Alaminz:What is dis one saying? ![]() |
Smhh!!! If you don't believe it, go online and view the sources... 15 hilux n 100 motorcycle. We don turn father xmas to anoda country while we here are suffering. |
VP lied on what he said about the roads and why must he say such a thing in the Church. The rate at which Churches are used to score political points in Nigeria is alarming. Why will Naija develop when God's house is been desecrated all because of money n Power. |
These people sha, when has criticism become insults? |
The Federal Government has donated 15 Hilux operational vehicles and 100 motorcycles to the Independent National Electoral Commission of Benin Republic to enable it conduct credible presidential election. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bulus Lolo, who presented the items in Cotonou, said that free, peaceful and credible election in Benin was of interest to Nigeria. President, Benin Republic, Boni Yayi and President Muhammadu Buhari The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the presidential elections will be held in Benin on March 6, 2016 and 36 candidates have been cleared to contest the election. Lolo encouraged the people of Benin and the electoral commission to conduct the elections in peaceful, transparent and credible manner. “Nigeria and Benin are neighbours; what happens in Benin is of immediate impact and interest to Nigeria and what happens in Nigeria has impact and is of interest to Benin. “Besides, we are one and the same people separated by colonial rule and because of this separation with a borderline, we tend to think that we are different people. “Therefore, our being here today to support the electoral process in Benin is a clear demonstration of our solidarity, brotherhood and friendship,” he said. According to him, Nigeria wants to share its experience with Benin to encourage the people of the country that there is no alternative to democratic governance. “You are witnesses to the landmark change that took place in Nigeria in 2015 following the election of President Muhammadu Buhari in a peaceful, transparent and legitimate election without rancour. “That election in Nigeria was a landmark because for the first time, a ruling party that had been in office for 16 years was voted out of office. “Through the free will of the Nigerian people, the election ushered in an opposition party for the first time in the history of Nigeria,” he said. Lolo, however, said the peaceful change could not have been possible were it not for the courageous and independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). “INEC was courageous enough to declare the winner after the event that took place in Nigeria. “Today, the support we are rendering to Benin is to enable the Commission Electorale Nationale Autonome (CENA) stand firm and ensure that the votes of the people count,” he said. He said that the support being given to Benin was a clear demonstration of Nigeria’s conviction that democracy must take very deep roots in our systems and in African countries. Responding, the President of CENA, Tiando Emmanuel, commended Nigeria’s support to Benin at all times, saying that the donation would assist the electoral body to enhance its performance. “The quality of relationship between Nigeria is demonstrated by the frequent meetings that exist between the two countries. “During the last meeting with INEC, I told the INEC Chairman that Nigeria is the senior brother of Benin and the senior brother cannot abandon the junior brother. “This gesture will allow CENA to reach the farthest parts of Benin during the election and will reinforce our democracy in Benin and democratic values in Africa,” Emmanuel said. Nigeria’s Ambassador to Benin, Dr Lawrence Obisakin, commended the leadership quality of President Muhamadu Buhari, who had supported democracy in Africa since he assumed office. Obisakin said Buhari had further re-asserted Nigeria’s continental leadership. The Ambassador of Benin to Nigeria, Mr Oyedekpo Laleye, lauded the cooperation between the two countries, pledging that the donation would be used for the betterment of the people. it's saddening how some people on come on this forum to display their shallow reasoning... Fayose raised a very sensitive issue that the Presidency is turning a blind eye to which if not contained might lead to more serious bloodbath and chaos and instead of some people to stick to the topic all day can do is to insult the man. I weep for some youths of this generation. |
but come oh, why are we youths just good at coming on social media to antagonize ourselves over some politicians that don't care about us. Why can't we form a party of ours also. Because as it is none of these parties get plans for youths at all |
@OP so sad you come on here to mislead people... The Ikot Ekpene-Umuahia Road you see there has a story behind it, that Road wanted to be worked on Under the Akpabio Administration with a joint effort from Abia State Government but the Abia State government didn't come through. The same With the Ikot EKpene-Odupkani Road.... you wonder why Akwa-ibom as the best roads both Federal Road and States Roads and the only routes into their states is in such state. I take that road severally and you will know there is more to those roads than GEJ or even any other President. Same goes for the Abakaliki-Afikpo road. |
In as much as i support this, i will say this administration is visionless and directionless (pardon my grammar). Why make promises you know might be difficult to keep? wasn't oil prices and the naira crashing during the campaigns? Some people fail to realize that this government is been attacked because of they promised the masses "heaven" and we are yet to see anything close to it. It is now glaring that they never had any plan to pay the 5k. But i am wondering where all the money for all the president's overseas trip is coming from, the APC supporters aren't asking questions when they ought to. And yet they claim Nigeria is broke and we can't fund budget and also pay youths the 5k as promised. |
All dis Imo mami-water sha... Owerri get dem plenty. #ProudImolite ![]() |
One truth is that u see one of the smoothest roads from Benin-Ore express especially in Ondo state down to Owerri-Onitsha express, then Enugu-Abakaliki express. |
I am Igbo and I say he should be killed. He man who doesn't have regards for human lives shouldn't be spared. |
Vicboi1:That man na Zero jare. He just busy erecting statues here n there as if he's planning to turn d state to his personal shrine |
meezynetwork:I swear |
I can't just stop laughing, even with my headache. *Slap made him dizzy and he saw Deji in 30 places* that's Epic. There are conflicting stories to what occurred at Sofa, so people that's weren't there shoudnt even take sides. |
This must be a joke... and they called Jonathan clueless. An economic team with no new player, just the same people that have been there and nothing has improved since their appointment. Emefiele- doing trial and error policies, Adeosun- who doesn't know her duties, Minister of trade and investment- does that one still exist?, VP Osinbajo- wetin concern SAN with economic matters. Nigeria is heading for the rocks with all dis. Buhari needs to go beyond party members to pick credible people that can resuscitate the economy. |
JaaizTech:I am not attacking the hijab nor saying it is bad... i have a friend who told me she does it out of her volition. All i am saying is that people just do somethings because of their religious background. Just like d deeper life member where the girls aren't allowed to use make-up or make themselves look pretty, do you think most of them like it that way, but they have to adhere because of religious background. In Islamic countries, do you think it is all d women that likes wearing the hijab? but most have no choice than to wear it. |
But the truth be told, most of dis people wear dis stuffs because they've got no choice. I once knew a 15 year old girl that was given away into marriage to a man of 30 and dis people aint even Hausa or Fulani. |
Where are the Femi Falanas, the Festus Keyamos and their likes that clamor for human rights. The Military is gradually becoming another arm of boko haram in the SE/SS. This is not war where we talk about collateral damage, this is just senseless attack on civilians. We are Nigerians, we must speak up now before we, our families or even our friends become the next victim. |
searchiing4love:I marvel that your level of reasoning... There is no moral grounds for any civilian Government to raise arms on its people in such brutal manner. This is more like going to war is with your fellow countrymen. I remember how Buhari himself and some northern elites attacked Jonathan for declaring war against boko haram, when he tagged them as terrorist organisation and when he declared a state of emergency in 3 northern states. Please be objective, these people have not even done any carnage compared to what Boko Haram did, and yet the innocents have been killed. |
David Mark was so sure of his Mandate that he didn't bother to appeal the ruling of the tribunal. APC is a sour loser. They should stop heating up the polity. |
People will refuse to accept the truth. Nigerians don't know when to resign in order to keep their names n reputation. Emefiele in my Opinion ought to have resigned but I guess he prefers the salary to his reputation. As for Adeosun, I won't comment on that. |
Lmao... what a joke? Most stuffs stated were the achievements of d previous administration. The rest are just what we hear in d media without concrete evidence. Local content? When na Ben Murray Bruce dey do the promotion pass. Abeg make I hear word. Thank God, Naira don dey strengthen to Dollar. |
Halleluya!!! Some good at last. |
I expected to see nice looking hats, patched eye, wooden leg, swords n gun alike, lot of gold and lot of rum!!! |
agabaI23:Smh!!! You are Pathetic |
eyeview:If things are going wrong does that mean he shouldn't speak out? |
This light issue varies though, to be fair. Some sides in lagos enjoys light while odas don't. But one truth is that the economy is crashing without any solution in site. Mr. President should just put pride aside and consult economy experts on the way forward not depending on his INCOMPETENT ministers or else we don enter one chance. |
dotmanxp:You couldn't have said it better. |
For one thing i support his idea on consultations, if not him but much more experienced hands. This thing is more than APC or Buhari, it concerns Nigerians as a whole. It's high time he should put party politics aside and seeks consultations. |
They won't still accept the truth... Our President has traveled the world more than most airline companies in the world within a year and yet Nigeria is broke. "I will reduce cost of governance", "i will reduce the presidential fleet" and what i will seeing now, the exact opposite. Make them check the fleet well if Tinubu never even convert one to his own, since he arrived Ife in one of the Helicopters commissioned in Lagos. |
