The best thing do far this season is that our subs are now contributing to our victories.

Last searing during our "drawfest", even when Mourinho introduced our subs, we still ended up drawing the match.

But this season, from our first match till now, our subs have been great, scoring for fun when they came on. I just love how our goals are spread out so everyone can contribute. No more Zlatan's dependence. Ukaku missed a PK and yet we won. I love it like this.

Bailly and Jones should be treated with utmost care lest they get injured. Those two are too much. Power, pace, brutality and mean. What a combo. If they continue like this, I just dey pity for Smalling future.

please let no soul criticise Jones today. Dude was terrific. Only Blind was constantly caught out of position.
My MOTM should be Jones!!
It's normal that Blind was caught out of position coz he was helping out in attack. Leicester crowded their 18-yard box and Blind had to be up there to help whip in few crosses. He's caught out of position because Leicester just defend and kick the ball out with hope of counter-attacking us. They didn't come out to play. If Blind decided to not join the attack, his crosses wouldn't have happened.

Good thing is we have Bailly and Jones, two pacy and very strong defenders to thwart counters.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 8:11pm On Aug 26, 2017
Jones was rocksolid today. I give him 9/10. He's covering both his position and that of Blind's when Blind was attacking. Even Valencia was great today save for some few bad crosses.

The scoreline didn't do justice to our performance. We dominated and outclassed Leicester all through. The only thing we lacked was goals. We couldn't convert our chances.

Everyone played okay, even Mata I castigated played very well. Blind had few bad moments but he supported the attack very well. Leicester were parking the bus so it ended up frustrating our game plan. Kudos to the lads, they got the job done. Another assist for Mhikitaryan.

Elamps, we know you have favorites, but let's be open-minded.

I'd Jones did okay but he was caught out of position on several occasions. If Mahrez had gotten that pass a split second earlier he could've punished us severely. However, he covered up quickly and saved the team.

Also, Valencia is not unduly criticized. He was sub par. Failed to drive forward on many occasions when he had the chance to and couldn't deliver his crosses well. I'd say Blind's crosses were far more dangerous than his.
The Jones I saw today was superb. Even when he lost Mahrez, he recovered in time to foil Mahrez' last attempt. Bailly-Jones partnership is looking like the real deal. I hope they keep it up.

Mata again!! I don tire!!

What kind of weed do Mourinho smoke? Ogbomosho weed? Didn't this man see how the removal of Mata from last match changed the fluidity of game and led to more goals? Lingard or Rashford would have been the best option. I don't get it. What's with madness and sudden infatuation over Mata from Mourinho? huh

Making my position clear...

I'm not saying Pereira should go on a loan. No. I'm saying based on the recent rumors that he's about to be loaned out. . .

He's better off staying put and giving Mourinho enough headache to start him and then win Mou over with his displays, or he moves out permanently and do a Pogba. The loan move doesn't favor him coz at the end of the day, he'll be back next season, play in the pre-season and go out on a loan again. Same ol' cycle. He'd stay and fight or move out permanently.

This sounds like a more sensible option. The guy has better potential than these loan deals.

Sorry if i didnt comprehend your earlier post properly, even our epl opponents believe we have a strong team as it is and Mourhino cant write the cheques all by himself. I just want us to believe in the team for the best.
It's cool, Bro. I believe we have a better squad this season than last season. I believe in the team and the coach. Even though I wanted some more but I still believe in what we have now. By January we could still add more.

The Dude even suggests JM should keep Andreas Perreira, whereas what's better for the Lad is still go on Loan.

If Herrera is no more in the starting Eleven, and we also have Fellaini on the Bench, hence how is he expecting Perreira to enjoy playing Time for his Development?!
I pity Andreas honestly. Fellani, Carrick, Hererra and even Tominay are all on the bench. That midfield is filled to the brim. I'd love him to shine for us but if I was him, I'll seek a permanent transfer and add a buy-back clause if I'm still dreaming of turning out for United.

According to Daily Star

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will let Andreas Pereira join Valencia on loan.

This is one player i would have loved to see in the first team this season but the Coach knows better.
If I'm him, I'll do a Keane/Pogba - move out permanently and reignite my career. All these loan moves are bad for him. Waste of time, IMHO.

Has young ever flourished as a RW in his Career?! The best Game he ever had in United Shirt was against Arsenal and he played as a LW.

I will rather hope JM plays Lingard as a RW instead of him.
I was shocked he's suggesting Young as a RW for us. I had to point it out coz it sounded ridiculous to me. I'll take Mata over Young as a RW. RW and Young should never be in the same sentence. LvG once used him there and he's beyond horrible.

Do we need to go over Board simply to counter a Post or make our own Point(s)?! Is he being pessimistic with the Post for real?! I think he's not..... coz if he is, he wouldn't be asking for more reinforcement for the Team.

JM keeps saying he wouldn't mind the fourth Signing - a RW precisely, hence he's right to ask for the same. Moreso JM said in the Press Conference that Shaw isn't ready yet, and Rojo will come back in December.

Besides he said; JM may have made a stupid Mistake......! Thus how is he wrong with his submissions in the Post?!

Cut yourself some Slacks bro, and stop stylishly asking for cheap Likes.
I decided to ignore that line from him because I doubt he knows what a pessimistic post actually mean. My post was centered mostly on Mhiki and congratulating Mou for figuring out how to finally use him. Too bad he saw it another way. I can't be arsed to start explaining every post of mine.

Please cut Mourhino some slack and stop being overly pessimistic .

I disagree that we dont have options at the LB. Blind,Shaw,Darmian and Rojo can man that position.

The only position where we are undermanned is the RW even at that we have various utility players to cover up there, Young can easily deputise for Mata on that wing when he is fit. We have to believe in the manager and the team.

Our major setback last season was that we couldn't convert the loads of chances created to goals not these RW or LB issue and that problem has been sorted this season . Lets have faith.
Young at our RW? May heaven forbid it. I'd rather have Lingard, Mhiki and even Valencia (as a WB in a 3-5-2)there than see Young anywhere near that wing. Young has had his best displays for us at the LW and if he can't play there, then bench it is.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 10:08am On Aug 26, 2017
Mourinho may have made a stupid mistake of not recruiting an LB and RW this season, but one thing he's gotten right is returning Mhikitaryan as an AM. I complained a lot about this last season and it seems he's finally seen the light.

Playing Pogba as an AM is a disaster waiting to happen. He's not that kind of guy that run at defenders for a long time before squeezing in a through pass for our strikers. He controls the midfield. But Mhikitaryan gives us that. He has a vision like Pogba, can dribble, has pace and most importantly, can run with ball at his over a reasonable distance giving our attackers the chance to show up at different positions to receive a through pass.

I've no doubt that Mhikitaryan will perform better than last season if he's not shunted out to the wings again. If Mourinho can't play him at his natural position, he'd just bench him. Putting him on the wings is a waste of his talent. This link below wrote everything I've said about this Mhiki's issue last season.

At the bold part - seems Jose has converted Martial to a Winger?! He's no more a potential Striker to him anymore and he needs to build his Game as a Winger!
Martial is most lethal as a winger. Unless he's played in a SS position, he's going to stink up the whole joint. Let him remain a winger, abeg.

I am not sure why folks are already writing Tottenham off. I am looking at that group, and i dare say they stand a good chance of qualifying ahead of BVB.

Poch has proven his team can be stingy at the back, great on the counter, and dangerous on set pieces which is contrasting to BVB who like Liverpool concede tons of goals.

Real Madrid
Tottenham
Borussia Dortmund
Apoel Nicosia
I agree totally with you. Real Madrid are sure to qualify but I think Tottenham have more chances of grabbing the second spot over BVB.

This make or mar season for JM he will prefer having too many players to haing a thin injury ravaged squad.
In addition to the fact that the likes of Young, Smalling, Darmian and Co are not quality options at their positions. I'd have loved us to still get a RW before this TW closes, if possible two quality additions. We're going to be involved in 4 competitions this season and need enough firepower

This time around, I'm happy with Zlatan re-signing for us unlike the first time when I was against his signing. At least, with Lukaku firing on all cylinders, I won't have to be worried that Zlatan MUST play all our matches when fit. He's going to be a back-up and a goal-getting one at that. Nice additions.

If you paid attention you would know I declared Manchester United favourite before the league started and the 4-0 wins are not surprising to me it was expected.
I noticed but there's no need reading meaning into it as I'd have done the same and declared City as favourites citing reasons like Guardiola as the best coach and the influx of players + cash spent. So you saying United are favourites is the perfect card to play.

Buys is not what makes a team favourite, Its how settled your team is that makes them favourite. Spurs isnt buying anyone, EVerton is buying 10 players does that make Everton favourite over Spurs? Madrid isnt buying anyone, City is buying 6 players does that make City favourite over them?
The embolden is not necessarily true and it's dependent on a lot of factors. Tottenham are settled but are not rated as favourites more than United, Chelsea or City. Quality of players, cash spent, and "settlement of players" etc., are factors that are considered.

Man Uts have a better and younger team who are growing and will get better, City has to basically dismantle the old team selling the bulk of their old players who are old and getting fresh legs.
Those fresh legs are young and are quality players which counts. The likes of Danilo, Walker, Mendy and Silva are still in their 20s and will get better too. Plus they're quality purchases. For me, City are equal if not more favourites than United and Chelsea. Two wins for United means nothing, City started better than we're doing now last season but people were too quick to label them as favourites before things came crashing down.
