Hehehehe... I wonder what's making dis elections inconclusive. That word is now becoming d trending word in Nigeria's election. |
Well, this is an extension of Jonathan grave mistake of pampering the north. I just wonder if PDP are already short of better people. Tis Sherrif ma no be am at all |
Iroh88:It doesn't mean you should see the truth and ignore it. |
Iroh88:Then you are not being fair with ur comments. What is d duty of the opposition? During Jonathan's tenure, i'm sure you were aware of the insult been rained on the President by Amaechi n Oshiomole. The issue raised by Fayose is indeed a sensitive one. Where in d world has a masked witness been presented in court. If it is allowed, it is a mockery of the Judiciary. So brother let the man speak. |
HungerBAD:But your "messiah" emergency as president was based on the woes of the previous administration with the promise of miraculously turning the Nigerian economy around. But almost a year in power, there have been no cushioning effects to these woes. A man who inherited a collapsing house would try to make it a bit safer to live in instead of living there without doing nothing and continuin blaming the previous owner until it collapses completely. |
Old age na bastard |
Like this comment if u know this election will be declared inconclusive. |
President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, said his government cannot afford to fail the huge expectations of Nigerians, who expect it to lead the country to greater heights. In a keynote address at the public presentation of a book, ‘Nigerian Century’ written by Dare Babarinsa at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, President Buhari said with the proper harnessing of abundant human and natural resources in the country, it would attain its greatness. The President, who was represented by former governor of Ekiti State and deputy chairman of All Progressives Congress in the South, Segun Oni, noted that only a Nigeria could have given meaning to the indomitable spirit, boundless energy, collective creativity, cultural diversity and unique sense of enterprise of Nigerians. He said: “Yes, our land is blessed by providence with riches in oil and gas, iron ore, gold, limestone and almost all the minerals of this earth. “Our soil can grow almost any crop and our vegetation supports animal life as varied as creation can manifest. Our rivers and coast lines are rich with fishes and various kinds of life. Yet, despite these bounties from nature, I have no doubt that the greatest blessings of Nigeria are the people of Nigeria, the wonderful people that give expression to the grandeur and majesty of our beloved country.” President Buhari recalled that though Nigeria was born in adversity, nurtured to adolescence in the turbulence of the colonial period and its majesty was forged in the furnace of hard experience of the post-colonial era, the country had been able to overcome its challenges to emerge as the biggest economy in Africa. He said: “Today, our country has the fastest growing economy in Africa and one of the fastest in the world. Our dominance is not so much because of our wealth, but because of the tremendous energy and resourcefulness of our people. “How many countries of the world can parade the likes of Professor Wole Soyinka, Jay Jay Okocha, King Sunny Ade and Alhaji Aliko Dangote literally under the same roof?” Pays tribute to pre-independence leaders While paying tribute to the nation’s pre-independence leaders, the President equally hailed former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan for nurturing the country’s democracy for the past 16 years. He said: “We are in debt to the founding fathers of our Republic, Herbert Macaulay, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and many other heroes of the anti-colonial struggle. “They hoisted for us the banner of freedom that we are still enjoying till today. As President, the experience of each of my predecessors as Chief of State has provided a guiding map for us in moments of hard decisions and when we have to embrace the loneliness of power. ‘’The 12 men: Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa, General J.T.U. Aguiyi-Ironsi, General Yakubu Gowon, General Murtala Muhammed, General Olusegun Obasanjo, Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Shagari, General Ibrahim Babangida, Chief Ernest Shonekan, General Sani Abacha, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Mallam Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, each had the unique experience of modulating and moderating the sometimes turbulent temper of our great country.” In his remarks, former President Obasanjo, who was represented by Prince Julius Adelusi Adeluyi, enjoined all Nigerians to contribute to the greatness of the country. According to Obasanjo, “as long as Nigeria has life, we should give it hope; we should all resolve to heal Nigeria.” The chief presenter of the book, former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, called on the Nigerian government to discourage the teaching of foreign history in Nigerian schools, noting that Nigerian children must be taught the history of their nation. He said the 500-page book was a compendium bigger than 419 and Boko Haram. Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/02/weve-no-reason-to-fail-buhari/ |
Well said, but a little respect ought to have suffice |
Ibo boiz sha!!! See brothers o |
Then this Magu guy is a fool. So becos you are investigating them, they should now lose their rights to a fair hearing, even serial killers when captured are entitled to fair hearing n their lawyers put up good cases. Money apart, that's what lawyers sign up for. |
Please, how much sef was spent on PDP's campaign? All dis amounts are quite outrageous. |
Of course your salary can make you rich especially when working with multi-national companies at management level. The truth is that when earning salary as a family man, what takes most of the money is family up-keep, rent and school-fees. Most of these multi-national provide allowances for most of these things and maybe you might be left with up-keep and probably save more. So I think one can be rich all depending on the pay. |
Mintek:I will support you on this.... we southerners are just too foolish to see the kind of power the north is wielding. The north will always be united for their own but we southerners we are always divided by party loyalty. Just kano was able to pull over 1.9milllion votes last election in which similar figures came from some other northern states. |
LMAO!!! Who is this Comedian ![]() |
For one thing, this man is fearless. He speaks the truth whether people likes it or not. I remember his interview on channelstv when he was asked if he can use state funds for campaign, his reply was "we Governors should stop playing to the gallery, when Olusegun Obasanjo wanted to launch his Library, he asked governors to donate 10miilion naira, my salary is just 500,000 naira". He speaks the truth and he knows he might be crucified for it but someone has to speak up. |
hopilo:in who's book?? |
It is sad that some APC e-rat will come on this platform to praise this administration for doing virtually nothing. I will ask and i wll ask again, what steps have been taken to make the naira stronger against the dollar? the central bank governor is just engage in trial and erroe policies. A sensible government ought to have replaced dis man as well as the finance minister. Aside that, this administration during their campaign promised to repair the refineries. Some months after it came into power, it was circulated in the media that the Port Harcourt refinery will start production of 5million litres of PMS daily for local consumption, and about 2 or 3 months ago, the same thing was said about the Kaduna refinery. But till date, we are yet to see the effect of the "working" refineries. Unless, an APC e-rat can come on board this platform to list all what dis administration has been able to achieve since it cam into power apart from apportioning blames and it's one-sided fight against corruption, they shouldn't come here to make noise |
My trip to Benin made me understand that APC days in that state are numbered. I fail to see what the present administration did in that state. We only hear Edo state in the Media but no tangible evidence of development in that state. |
EverestdeBliu:Every expensive time piece doesn't look expensive |
My Brother, that's the clear difference between foreign firms and Nigerian controlled firms. Too much emphasis on class of degree. Most 2.2 n third class students can get jobs done better than first class students. The Nigerian educational system n curriculum encourages "la cram la pour". So students are mostly keen on studying to pass instead of studying to know as well as pass. |
My brother if dis ur story is true, it seems u want to remain stagnant all ur life |
shamecurls:Oshey!!! At least they won't die invain |
Ermm... there are pastors in Nigeria that work wonders. Your dogs can be healed. |
This man is Pathetic, he just wants to heat up the Polity |
Most people are endorsing this because it didn't happen in the west, i wondered what would have been their reaction if the Military had open fire when there was protest on Fuel Subsidy. We are in a Democratic Government for crying out loud not in a military government. |
I am Igbo and i am not in support of these foolish Biafran dream, but supporting the actions of the Nigerian security agencies towards the IPOB protesters is very wrong. There are various ways to disperse protesters without killing, water canons, tear gas and rubber bullets. Mr. President is keeping quiet about all dis but he should be careful so that it shouldn't blow up in his face. Human right activists have suddenly lost their tongue, keeping quiet to the shi'ite incident and the IPOB. Last week it was a Consultant in Imo State and still nothing is done. If nothing is done, we will be unable to bear our grievance through protests becos of the fear of the militay and Police. |
I'm a boobs guy but can also be a sucker for big arse. If u are a babe n u are flat, mehn!!! |
NobleAngell:I'm tall baby ![]() |
Topeakintola:Noted |
Yksoul:Are you listening to yourself at all? your post further exposes the incompetence of the current administration. are you telling me that the budget didn't pass through the desk of the president before it was released into the mass media. please bros, even normal village meetings understands how such things are done. |
Topeakintola:please bros, don't waste data on NL to post comments, you can use it for something better like downloading sense... i wonder why person like u wey go school go dey reason like dis. i am sure you parents will be disappointed in you if they get to ready dis. |
