate with me. I am perfectly satisfied with experiencing this one. I I have no fear whatsoever regarding my choices. All the scriptures on eternal life or death cannot change my mind. When I was a Christian, heaven was not really an inducement to me. What I wanted most was a fruitful spiritual relationship with God. I discovered like you said that the christian god doesn't need me and I walked away. My life is less cluttered now. I belong to the God of the universe. When my time is up I will go back to the unknown place from whence I came.

Sorry Bro...
You don't serve God on your own terms, you serve him on his terms.
BTW over history (in the Bible)it's known that God speaks only to Prophets and sometimes to a selected few ( I can't really remember any right now). Even some beloved kings, even the great king David did not enjoy this benefit. Wait who be you self? God called David "a man after his heart" and yet David required the services of prophets.

You don't serve God on your own terms, you serve him on his terms!

When you find out you failed the first two question, you should go online and check. It is usually a multiple Choice Question online with answers. Then you will know why and how you failed.

Good for you simplySEA. I pray your marriage lasts more than NTA.

I thought it was a new post until I checked the date. I was in a 4-year relationship before I gained admission into the University. Then I met this guy. I just wanted a school relationship with him and I told him but it turned out differently. We were heads over heels in love. I still love my guy back home. I was between the devil and the deep blue sea. They both wanted marriage and they are both good guys. After my last exams, I was still hanging around in school because of him, it was difficult to decide, then from nowhere, without warning, my bf just drove down to school to move my things plus me of course. Somehow, he knew there was a campus guy but he was past caring. It was an evening I won't forget. I sneaked away to go bid him farewell. He cried like a baby.
After I left, He tracked me to where I did my service. He tracked me to my location in Lag, he sent people. He came by himself. When all of his efforts failed, He became vindictive, he threatened me. He was hurt in his spirit. He traced me to fb and was sending frightening messages. He is a good man, he's just hurting.

I went for NYSC but I have learnt my lesson. What you won't eat, don't smell it. I didn't make any male friend in camp. I seemed like a snub to them but it's only me that understands. All through the months, I stuck to myself. This must be why your girl probably told you she loves you but can't be with you.

Eventually, I married my Lagos Bobo, he didn't waste time at all. My school bf too is married now but still sends amorous messages. I try to keep him at arms length. We don't reside in the same state and even when I visit his state, I don't get in touch with him. It's better to let sleeping dogs lie. We're both responsible to some people now.

Too much talk. Just happy that your story didn't end like mine. God bless your marriage.

Thanx for sharing dear... Strange things abounds when it comes to emotions and love in general.
Happy for your marriage as well!

Thanx once again!

And the NTA part left ROTFL...

What most of the people commenting above failed to realise is that the only way Nigeria can develop a through redistribution of the Nation wealth. This is the only way business can thrive. The major problems of Nigeria and Africa as a whole is the fact that the purchasing power of the huge population is almost zero. They can't afford new technology. The nation resources is in hand of few who will never patronise local biz but are obsessed with imported goods

This government is doing redistribution right from it's inception in 2015 but turn by turn based on availability of resources.

The farmers were the first set of people to enjoy this. Remember Kebbi rice farmers and Cocoa farmers. Also fertilizer made available for all farmers without middle men

The school lunch program for children of the poor in public school. This apart from the 5k per month for the extremely poor individual.

All these didn't start this year.
It's call social policy.

Then the unemployed youth through N power. Now it is the turn of the Corpers.

The civil servants already have access to housing loan without equity contribution and soon will have a new salary.

This was not possible before because only one person will collect the money belonging to a whole community and pocket it .

If this was done during the 16 wasted years of PDP,, it would have been a great story of development

Delusion. You obviously seek supporters. Sorry, we are wiser now...
